Sintering and Dielectric Characteristics of LaAlO3 Ceramics by Mechanochemical Treatment from La2O3-A12O3 and La2O3-Al(OH)3 (La2O3-Al2O3와 La2O3-Al(OH)3를 메카노케미칼로 처리한 LaAlO3세라믹스의 소결 및 유전특성)

  • The dielectric properties and synthesis of $LaAlO_3$ ceramics from mixtures of $La_2O_3-Al_2O_3$ (LAO) and $La_2O_3-Al(OH)_3$(LAH) via grinding process were investigated. The single phase $LaA1O_3$of LAO and LAH powders were formed at $1300^{\circ}C$ and $1000^{\circ}C$, respectively. A non-reacted $La_2O_3$ existing in calcined powder was changed to La(OH)$_3$by moisture in the air, and their samples were worse than those of the samples made from a $LaA1O_3$single phase powder. The densities of LAO samples sintered at 150$0^{\circ}C$ for 4 h and LAH samples sintered at $1400^{\circ}C$ for 4 h were 97.3% and 98.3% of theory density, respectively. Grains of LAH sample showed uniformity and their sizes were 0.75 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, and LAO samples showed non-uniformity and their sizes were 4-5 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Dielectric constant of LAO and LAH samples were the same value (≒22), however dielectric loss of LAH sample (0.0003) were lower than that of LAO sample(0.001)due to grain size.

The Effect of Trivalent Cation Doping on the Low Temperature Phase Stability of 2Y-TZP (3가 양이온 산화물이 첨가된 2Y-TZP의 저온 상안정성)

  • The phase stability and the Low Temperature Degradation(LTD) mechanism of Tetragonal Zirconia Polycrystals(TZP), sintered specimens of $Y_2O_3$-Stabilized Zirconia(2Y-TZP), doped with trivalent cations, were evaluated by investigating meachnical properties, Raman spectra, lattice parameter variation and the oxygen vacancy behavior under applied electric field. XRD observation was put forward on 2Y-TZP doped with trivalent cation whose ionic radii were larger than $Zr^{4+}(Sc^{3+},\;Yb^{3+},\;Y^{3+},\;Sm^{3+},\;Nd^{3+},\;La^{3+})$ up to 2 mol% and sintered at 1500 h for 1h. For $La^{3+}$ doping, the stability of tetragonal phase was degraded due to the formation of the pyrochlore phase $(La_2Zr_2O_7)$ as the dopant content increased above exceeded 0.5 mol%. As the dosage increased, tetragonal phase maintained for the case of $Sc^{3+}$, whose radius was similar to $Zr^{4+}$, on the other hand, the cubic phase was formed for the cases of $Yb^{3+},\;Y^{3+},\;Sm^{3+},\;Nd^{3+}$. As the radii of dopant cation increased, c/a ratio increased and it was experimentally observed that the amount of monoclinic phase decreased when the specimens were annealed at $220{\circ}C$ for 500 h.

Material and Sensing Properties of SnO2 prepared by Sol-Gel Methods (Sol-Gel법에 의한 SnO2의 물성 및 센싱 특성)

  • Fine particles of $SnO_2$ were fabricated by the sol-gel powder processing using tine(II) chloride dihydrate($SnCl_2{\cdot}2H_2O$) and ethanol($C_2H_5OH$) as raw materials. The powders were investigated about the properties and electrical sensing. Gel powders were fabricated by drying of sol at $120^{\circ}C$ after aging 72hrs and 168hrs. The amount of $SnO_2$ phase was increased below $600^{\circ}C$ due to the elimination of volatile components, and the $SnO_2$ phase was almost completed by the heat treatment at $700^{\circ}C$ for 30min. The grain sizes were about 30nm below $700^{\circ}C$, and it showed the narrow distribution of the grain sizes. The specimens to measure electrical properties were fabricated by the thick film screen printing technique on the alumina substrates. The conductance of $SnO_2$ was showed the intrinsic behaviour of semiconducting ceramics above at $450^{\circ}C$. The constant conductance was observed in the temperature range of $200{\sim}450^{\circ}C$. The sensing properties of response time, recovery, and sensitivity of CO were improved with aging time.

Effect of Microwave Vacuum Heating on Inactivation of Enzymes (마이크로파 진공가열방법이 효소의 불활성화에 미치는 영향)

  • Microwave vacuum heating method (2450 MHz) was used for a low intensity of heat treatments. High vacuum under the microwave heating could bring low temperature condition. Inactivation of ${\alpha}-amylase,\;{\beta}-amylase$, glucoamylase and peroxidase by microwave vacuum heating were investigated at 60-$80^{\circ}C$. It was compared with conventional heating. The heating condition of microwave vacuum heating was confirmed by the destruction of ascorbic acid. When thermal inactivations of the enzymes by microwave vacuum heating were determined, it was less effective than that of conventional method at the initial stage of heating. It was due to a lag time of microwave heating. However, the heating time for complete inactivation of the enzymes by microwave vacuum heating could be reduced comparing with that of conventional heating. Optimum conditions for inactivation of the enzymes could be obtained by microwave vacuum heating.

Pasteurization of Carrot Juice by High Voltage Pulsed Electric Fields with Square Wave Pulse and Quality Change during Storage (고전압 square wave pulse를 이용한 당근 주스의 살균 및 저장 중 품질 변화)

  • In this study, carrot juice was treated with high voltage pulsed electric fields (PEF) and the changes in its physical and chemical properties during storage at $4^{\circ}C$ and $25^{\circ}C$ were investigated. The sterility fur bacteria, yeast and mold in carrot juice increased with increasing electric field strength and treatment temperature. While yeast and mold were completely inactivated at 65kV/cm with a treatment time of $200{\mu}s$ in a continuous PEF treatment system, bacteria were reduced by four log cycles. The results also showed that square wave pulse treatment was more effective for inactivating microorganisms than exponential decay pulse, and this effect was more apparent for carrot juice of lower pH. Although we observed significant changes in physical and chemical properties such as soluble solid content, pH, acidity, color, and carotene retention when the PEF treated samples were stored at the ambient temperature $(20^{\circ}C)$, no significant physical and chemical changes were found at the cold storage temperature $(4^{\circ}C)$ during 28 days of storage. The results indicate that the PEF treated carrot juice is appropriate for commercial refrigerated storage.

  • Aluminum sulfate hydrate was prepared using sulfuric acid from Ha-dong kaolin. The effects of calcination-temperature and calcination-time of kaolin, reaction-temperature and reaction-time, and sulfuric acid concentration on the formation of aluminum sulfate hydrate were investigated. The precipitation condition of aluminum sulfate hydrate from sulfuric acid solution was determined. Also, the products heat-treated at different temperatures have been investigated by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer, scanning electron microscopy, particle size distribution analysis and chemical analysis. In the optimum condition, the conversion of aluminum oxide in kaolin to aluminum sulfate hydrate was 60%. From the results of XRD, TG-DTA, and FT-IR, it is suggested that the aluminum sulfate hydrate is thermally decomposed as follows ; $Al_2(SO_4)_3{\cdot}18H_2O{\rightarrow}Al_2(SO_4)_3{\cdot}6H_2O{\rightarrow}Al_2(SO_4){\rightarrow}\;amorphous\;alumina{\rightarrow}{\gamma}-alumina{\rightarrow}{\delta}-alumina{\rightarrow}{\theta}-alumina{\rightarrow}{\alpha}-alumina$. The purity of alumina powder prepared by calcining aluminum sulfate hydrate at $1200^{\circ}C$ was 99.99 percent.

Effect of Angiotensin-I Converting Enzyme Inhibitory from Hydrolysate of Soybean Protein Isolate (분리대두단백질 가수분해물의 Angiotensin-I Converting Enzyme 저해효과)

  • The angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibition effect of soybean protein isolate hydrolysate was studied using protease. Soybean protein isolate was hydrolysed by seven enzymes (Alcalase 2.4 L, Flavourzyme 500 MG, GC 106, Multifect Neutral, Neutrase 0.8 L, Papain 30,000 and Protamex), enzyme concentrations (0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5%), at various hydrolysis times (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 hr) and suspension concentrations (1, 5, 7, 10 and 15%). Absorbance at 280 nm, brix and ACE inhibitory activity of soybean protein isolate hydrolysates were investigated. Absorbance at 280 nm and brix of Alcalase 2.4 L treatment were higher than other enzyme treatments. The optimum condition of hydrolysis was Alcalase 2.4 L, 1% enzyme concentration, 5% suspension concentration for 4 hr. $IC_{50}$ value of ACE inhibitory activity of soybean protein isolate hydrolysate was $79.94 {\mu}g/mL$. These results suggest that soybean isolate protein hydrolysate from Alcalase 2.4 L may be of benefit for developing antihypertensive therapeutics.

A Kinetic Study of GaN Formation from GaOOH under $NH_3$ Flowing ($NH_3$ 분위기에서 GaOOH로부터 GaN의 반응기구)

  • 최근, 새로운 전자재료로서 GaN 분말의 합성과 응용에 관한 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있다. CaN 분말은 열처리 과정 중 분해를 방지하기 위한 표면 보호용 소재, CaN 박막 또는 벌크 결정을 성장하기 위한 precursor 및 대면적 평판표시소자 제작을 위한 전기발광소자용 소재 등에 적용되고 있다. 일반적으로 100$0^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서Ga과 NH$_3$를 반응시키거나, Ga이 포함된 화합물반도체 또는 산화물 및 질산염 등을 NH$_3$ 분위기에서 가열시켜 GaN 분말을 합성시키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 출발물질로서 GaOOH를 채택하고, 이를 NH$_3$ 가스를 흘리면서 가열 반응시켜 GaN 분말을 합성하고 X선 회절분석 방법을 사용하여 GaN의 합성에 대한 반응기구를 조사하였다. GaN 분말을 합성하기 위하여 GaOOH 분말 1g을 석영 용기에 담아 석영 반응관 내에 위치시키고, 반응관 내부를 $10^{-3}$ torr의 진공으로 배기한 후 $N_2$를 주입하면서 전기로의 온도를 1$0^{\circ}C$/min으로 승온시켰다. 반응온도는 300~l17$0^{\circ}C$의 범위에서 변화시켰고, 반응시간은 10분부터 24시간까지 변화시켰으며, NH$_3$의 유량은 300~700 sccm의 범위에서 변화시켰다. GaN의 반응역학을 조사하기 위하여 X선 회절도에서 특정 성분의 회절강도는 시료 내에 포함된 특정 성분의 량에 직접 비례한다고 가정하고, 2$\theta$=37$^{\circ}$부근에서 관찰되는 GaN의 (101)면에 의한 회절강도를 측정하고, 이를 GaN의 생성량으로 고려하였다.}C$로 소결 하였다. coating 결과 박리현상은 없었으나, 표면과 단면의 SEM분석결과 다소 porous한 박막층이 형성되었으며, Ca이온이 지지체로 permeation되는 현상이 발생하였다. 이와 같은 결과로부터 보다 치밀한 박막생성을 위해, slurry 제조조건을 변화시켰으며, Ca이온의 migration을 막기 위해 barrier layer를 이용하였다 완전 소결된 지지체는 가스투과도와 전기전도도측정을 통하여 특성을 평가하였다.였다.다.m이하의 NH$_3$ 가스를 검출할 수 있었다.기 화강암 관입 이전에 좌수향 전단 운동에 의해 부분적으로 재활성 되었으며, 후기 화강암의 관입 이후에 재차 우수향 전단운동으로 활성화 되었음을 알 수 있다. 이상의 결과를 종합하면 호남전단대는 쥬라기 중기에 발생한 광역적인 우수향의 연성전단운동이나, 운동 특성은 연속적이기 보다는 단속적으로 일어난 것으로 생각된다.리 폐 관류는 정맥주입 방법에 비해 고농도의 cisplatin 투여로 인한 다른 장기에서의 농도 증가 없이 폐 조직에 약 50배 정도의 고농도 cisplatin을 투여할 수 있었으며, 또한 분리 폐 관류 시 cisplatin에 의한 직접적 폐 독성은 발견되지 않았다이 낮았으나 통계학적 의의는 없었다[10.0%(4/40) : 8.2%(20/244), p>0.05]. 결론: 비디오흉강경술에서 재발을 낮추기 위해 수술시 폐야 전체를 관찰하여 존재하는 폐기포를 놓치지 않는 것이 중요하며, 폐기포를 확인하지 못한 경우와 이차성 자연기흉에 대해서는 흉막유착술에 더 세심한 주의가 필요하다는 것을 확인하였다. 비디오흉강경수술은 통증이 적고, 입원기간이 짧고, 사회로의 복귀가 빠르며, 고위험군에 적용할 수 있고, 무엇보다도 미용상의 이점이 크다는 면에서 자연기흉에 대해 유용한 치료방법임에는 틀림이 없으나 개흉술에 비

Characterization of Cellulolytic Activity from Pseudomonas sp. JH1014 (Pseudomonas sp. JH1014의 섬유소분해 활성 특성)

  • Pseudomonas sp. JH1014 was isolated from stream water as a detergent-compatible alkaline protease producing microorganism. The strain produced no detectable cellulolytic activity in LB medium. The addition of carboxymethyl cellulose induced the production of carboxymethyl cellulase (CMCase) without causing any significant change in the growth pattern of the strain. The strain reached its maximum growth after 9 to 12 h at $37^{\circ}C$, and the production of CMCase in the presence of the substrate reached its maximum after 21 h of growth at $37^{\circ}C$. The optimum pH of the crude enzyme preparation was pH 6.0. The enzyme had an optimal temperature at $55^{\circ}C$, and retained 70% of its original activity when preincubated at $70^{\circ}C$ for 10 min. Activity staining of the crude enzyme preparation separated on an SDS-PAGE gel showed two active bands with molecular masses of 54 and 30 kDa, indicating that Pseudomonas sp. JH1014 produced at least 2 kinds of CMCase.

  • To examine the storage effect of the dry cured cultured undaria pinnetifida, its components were researched according to different places and periods of production and in heat treatment of it, how the different time, temperature and salt concentration can effect on its storage was researched as follows. In Pohang and Yeosu districts the most suitable period of processing was around the end of December and in Wando district, around the end of January. When it was heat-treated separately at $90^{\circ}C\;and\;100^{\circ}C$ there of occurred the comparative low increase of organic acids and volatile acids, and the slight decrease of pigment. When it was heat-treated in sea water and satuarated NaCl solution, the obvious change was not found in all components, and in fresh water organic acids and volatile acids were conspicuously increased. When it was heat-treated according to the different heating time (long or short), there was no remarkable change in all components, but when heat-treated for 20 sec. the decrease of carotenoid was conspicuous. When heat-treated for 40 sec. separately at $90^{\circ}C\;and\;100^{\circ}C$ in sea water, better effect for storage was resulted.
