A Validation Check of Simulation Model with the Model Transformation (모델변환에 의한 시뮬레이션 모델의 타당성 검사)

  • 시뮬레이션(simulation)은 실 시스템(real system)의 효과적이고 효율적인 운영을 도모하기 위하여 실 시스템의 동작을 이해하고 분석, 예측, 평가하는 과학적인 문제해결 접근방법이다. 시뮬레이션 수행단계는 실 시스템의 행위를 정확히 반영하도록 타당한 모델을 구축하는 모델링 단계와 모델에 의도하는 명령어들을 컴퓨터 프로그램으로 작성하는 구현단계로 나누어진다. 시뮬레이션 모델은 시간, 상태, 확률변수, 상호규칙 등의 여러 관점에 따라 다양하게 존재하는데, DEVS(Descrete EVent system Specification) 모델은 연속적인 시간상에서 이산적으로 발생하는 사건에 따라 시스템의 상태를 분석할 수 있고 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 방법론의 형식화를 위한 견고한 이론적 기반을 제공하고 있다. 또한, DEVS 모델은 모듈적, 계층적 특성을 제공하고 집합론에 근거한 수학적 형식구조를 제공하여 실 시스템에 대한 체계적인 분석과정을 수행하게 되어 보다 현실적인 모델링을 가능하게 한다. 그러나 타당하지 못한 DEVS 모델이 구축되면 시뮬레이션을 통한 분석결과의 신뢰성이 떨어져 아무런 효과가 없고 경제적인 손실만이 따른다. DEVS 모델에 대한 기존의 타당성 검사가 많은 시간과 노력이 요구되고, 반복적인 DEVS 모델링 과정으로 인한 전문적이고 경험적인 지식을 요구한다. 또한, 모델설계자에 의해 설정된 실험 프레임하에서 DEVS 모델의 구성요소에 속하는 상태전이함수, 시간진행함수 및 출력함수에 대하여 commutative 성질의 보전성 검사가 어렵다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, DEVS 모델에 대한 타당성 검사를 SPN(Stochastic Petri Net) 모델로 변환하여 SPN 모델을 이용하는 간단하고 효과적인 타당성 검사 방법을 제안한다. 먼저, DEVs 모델에 대한 개념과 기존의 DEVS 모델에 대한 타당성 검사 방법을 고찰하고 그 문제점에 대하여 자세히 설명한다. DEVS 모델의 타당성 검사에 이용하는 SPN 모델에 대한 개념과 DEVS 모델과 행위적으로 동등한 SNP 모델로 변환을 위한 관점을 제조명하다. 동일한 관점에서 두 모델의 상태표현이 같도록 DEVS 모델이 SPN 모델로 표현됨을 보이는 변환이론을 제시하고 변환이론을 바탕으로 모델 변환과정을 제시한다. 모델 변환이론과 변환고정을 기본으로 타당성 검사를 위한 새로운 동질함수(homogeneous function)를 정의하고 이와 함께 SPN 모델의 특성을 이용하여 DEVS 모델에 대한 타당성 검사 방법을 새롭게 제안한다.

Analysis of Korean Spontaneous Speech Characteristics for Spoken Dialogue Recognition (대화체 연속음성 인식을 위한 한국어 대화음성 특성 분석)

  • Spontaneous speech is ungrammatical as well as serious phonological variations, which make recognition extremely difficult, compared with read speech. In this paper, for conversational speech recognition, we analyze the transcriptions of the real conversational speech, and then classify the characteristics of conversational speech in the speech recognition aspect. Reflecting these features, we obtain the baseline system for conversational speech recognition. The classification consists of long duration of silence, disfluencies and phonological variations; each of them is classified with similar features. To deal with these characteristics, first, we update silence model and append a filled pause model, a garbage model; second, we append multiple phonetic transcriptions to lexicon for most frequent phonological variations. In our experiments, our baseline morpheme error rate (WER) is 31.65%; we obtain MER reductions such as 2.08% for silence and garbage model, 0.73% for filled pause model, and 0.73% for phonological variations. Finally, we obtain 27.92% MER for conversational speech recognition, which will be used as a baseline for further study.

Information Modeling of Railway Track using Information Iinkage of Railway Alignment and Alignment-based Objects (철도 선형중심의 객체 정보연계를 통한 철도 궤도부 정보모델 생성 방안)

  • As BIM has been widely used in the field of architecture, efforts to apply BIM to civil engineering structures are increasing rapidly. Since commercial BIM softwares are focused on building structure, it is difficult to apply to alignment-based civil infrastructures. In this study, we proposed a method to generate an information model that reflects cant by sharing information between alignment-centered modeling tools and BIM authoring tools to manage information of railway track. The railway track modeling process consists of classifying structures into continuous and non-continuous structures, creating continuous structures by alignment-centered modeling tools, and using the shared alignment information to generate information model of the non-continuous structures. Non-continuous structures were generated by an algorithm that calculates the position and rotation information of each structure based on discretized railway alignment and cant information transmitted to the BIM authoring tools. The availabilities of proposed method were studied by applying to the osong test-line. Using the test model, it was shown that the objects were identified, the properties were extracted, and the quantities of each structure were calculated.

  • An effective algorithm for implementation of which detects moving object from image sequences. predicts the direction of it. and drives the camera in real time is proposed. In static camera, for robust motion detection from a dynamic background scene, the proposed algorithm performs statistical modeling of moving objects and background, and trains the statistical modeling of moving objects and background, and trains the statistical feature of background with the initial parts of sequence which have no moving objects. Active camera moving objects are segmented by following procedure, an improved order adaptive lattice structured linear predictor is used. The proposed algorithm shows robust object tracking results in the environment of static or active camera. It can be used for the unmanned surveillance system, traffic monitoring system, and autonomous vehicle.

  • The structure of steady wave system is considered which is admitted by the continuum equations for materials that undergo phase transformations with exothermic chemical reaction. With its theoretical basis in one-dimensional continuum shock structure analysis, the present approach estimates the micro-width of waves associated with phase transformation phenomena, n-heptane is selected as the hydrocarbon fuel for evaporation and condensation analysis while HMX is used for melting and freezing analysis of solid rocket propellant. The estimated thickness of evaporation - condensation front of n-heptane is on the order of $10^{-2}$ micron while the HMX melting - freezing front thickness is estimated at 1 micron.

  • Recently MR CDC damper has been applied to semi-active suspension control system gradually. Compared to former hydraulic CDC damper, it has rapid time response performance as well as simple internal structure and wide range of damping force. In order to develop control logic algorithm which enables to take maximum advantage of unique characteristics of MR CDC damper, it is inevitable to perform a thorough investigation into its nonlinear performance. In many previous researches, MR fluid model was either simply assumed as Bingham Plastic, or a phenomenological model based on experiment was established instead to predict damping performance of MR CDC damper. These experimental flow model which is not based on flow analysis but intentionally built to fit damping characteristics, may lead to totally different results in case of different configuration or structure of MR CDC damper. In this study, a generalized flow formula from mathematical flow model of MR fluid for annular orifice is derived to analyze and predict damping characteristics when current is excited at piston valve.

  • Test anxiety has been defined as a situational-specific personality trait, with cognitive worry and affective emotionality components. Various treatments differ in the extent to which they attempt to modify the emotional and cognitive components of test anxiety, and can thus be placed along a cognitive-emotional continum on the basis of the intended locus of impact of the therapeutic techniques. Various treatments along a cognitive-emotional continum and study habits, test-taking skills and modeling in the treatment of test anxiety were reviewed. On the basis of a recent review of a number of test-anxiety treatment studies, most cognitively-focused treatments tend to be more effective in reducing test anxiety and its worry and emotionality components.

  • In this paper, we propose the human identification system based on Hidden Markov model using gait. Since each gait cycle consists of a set of continuous motion states and transition across states has probabilistic dependences, individual gait can be modeled using Hidden Markov model. We assume that individual gait consists of N discrete transitions and we propose gait feature representation, Modified Motion Silhouette Image (MMSI) to represent and recognize individual gait. MMSI is defined as a gray-level image and it provides not only spatial information but also temporal information. The experimental results show gait recognition performance of proposed system.

Characterization of Composite Frame for Enhancing Energy Harvesting Function of a Smart Shoes (스마트 슈즈의 에너지 하베스팅 기능향상을 위한 복합재료 프레임 특성평가)

  • In this study, a composite material frame was designed to increase the energy harvesting efficiency of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) ribbon harvesters which are installed inside smart shoes. In order to minimize the amount of deformation in the load direction of the frame, it was designed using carbon continuous fiber composites and its complex shaped structure was manufactured using a 3D printer. In order to calculate the amount of deformation of the insole and midsole of the shoes under the condition of the load generated during walking, the insole and midsole were modeled using the distributed spring elements. Using finite element analysis, the elongation of ribbon-type harvesters mounted on smart shoes was calculated during walking. It is expected that the predicted elongation of the harvester can be utilized to increase the energy harvesting efficiency of smart shoes.

  • 우리나라의 기후 자료는 일반적으로 기상청에서 발표하는 종관기상관측(ASOS)과 방재기상관측(AWS), 그리고 북한이 세계기상기구(WMO, World Meteorogical Organization)의 기상통신망(GTS)을 통해 보낸 북한기상관측(NKO)을 사용 할 수 있다. 그러나 이 중 40년 이상의 완전한 관측 자료를 얻을 수 있는 건 ASOS가 유일하지만 공간적인 표현에 한계를 갖고 있다. AWS는 관측소가 많다는 장점이 있지만 관측 기간이 길지 않고 이용 가능한 기간에도 관측이 연속적이지 못한 경우가 많다. NKO는 비록 27개의 관측소가 있지만 많은 데이터가 누락되어 일별 기후자료의 사용에 한계를 갖고 있다. 이러한 미관측 기간이나 관측 자료의 누락은 연속적인 시계열 자료분석을 기반으로 하는 수자원 모델링에 있어서 문제를 야기한다. 본 연구는 1973년부터 2019년까지 47년의 신뢰도 높은 한반도 일일 기후 자료를 구축하기 위해 다양한 방법론을 비교하였다. 추정에 사용한 방법은 총 7개로 EM algorithm for probabilistic principal components (PPCA-EM), Inverse distance weight method (IDWM), Nearest neighbor method (NNM), Multivariate normal copulas (Copula), Elastic net model (Elastic), Ordinary kriging (OK), Regularized principal components with EM algorithm (RPCA-EM)를 살펴보았다. 다양한 형태의 결측치를 가정하여 그 결과값을 비교하였고 이는 Root mean squared error(RMSE), Kling-Gupta efficiency(KGE), Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency(NSE)를 통해 평가하였다. 최종 선택된 방법론을 통하여 한반도 전역을 그리드 기반의 강수 및 최저온도/최고온도의 일별자료로 생성하였다.
