A construction of a time-speed function in the time-distance function of students with chunky reasoning (덩어리 추론을 하는 학생의 시간-거리함수에서 시간-속력함수 구성에 대한 연구)

  • Previous studies from domestic and abroad are accumulating information on how to reason students' continuous changes through teaching experiments. These studies deal with scenes in which students who make 'smooth reasoning' and 'chunky reasoning' construct mathematical results together in teaching experiments. However, in order to analyze their results in more detail, it is necessary to check what kind of results a student reasoning in a specific way constructs for the tasks of previous studies. According to the need for these studies, the researcher conducted a total of 14 teaching experiments on one first-year high school student who was found to make 'chunky reasoning'. In this study, it was possible to observe a scene in which a student who makes 'chunky reasoning' constructs an output similar to 'a mathematical result constructed by students with various reasoning methods(smooth reasnoning or chunky reasoning) in previous studies.' In particular, the student who participated in this study observed a consistent construction method of constructing the function of 'time-speed' from the function of 'time-distance'. The researcher expected that information on this student's distinctive construction methods would be helpful for subsequent studies.

  • The analysis of the variable continuous big data stram should reach the destination context awareness. This study presented a novel way of context inference of the variable data stream from sensor motes. For assessment of the sensor data, we calculated the difference of each measured value at the time window and determined the belief value of each focal element. It was beneficial that calculate and assessment of factor of situation for context inference with the Dempster-Shfer evidence theory.

Epistemological Implications of Scientific Reasoning Designed by Preservice Elementary Teachers during Their Simulation Teaching: Evidence-Explanation Continuum Perspective (초등 예비교사가 모의수업 시연에서 구성한 과학적 추론의 인식론적 의미 - 증거-설명 연속선의 관점 -)

  • In this study, I took the evidence-explanation (E-E) continuum perspective to examine the epistemological implications of scientific reasoning cases designed by preservice elementary teachers during their simulation teaching. The participants were four preservice teachers who conducted simulation instruction on the seasons and high/low air pressure and wind. The selected discourse episodes, which included cases of inductive, deductive, or abductive reasoning, were analyzed for their epistemological implications-specifically, the role played by the reasoning cases in the E-E continuum. The two preservice teachers conducting seasons classes used hypothetical-deductive reasoning when they identified evidence by comparing student-group data and tested a hypothesis by comparing the evidence with the hypothetical statement. However, they did not adopt explicit reasoning for creating the hypothesis or constructing a model from the evidence. The two preservice teachers conducting air pressure and wind classes applied inductive reasoning to find evidence by summarizing the student-group data and adopted linear logic-structured deductive reasoning to construct the final explanation. In teaching similar topics, the preservice teachers showed similar epistemic processes in their scientific reasoning cases. However, the epistemological implications of the instruction were not similar in terms of the E-E continuum. In addition, except in one case, the teachers were neither good at abductive reasoning for creating a hypothesis or an explanatory model, nor good at using reasoning to construct a model from the evidence. The E-E continuum helps in examining the epistemological implications of scientific reasoning and can be an alternative way of transmitting scientific reasoning.

Shot Boundary Detection of Video Data Based on Fuzzy Inference (퍼지 추론에 의한 비디오 데이터의 샷 경계 추출)

  • In this paper, we describe a fuzzy inference approach for detecting and classifying shot transitions in video sequences. Our approach basically extends FAM (Fuzzy Associative Memory) to detect and classify shot transitions, including cuts, fades and dissolves. We consider a set of feature values that characterize differences between two consecutive frames as input fuzzy sets, and the types of shot transitions as output fuzzy sets. The inference system proposed in this paper is mainly composed of a learning phase and an inferring phase. In the learning phase, the system initializes its basic structure by determining fuzzy membership functions and constructs fuzzy rules. In the inferring phase, the system conducts actual inference using the constructed fuzzy rules. In order to verify the performance of the proposed shot transition detection method experiments have been carried out with a video database that includes news, movies, advertisements, documentaries and music videos.

Cursor Control by the Finger Movement Using Fuzzy Inference (퍼지 추론을 적용한 손가락 이동에 의한 커서 제어)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상 해석 알고리즘의 하나인 원형 패턴 벡터 알고리즘과 퍼지 추론을 사용하여 손가락으로 커서를 제어하는 인터페이스를 구현하였다. 최대 원형 이동법을 이용하여 물체의 무게 중심점을 찾아서 그 점에서 원형 패턴 알고리즘을 적용하면 외곽가지 거리 스펙트럼을 추출할 수 있다. 손에 대한 조건을 제시하여 일치하는 스펙트럼이 추출되면 손으로 인식하게 하였다. 커서의 방향제어는 크게 수평 방향과 수직 방향으로 나눌 수 있다. 커서의 수평 방향은 거리 스펙트럼에 의해 지시 손가락 부분을 찾아서 평면 좌표로 해석하여 제어 하였고, 커서의 수직 방향은 최대 원형의 크기와 손의 최대 크기를 입력 받아 퍼지 추론하여 커서의 위치를 제어 하였다. 퍼지 추론을 이용함으로써 기존의 불연속적인 커서의 수직 방향 제어를 좀 더 유연하고 연속적으로 제어 할 수 있었다.

  • A GPS/INS system is widely used in the UGV to estimate position during the mission. However, there are few restrictions when a GPS/INS system used alone. For example, GPS provides precise location information but easily interrupted by external factors like weather, environment, etc. INS provides continuous location data but positioning errors grew very rapidly with time. Therefore, it is necessary to integrating multi-sensors for more continuous and correct position estimation. In this paper, we propose location estimation algorithm of the UGV for GPS/INS integrated system that combines Fuzzy Inference and Unscented Particle Filter(UPF) to improve navigation. Fuzzy inference provides the simplest method integrating GPS/INS and UPF is non-linear estimation filter well suited to the correction of errors. The performance of the proposed algorithm was tested to compare with other algorithms. the results show that the proposed algorithm is more accuracy in position estimation and ensures continuous position tracking.

A Case Study on the Students' Covariational Reasoning in the Continuous Functional Situations (함수적 상황에 대한 초등학생들의 공변추론 사례연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of cognitive activity on cognitive activities that students imagine and cope with continuously changing quantitative changes in functional tasks represented by linguistic expressions, table of value, and geometric patterns, We identified covariational reasoning levels and investigated the characteristics of students' reasoning process according to the levels of covariational reasoning in the elementary quantitative problem situations. Participants were seven 4th grade elementary students using the questionnaires. The selected students were given study materials. We observed the students' activity sheets and conducted in-depth interviews. As a result of the study, the students' covariational reasoning level for two quantities that are continuously covaried was found to be five, and different reasoning process was shown in quantitative problem situations according to students' covariational reasoning levels. In particular, students with low covariational level had difficulty in grasping the two variables and solved the problem mainly by using the table of value, while the students with the level of chunky and smooth continuous covariation were different from those who considered the flow of time variables. Based on the results of the study, we suggested that various problems related with continuous covariation should be provided and the meanings of the tasks should be analyzed by the teachers.

  • 일반적으로 러프집합은 지식베이스 시스템에서 근사공간을 이용한 불확실한 데이터의 분류, 추론 및 의사결정 등에 사용된다. 지식베이스 시스템의 데이터 중에서 연속적인 구간 특성을 갖는 정량적 속성값이 불연속적일 때 중복 또는 불일치 등의 불확실성이 발생된다. 본 논문은 러프집합의 정량적 속성값들의 정성적 속성으로 변환시킬 때 식별 불가능 영역에 있는 정량적 속성값들을 명확한 경계를 갖는 보조구간으로 분리하여 불확실성을 제거함으로써 러프집합의 분류능력을 향상시키는 방법을 제안한다.

Middle School Students' Understanding and Development of Function Graphs (중학생들의 함수의 그래프에 대한 이해와 발달)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate middle school students' understanding and development of function graphs. We collected the data from the teaching experiment with two middle school students who had not yet received instruction on linear function in school. The students participated in a 15-day teaching experiment(Steffe, & Thompson, 2000). Each teaching episode lasted one or two hours. The students initially focused on numerical values rather than the overall relationship between the variables in functional situations. This study described meaning, role of and students' responses for the given tasks, which revealed the students' understanding and development of function graphs. Especially we analyzed students' responses based on their methods to solve the tasks, reasoning that derived from those methods, and their solutions. The results indicate that their continuous reasoning played a significant role in their understanding of function graphs.

  • 초거대 언어모델를 활용한 퓨샷(few shot) 학습법은 여러 자연어 처리 문제에서 좋은 성능을 보였다. 하지만 데이터를 활용한 추가 학습으로 문제를 추론하는 것이 아니라, 이산적인 공간에서 퓨샷 구성을 통해 문제를 정의하는 방식은 성능 향상에 한계가 존재한다. 이를 해결하기 위해 초거대 언어모델의 모수 전체가 아닌 일부를 추가 학습하거나 다른 신경망을 덧붙여 연속적인 공간에서 추론하는 P-tuning과 같은 데이터 기반 추가 학습 방법들이 등장하였다. 본 논문에서는 문맥에 따른 질의 정규화 문제를 대화형 음성 검색 서비스에 맞게 직접 정의하였고, 초거대 언어모델을 P-tuning으로 추가 학습한 경우 퓨샷 학습법 대비 정확도가 상승함을 보였다.
