실험계획법에 의한 화인세라믹스 원통래핑의 최적화에 관한 연구

  • 화인세라믹의 우수한 공학적 특성으로 인한 최근의 이용가치 증대와 더불어 세라믹의 고정도 가공에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 다이아몬드휠을 이용한 연삭이나 다이아몬드 공구를 이용한 선삭에 의해 세라믹의 고정도 표면생성을 실현시키고자 하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고는 있으나 아직 미흡한 상태에 있다. 따라서 전통적으로 고정도 표면생성에 널리 용되어 온 래핑에 의한 표면다듬질이 현재 행하여지고 있는 일반적인 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 화인세라믹의 고정도 표면생성을 위한 원통래핑 공정의 최적화 방법으로 실험계획법의 한 응용분야인 반응표면분석법을 이용하였으며 그 결과, 적은 재료와 시간으로 능률적이고 체계적인 실험 및 통계적인 분석을 통해서 원통세라믹의 고정도 표면생성을 위한 최적래핑조건을 찾아내었다.

  • 초미세 가공 및 치수안정성 향상을 위한 다이아몬드 마이크로 블레이드의 DLC 코팅이 연삭 과정에서 결합구조가 안정적으로 유지되는지 알아보기 위해 Cu/Sn 금속 결합재에 $MoS_2$ 고체 윤활제를 첨가한 후 PAPVD법으로 DLC 박막을 블레이드의 측면에 증착하였다. 실착 절삭 시험을 위해 마이크로 블레이드 시편을 제조하여 충분한 드레싱 과정 후 절삭 시험을 행하였으며 라만 분광법을 통해 절삭 전후 DLC 코팅에 존재하는 $sp^2$, $sp^3$ 결합의 분율을 조사하고 그 결과를 토대로 DLC 코팅의 특성의 변화를 분석하였다. DLC 코팅에 존재하는 D밴드와 G밴드의 비인 ID/IG는 절삭 후 증가하는 경향을 보였으며 결과적으로 절삭 과정 중 흑연화가 진행되었음을 확인하였다.

Effect of Mixing Process on the Wear Properties of UHMWPE/Kaolin Composite (입자충전 초고분자량 폴리에틸렌의 마모특성 : 입자충전 방법의 효과)

  • In this study the wear behavior of ultra high molecular polyethylene (UHMWPE) filled with kaolin particles by different methods was investigated. UHMWPE/kaolin composites were prepared by two different methods: polymerization-filling and powder mixing. Particularly in a powder mixing method. Particle dispersion and wear property according to powder mining method were examined. It was found from wear test that filling of inorganic filler into UHMWPE by polymerization filling was more effective way than by powder mixing method in improving Wear resistance of UHMWPE. It was also confirmed that abrasive wear was dominant wear mechanism and particle dispersion in the composite as well as interface property was an important factor in controlling the wear behavior of the resulting composites.

  • The power tools is the product using working power generated by electric motor. Many companies are manufacturing numerous devices. Main features of tools are included various assembled products, small, light and solid and durable enough to match several standards. Fundamental requirements for the product is excellent performance and convenience for use. The quality of them depends on the equipped motor'(s) capability, accuracy of gear and endurance against worn-out. By adapting the state-of-the-art parts, they could be used in the place from home to heavy industry broadly. They can be classified electronic drills, grinders, saws and sanders families for the household appliances. For industrial tools, bore drill, grinder, polisher, and driver drill are classified as special and high priced group. This study presents the strategy of power tool development of BOSCH, BLACK&DECKER and KEYANG. Their products were analyzed in terms of product line and product mix concept. Then they are examined by design elements, such as color, shape and material for housing. As an analysis method, the image scale parameter and criteria were applied to each company's product.

Wear Characteristics of Cylinder-Liner Materials for Diesel Engine at Elevated Temperature (디젤엔진용 실린더 라이너 소재의 고온 마모특성)

  • In a diesel engine, the wear of the cylinder liner occurs because of the continuous reciprocating motion of the piston ring. This wear reduces the performance of the diesel engine and shortens its service life. This study evaluated the wear characteristics of GT metal and a conventional metal used for cylinder liners using a ship's diesel engine. Wear tests were performed at temperatures of $25^{\circ}C$, $175^{\circ}C$, and $325^{\circ}C$, and under loads of 10 N, 30 N, and 50 N. The amount of wear, specific wear rate, and friction coefficient were evaluated for each condition. To analyze the wear mechanism, observations were made on an SEM. In the case of both metals, abrasive and adhesion wear occurred on the wear surfaces at room temperature, and corrosion wear was observed at high temperatures. The amount of wear and the specific wear rate of the GT metal were lower than those of the conventional metal at all temperatures, and hence it can be concluded that the wear characteristics of the GT metal are much better.

Wear Properties of Hybrid Metal Matrix Composites (하이브리드 금속복합재료의 마모특성)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the wear properties of Saffil/Al, Saffil/A12O3/Al and Saffil/SiC/Al hybrid metal matrix composites fabricated by squeeze casting method. Wear tests were done on a pin-on-disk friction and wear tester under both dry and lubricated conditions. The wear properties of the three composites were evaluated in many respects. The effects of Saffil fibers, $\textrm{Al}_2\textrm{O}_3$ particles and SiC particles on the wear behavior of the composites were investigated. Wear mechanisms were analyzed by observing the worn surfaces of the composites. The variation of coefficient of friction(COF) during the wear process was recorded by using a computer. Under dry sliding condition, Saffil/SiC/Al showed the best wear resistance under high temperature and high load, while the wear resistances of Saffil/Al and Saffi1/$\textrm{Al}_2\textrm{O}_3$/Al were very similar. Under dry sliding condition, the dominant wear mechanism was abrasive wear under mild load and room temperature, and the dominant wear mechanism changed to adhesive wear as load or temperature increased. Molten wear occurred at high temperature. Compared with the dry sliding condition, all three composites showed excellent wear resistance when lubricated by liquid paraffin. Under lubricated condition, Saffil/Al showed the best wear resistance among them, and its COF value was the smallest. The dominant wear mechanism of the composites under lubricated condition was microploughing, but microcracking also occurred to them to different extents.

  • In recently, the demand of cover-glass is increased because smart phone, tablet pc, and electrical device has become widely used. The display of mobile device is enlarged, so it is necessary to have a high strength against the external force such as contact or falling. In fabrication process of cover-glass, a grinding process is very important process to obtain high strength of glass. Conventional grinding process using a grinding wheel is caused such as a scratch, chipping, notch, and micro-crack on a surface. In this paper, polishing system using a abrasive film was developed for a grinding of mobile cover-glass. To evaluate structural stability of the designed system, finite element model of the polishing system is generated, and multi-body dynamic analysis of abrasive film polishing machine is proposed. As a result of the analysis, stress and displacement analysis of abrasive film polishing system are performed, and using laser displacement sensor, structural stability of abrasive film polishing system is confirmed by measuring displacement.

Evaluation of 12nm Ti Layer for Low Temperature Cu-Cu Bonding (저온 Cu-Cu본딩을 위한 12nm 티타늄 박막 특성 분석)

  • Miniaturization of semiconductor devices has recently faced a physical limitation. To overcome this, 3D packaging in which semiconductor devices are vertically stacked has been actively developed. 3D packaging requires three unit processes of TSV, wafer grinding, and bonding, and among these, copper bonding is becoming very important for high performance and fine-pitch in 3D packaging. In this study, the effects of Ti nanolayer on the antioxidation of copper surface and low-temperature Cu bonding was investigated. The diffusion rate of Ti into Cu is faster than Cu into Ti in the temperature ranging from room temperature to 200℃, which shows that the titanium nanolayer can be effective for low-temperature copper bonding. The 12nm-thick titanium layer was uniformly deposited on the copper surface, and the surface roughness (Rq) was lowered from 4.1 nm to 3.2 nm. Cu bonding using Ti nanolayer was carried out at 200℃ for 1 hour, and then annealing at the same temperature and time. The average shear strength measured after bonding was 13.2 MPa.
