This study explores the causes of online helping behavior. This study tests the effects of various explanatory factors on the basis of previous studies on helping behavior. These factors include social demographic, situational, motivational, and social capital factors. According to the survey of 475 university students living in Seoul in 2010, age and religion have significant effects on online helping behavior. In addition, the perceived helping opportunity, time and effort cost to help, and social capital factor have significant effects on online helping behavior. Results reveal that the effect of social capital factor is the largest among other variables. However, it is shown that the effects of benefit from helping, empathy, and personal norm are not statistically significant. It is also revealed that the effect of social capital factor is important across all types of online helping behavior except information helping. The policy implications are discussed.
When a human being grew older, followed by visually and perceptually impaired, and dementia, it jeopardizes safety and life unless supportive design is secured for a living environment. This supportive space is based on universal design concept which offers safe-oriented, and simple use by incorporating gender and physical/mental limitation. The study of purppose was to examine the appropriateness of barrier-free standard for seniors' living in apartment through IPA. Chi-square analysis found that satisfaction with BF space is lowered as aging is continued and for female group. Regression analysis indicated that sink was the prime predictor in satisfaction, and stair/elevator was the most important variable. IPA concluded that sink, bath, shower/locker and alert/egress were prime BF indexes to be improved among 14 elements, implying careful design in sanitation area for seniors.
How do Korean people recognize major welfare policies of the Moon Jae-in government? Using a survey of 1,000 adults conducted in December 2018, this study examines what the public thinks about major issues related to welfare policies and what factors are related to variations in their opinions regarding the welfare policies. Results show that the public recognized the roles of government in providing welfare in a positive way. The positive opinion on expanding the coverage of National Health Insurance was the highest. Regarding the resolutions of fiscal problems of the National Pension Plan, there were substantial oppositions to reforms such as insurance premium increase, benefits cut, and increase in the age of receipt of pension benefits. Both efficiency and equality were perceived as important when government makes decision for allocating budgets. Only one-third of respondents agreed Korean government contributed to promoting the happiness of Korean people. Based on these findings, implications for developing welfare policies were discussed.

This study was conducted to analyze research behaviors of bibliotherapy studies in order to improve the level of bibliotherapy study in the LIS. 130 articles of journals were divided into five major fields, and analyzed using major areas, research subjects, research methods, affiliation of authors, and participants. The results showed that bibliotherapy studies in LIS have been conducted rather broadly by the practitioners ever since the 2010s. However, diversification of research topics, research methods, and theoretical foundations are found to be problems that need to be solved. Based on the statistics, suggestions are made: to expand the target of bibliotherapy to various ages, classes, experience groups, and situation groups; to combine reading books with further activities such as discussion, role-play, and play therapy; to take advantage of a variety of diagnostic test tools and to utilize clinical treatments; to conduct qualitative and quantitative research simultaneously in order to achieve the benefits.

We analyzed state of cancer screening utilization according to general characteristics, life style, health status, income level using descriptive statistics. This aims is to estimate the consumers' preference on the brand rice using factor analysis, completed research on the consumption of brand rice revealed that the household supply in the Seoul area is increasing. An analysis whether housewives' preference in chosing the brand of rice was developed through the consumption experience and re-purchase intention investigation for the brand rice. Also the paper analyzed the consumers' preference using the logit and probit model. Number of respondents who participated in the study(95 %) totaled 1000 and the sampling method utilized was the multistage stratification and assignment abstraction. Results showed that the preference of housewives' depends on age, education and level of income. Such that as age, education, income level increase so thus their preference for brand rices also increase. Also the re-purchasing of brand rice is high when housewives have a higher educational attainment and prefers to go to work. Conclusively, the long-term sale view for brand rice is closely related to the economic conditions of a household. Hence, with the economic growth, there is a possibility that consumption of brand rice would increase compared to the ordinary rice. We can propose the following political intent from analysis of these results. First, There is a need for continuous public information as reinforcement for brand rice. Second, Marketing operation reinforcement could also be done for customer class security etc.
