  • 차세대 이동통신망(IMT-2000 : International Mobile Telecommunication-2000)에서는 기존 통신망에서 제공하는 기능을 그대로 제공하면서 여러 향상된 기능을 제공하는 형태로 개발되고 있으며 기존 망 구조를 적절히 수용하면서 현재 제공하고 있는 음성 서비스를 수용할 수 있는 경제적이고 효율적인 통신망의 구축이 필요하다. 그러므로 음성과 데이터의 통합 및 서비스의 확장성과 포괄성으로 인하여 미래의 각광받는 서비스로 예상되는 IP망에서의 음성 서비스와 차세대 이동통신망과의 연동 게이트웨이 개발은 필수적이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 차세대 이동통신망 환경에서 기존 망 구조를 적절히 수용해 줄 수 있으면서 음성 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 차세대 이동통신망의 CC(Call Control)와 IP 망의 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)를 이용한 연동 프로토콜을 설계 및 검증하고, 이를 구현하였다.

  • 최근 네트워크가 실시간, 멀티미디어, 멀티캐스팅의 지원을 필요로 함에 따라 인터넷 QoS에 대한 요구 사항이 증대되고 있다. 최선형의 전달 서비스로는 이러한 응용을 지원할 수 없기 때문에 QoS 증대를 위한 IntServ(Integrated Service) 구조가 제안되었고, 또한 IntServ의 확장성 문제에 따른 DiffServ(Differentiated Service) 구조가 제안되었지만 존재하는 네트워크 환경에서 QoS 기준을 만족하기에는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 따른 인터넷 QoS 보장을 위한 구조로 DiffServ 구조와 IntServ 구조를 연동하는 방안에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IntServ의 한계에 따른 DiffServ의 출현 배경 및IntServ와 DiffServ의 차이점을 살펴보고, 현실 가능한 DiffServ망에서의 QoS 향상을 위한 효율적인 자원예약 메커니즘을 소개하고, DiffServ와 IntServ의 연동 방안에 관한 문제점과 해결방안을 모색하고, 향후 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

  • We introduce the coordination among the intrusion detection agents by BBA(BlackBoard Architecture) that belongs to the field of distributed artificial intelligence. The system which uses BBA for the coordination can be easily expanded by adding new agents and increasing the number of BB(BlackBoard) levels. Several simulation tests performed on the targer network will illustrate our techniques. And this paper applies PBN(Policy-Based Network) to reduce the false positives that is one of the main problems of IDS. The performance obtained from the coordination of intrusion detection agent with PBN is compared against the corresponding non PBN type intrusion detection agent. The application of the research results lies in the experimentation of the various security policies according to the network types in selecting the best security policy that is most suitable for a given network.

  • 본 논문에서는 MLT 멀티미디어 프레임워크를 이용하여 홍보동영상을 자동 합성하는 웹 기반 서비스 프레임워크 상에서의 연동 인터페이스를 개발한다. 소상공인 홍보영상 제작시스템은 일반 소상공인들의 업종 정보와 잠재고객 특성정보를 기반으로 사진이나 동영상을 입력하면 관련된 홍보동영상을 자동으로 출력하는 시스템이다. 인지도가 높고 기능이 다양한 상용 소프트웨어들이 다수 존재하지만 소상공인들이 쉽고 저렴하게 사용할 수 있는 시스템 구성을 위해 본 논문에서는 공개소스 프로젝트인 MLT 멀티미디어 프레임워크를 사용한다. LGPL에 따라 개발 중인 MLT는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠들을 쉽게 조합하고 표시하는 필수 기능들을 제공하며 플러그인 구조를 채용하여 신규기능 탑재 및 효과추가도 가능하다. 하지만 MLT는 영상생성에 필요한 저수준 기능들을 주로 제공하므로 상위 계층에서 입력된 정보를 반영하여 홍보영상을 만드는 시스템 구성을 위해서는 상위 모듈들과의 연동 인터페이스의 설계 및 구현이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 홍보전략 및 홍보의도와 같은 상위수준의 정보를 고려하여 MLT로 동영상을 실제 합성할 수 있도록 하는 계층화된 연동 구조를 제안한다.

  • The interworking for voice service between next generation mobile network and traditional network can be deployed better flexible and expansible network conditions with providing efficiency and economy of network at the same time. So it is essential to develop the interworking strategies together with a evolved network and traditional network. This paper describes a design and verification of internetworking protocol for CC of next generation mobile network and SIP of IP network for applying interworking technology to next generation mobile network, which can harmoniously expropraise voice service from traditional network.

  • Distributed systems present new system architecture for solving interoperability problem in heterogeneous system. This paper presents CORBA Inter-ORB protocol model based on shared memory to support communication software through analysis of existing CORBA IIOP protocol performance and Inter-Process Communication techniques. In the same host environment, proposed model applied standard CORBA mechanism to minimize message transfer overhead can develop software independently to hardware architecture of target communication system. This communication software that has flexibility and extensibility can improve productivity, duality and reusability of software.

  • This paper presents a study regarding a systemic structure that forms a link between heterogeneous terminals and the WebRTC (Web real-time communication) based video-conferencing systems. This system consists of a WebRTC-based terminal, a signal server for the relaying of the necessary signals for media negotiations, an MCU provides an interworking interface for the heterogeneous terminal, and the heterogeneous terminals that interwork with the MCU. This technology enables the interoperability between the WebRTC-based video-conferencing solutions and the legacy devices. In addition to reducing the replacement costs regarding new-technology-based solutions, the existing legacy equipment enables the use of multiparty-conference, thereby increasing the use ability of the conferencing systems.

  • The property of connectivity between DBMS and application system developed in java is very important under the distributed object environments with heterogeneous systems. In these days, mostly used JDBC 3-tier model, which supports the connectivity, has two problems: the one is the restricted connectivity needed for the Java applet as application programs and the other is the additional efforts to design and implemtnt in linking any application program with the middleware from being deficit of standard protocol. In order to solve these problems, we have worked on Enlarging the properties of JDBC 3 tier model by applying CORBA distributed object environments. Thus, the enlarged 3-tier model has an ORB-JDBC sub protocol for the client sub-protocol and a middleware whose property is supported by CORBA.

  • We propose an interworking architecture between a smart TV and a smart phone. This architecture provides control mechanism for the newly adopted App on Smart-TV with smart phone. The general method connecting between a smart phone and a mobile AP is very carefully complex and troublesome procedure. The mobile AP transfers data from a smart phone to a smart TV after getting the connection. Connecting procedure between a smart phone and a mobile AP is therefore necessary operation. We worked out the new procedure and control method that acquires some information from Near Field Communication or Quick Reference codes for connecting between a smart TV and a smart phone. Our proposed architecture was confirmed practical possibility as user-oriented automatic connection and simple manipulation for control a kiosk or various display equipment.

  • Although there exist many middlewares such as Havi, Jini, LonWorks, UPnP, and SLP, new middlewares specialized for diverse information appliances are expected to appear continuously as home networks evolve. In this paper, we examine an integrated architecture for supporting interoperability among heterogeneous middlewares under home network, we also propose and implement a scenario-based user-oriented integrated architecture for efficient home automation which is different from existing methods. HOMI(Homenetwork Middleware for Interoperability) architecture proposed in this paper provides interfaces that assist users with designing and modifying desirable scenarios using a script interpreter language HOMIL(HOMI Language). Different from an existing integrated middleware architecture, HOMI improves efficiency and convenience of interoperation between heterogeneous appliances for home automation allowing users to design and organize scenarios through these interfaces. HOMI classifies interoperation services into time contort, synchronization context, and asynchronization context and helps to execute next services considering contexts when a specific event occurs. Applying modified scenarios immediately to home network environment, HOMI provides users with seamless services without installing new applications, updating the server, or rebooting in order to adopt new scenarios. Lastly, distribution agents into several devices, we solved the overhead problem occurred in a centralized architecture for integrated middleware.
