  • This paper is a research on the curriculums of network and digital creation tools among SW education in order to apply them to SW curriculum in education fields. For doing so, a curriculum model was developed by extracting main key words through the analyses of domestic and foreign SW curriculum, and reorganization of concept understanding and learning activity elements was made so as to be fit to characteristics of each curriculum. And curriculums were remodeled by curriculum such like concept understanding was focussed in network, activities in digital creation tools and its validity was suggested through expert verification by composing contents elements based on the results. Also, this model was proposed so that each school could recompose it easily by combining contents elements of other curriculums. Therefore, the suggested model could be utilized as a basic research data in applying domestic SW curriculum standard model.

  • This study aimed to explore the factors explaining the safety of disabled women in the convergence society and was surveyed 374 disabled women nationwide. This study examined the factors that explain the safety of disabled women from the accidents and crimes in terms of individual, familial, and community characteristics. Main findings are as follows: 1) the safety from accident was largely explained by the community type and social capital condition in characteristics of community domain. The material hardship in characteristics of familial domain and disability level in characteristics of individual domain explained the safety from accident also. 2) the safety from crime was largely explained by the material hardship in characteristics of familial domain. And the community type and social support condition in characteristics of community domain and the educational level in characteristics of individual domain explained the safety from crime. Based on the findings, we suggested practical and institutional implications to ensure the disabled women's safety.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze of the science examination of middle school 7th grade by Klopfer's taxonomy of educational objectives. A total of 645 test items from 10 middle schools were analyzed for this study. The examination items were analyzed according to the objectives of science education, such as behavior and contents area, question types, and the degree of difficulty. It was shown that, when the distribution of behavioral objectives was considered, the items emphasized knowledge and comprehension, and were scientific knowledge oriented. The tests consisted of multiple choice questions at a relatively high rate, compared to short answer questions. Comparing the rate of teachers' expectations to the degree of difficulty, the ratio of "top" was low and that of "medium" was high. The results of this study suggested that using various types of question and multiple levels of content and behavior enabled more effective evaluation of the diverse thinking powers and learning of the students.

  • This study aims to introduce a basic principle to improve the incident detection algorithm using traffic flow diagrams that can classify traffic states with a high reliability on the basis of the analysis of traffic flow characteristics under the recurrent or incident congestions. It is tried to newly classify the traffic states with the speed-flow and speed-occupancy diagrams. This is because McMaster algorithm has a tendancy on not identifying the traffic states exactly using the flow-occupancy diagram. In this study it shows that the classification of traffic states is applicable to use speed-occupancy relationship Therefore, it is necessary to determine some parameters to correctly classify the areas representing the traffic states and it may be possible to develop a new algorithm to detect the incident with a high reliability.

  • Recently, as the project becomes larger and the number of project increases by the information system integration in the public and financial sectors, it is necessary to have a proper plan to manage the information system project. There have been many researches about the project management, success elements and failure elements, but the research on the interrelation between project management areas leaves much to be desired. This research deduces the scope, schedule, quality, work force and risk as the project management areas from the preceding research and the questionnaire and interview with PM developers, information system builders and data processing experts. And, it analyzes the interrelation and the relative importance between management areas, classifies the progress of the management areas under plan, implementation and completion stage and presents the frame to evaluate the accomplishment of each progress.

  • The objective of this research was to analyze curriculum of dental hygiene education program for B.S degree in US and compare with Korea and Japan. The curriculum was classified six domain based on job classification and National Board Examination in Korea. Oral biology content included oral anatomy, dental anatomy, oral histology, oral pathology. Oral physiology was excluded. Clinical dentistry content included only oral radiology, periodontics, dental material, pain control. Most program integrated clinical dental hygiene courses. Most program provided dental practice management content and dental hygiene research courses. Diverse program such as A.S degree,B.S degree, degree completion, distance education programs enabled students to develop their career effectively.

  • This study investigates science teachers' perceptions of science practices for science assessment. Science practices have information about students' ability to understand scientific knowledge and to perform scientific inquiry. For this study, seven science teachers, who have served for more than five years in secondary schools in Seoul, were chosen. A structured questionnaire consisting of twenty-seven items were used in National Assessment of Educational Achievement. And then, in-depth interviews followed. Co-workers analyzed and discussed the questionnaire and interviews. As results show, science teachers tend to determine science practices based on materials and way to present materials included in questions. Science teachers tend to recognize science practice as different, depending on information and thinking process, which is expected in solving them. In addition, they have a variety of the level of definition and understanding about science practices.

  • In this research, in order to obtain teaching/learning implications for effective use of questions when teaching number and operation area, the types of questions presented in chapters of number and operation area of 2015 revised elementary math textbooks and the function of questions were compared and analyzed by grade cluster. As a result of this research, the types of questions presented in chapters of number and operation area showed a high percentage of occurrences in the order of reasoning questions, factual questions, and open questions not calling for reasoning in common by grade cluster. And reasoning questions were predominant in all grade clusters. In addition, in all grade clasters, the proportion of questions acting as a function to help guess, invention, and solving problems and questions acting as a function to help mathematical reasoning were relatively high. As such, it can be inferred that the types and functions of the questions presented in chapters of number and operation area are related to the characteristics of the learning content by grade cluster. This research will be able to contribute to the preparation of advanced teaching/learning plans by providing reference materials in the questions when teaching number and operation area.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the causality between life satisfaction and domain satisfactions. For this study, data were collected from 207 respondents. They completed World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment Instrument - Brief (WHOQOL-BREF) which is self-report questionnaire asking about life satisfaction and domain satisfactions. For data analysis, the verification procedure by autoregressive crosslagged modeling of structural equation was used. The analysis results of measures showed the causal relation between the two variables, that is, domain satisfactions acted as cause of life satisfaction. There were discussions on the issues about the analysis method of the autoregressive crosslagged modeling, the implications of the results, and the limits of the research. This study ascertained the intervention direction between life satisfaction and domain satisfactions to promote life satisfaction.

  • This study investigates aspects of the zone of proximal development (ZPD), the distance between the actual development and the potential development. Out of 18 university students taking a geometry course, two students with the same actual developmental level in the van Hiele model in the pre-test and post-test were interviewed for measuring their potential developmental level. Based on the communicational approach to cognition, the characteristics of the two interviewees' discourse on 3D reflective symmetry were identified. There were considerable differences between the two interviewees in terms of their potential developmental level. Methodological implications for how to investigate students' ZPD in mathematics education research were addressed.
