The Fourth Sector has been attracting attention as a means to solve the various problems plaguing modern society; it emerged to overcome the Third Sector's issues such as excessive reliance on the government and service model isomorphism, represented by social economy enterprises (Meadows, 1972; Howaldt & Schwarz, 2010). Social venture companies have been mentioned as key agents of the Fourth Sector (Gyeonggi Research Institute, 2018). However, the academic and policy concepts related to social ventures continue to be vague. Therefore, this study aims to clarify the concept of social ventures as part of the Fourth Sector, and research development strategies for the vitalization of the social venture ecosystem in an effort to encourage inclusive growth of society. To achieve these goals, it establishes the concept of social ventures differentiated from the Third Sector, based on previous studies, and presents the importance of an intermediate support organization for the ecosystem's vitalization. Furthermore, to propose strategies for said vitalization, the study derives detailed forms of social venture intermediate support organizations, and provides suggestions regarding their importance and roles through social innovation levels.

This review has dealt with definition, size, history, and status of mesocosm, and also discussed several problems and trouble shootings related to the building of mesocosm, and finally will suggest the future directions of this scientific tool. Due to the restriction of the space, the discussion mainly focused on "the mesocosm building for the soft-bottom ecosystem". The mesocosm is defined as "medium-sized, self-sustaining, and man-controllable ecosystem". This type of studies has already initiated since 1960, but nowadays it expands to the diverse fields of science and technologies, such as toxicology, limnology, environmental sciences and engineering, and even geochemistry. As a scientific tool, the mesocosm requires following aspects; replicability, repeatability, and ecological realism or accuracy. Several technical problems have to be solved for the perfect building of mesocosm. They are known as scaling, composition of seawater/sediment, light intensity, turbulence, hydraulic residence time, and top predator. These trouble shootings are provided at the discussion in detail. In the context, I expect two promising directions in the future; 1. Objectivity based on the diverse statistical methodologies, 2. "Living ecosystem modelling" coordinated with the mathematical modelling. With these, the mesocosm will be more powerful tool for the scientists and engineers to investigate the chemical and the ecological responses to the toxic materials and global climate changes.

Recent global warming seems to be dramatic and has influenced forest ecosystems. Changes in phonology of biota, species distribution range shift and catastrophic climatic disasters due to recent global warming have been observed during the last century. Korean forests located mainly in the temperate zone also have been experienced climatic change impacts including shifting of leafing and flowering phonology, changes in natural disasters and forest productivity, However, little research has been conducted on the impact of climate change on forest ecosystems in Korea which is essential to assess the impact and extent of adaptation. Also there is a shortage in basic long-term data of forest ecosystem processes. Careful data collection and ecological process modeling should be focused on characteristic Korean forest ecosystems which are largely complex terrain that might have hindered research activities. An integrative ecosystem study which covers forest dynamics, biological diversity, water and carbon flux and cycles in a forest ecosystem and spatial and temporal dynamics modeling is introduced. Global warming effects on Korean forest ecosystems are reviewed. Forestry activity and the importance of forest ecosystems as a dynamic carbon reservoir are discussed. Forest management options and challenges for future research, impact assessment, and preparation of mitigating measures in Korea are proposed.

Carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) gases concentration in atmosphere has been growing since preindustrial times. By sequestering a large amount of atmospheric carbon (C), terrestrial ecosystems are thought to offer a mitigation strategy for reducing global warming. Woody agro-ecosystems such as fruit tree are among the least quantified and most uncertain elements in the terrestrial carbon cycle. $CO_2$ and energy fluxes were measured by the eddy covariance method on a 15-year old apple orchard of South Korea in 2006. Environmental parameters (net radiation, precipitation, etc.) were measured along with fluxes. The results showed that during late June, the ability to sequestrate C was significant at an apple orchard ecosystem and it reached on the peak of $-6.5g\;C\;m^{-2}\;d^{-1}$. We found that in the apple orchard, the daily average of net ecosystem exchange of $CO_2$ (NEE) and cumulative NEE on a yearly basis were $-1.1g\;C\;m^{-2}$ and $-396.9g\;C\;m^{-2}$, respectively. These results reveal that there is high carbon sequestration in the apple orchard of South Korea, which is the same magnitude with repect to that of a natural forested ecosystem of the same biome rank (temperate-humid deciduous forest).
The most presentative case would be functional evolution of webtoon as a contents business model, which has taken a initiating role in both innovated strategic experiments and outcomes. Most of all, There are the launch of PPS(Page Profit Sharing) sevice in NAVER webtoon, the paid service model implementation in KAKAOpage and potential business as an exclusive application in Lezhin entertainment This study to analyze these phenomina and results can figure out how the business model in the webtoon platform is developed in various fields diversely and what makes this model evolved and extended. Especially, the diversification of the webtoon platform has been received attention since it pursued the grouped spin off through horizontal convergence and transformational expansion among similar platforms, and also this shows that which factors enhance these phenomina to be controled and expanded. On the basis of the result of this study, we try to find the way to connect business vision of the domestic webtoon platform with affiliated business. Furthermore, it proposes the interrelationship between this and the business strategy for overseas in the globalized platform.
More than half of all the tidal flats and islands in South Korea are located in Jeonnam. Shinangun accounts for a large amount of these tidal flats and island. This study assessed the value of ecosystem services for 14 administrative units (2 'eup' and 12 'myeon') that have around 1,000 islands in Shinangun, using the method described by Costanza et al. (1997). The assessment involved examining the land use types in Shinangun in relation to ecosystem services value. The finding showed that the tidal flat areas had the highest value of ecosystem services in most of the islands of Shinangun, in particular in Aphae-eup and Jido-eup. The study illustrates how quantitative analysis of land use patterns can help local governments like Shinangun to formulate policy for conservation and sustainaable use of ecosystem services. Especially, tidal flat areas are unique and fragile ecosystem, so it is very importat to make strategies for sustainable development in bioculturally diverse areas. Some suggestions regarding landscape planning in Shinangun are provided.
This study aimed to evaluate the ecosystem services and environmental sustainability index(ESI) of the Hasidong-Anin coastal sand dune ecological and landscapes conservation area using rapid assessment tools. As a result, the analysis of the environmental sustainability index, derived from the evaluation of ecosystem services in the Hasidong-Anin coastal sand dune ecological and landscapes conservation area, revealed that regulating services, cultural services, and supporting services were all rated below 50%. Especially, cultural and supporting services were identified as lacking. With these results, a SWOT analysis was conducted to develop strategies for enhancing ecosystem services in the Hasidong-Anin coastal sand dune ecological and landscapes conservation area. Six approaches were formulated, involving leveraging strengths as opportunities (SO strategy), minimizing threats using strengths (ST strategy), utilizing opportunities to address weaknesses (WO strategy), and mitigating weaknesses and threats (WT strategy). In the future, when promoting projects to enhance ecosystem services in the Hasidong-Anin coastal sand dune ecological and landscapes conservation area, it will be essential to address issues such as the restoration of currently damaged areas and prevention of future erosion-related damages. This will lead to an elevation of the value of the Hasidong-Anin coastal sand dune ecological and landscape conservation area.

The marine ecosystem survey investigates and analyzes multi-parameters at various times from various sites. Therefore, it is very difficult to analyze the complex ecological data of multi-items effectively, and it is more difficult to identify the current status and diagnose the problems of ecosystem through data analysis. Therefore, this paper aims to provide an example of interpretation of complex ecological data through analysis of distribution characteristics and outliers of ecological survey data. The main contents of the study are to elucidate the background levels of coastal ecosystem parameters considering the distribution characteristics of data, and to establish ecosystem monitoring indicators and an adaptive management system for the coastal waters in Korean Peninsula. The data used in this paper are based on the coastal ecosystem survey of the National Marine Ecosystem Monitoring Program conducted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) and the Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation (KOEM), and the major citations are from year 2015 to 2017. This article is a preliminary study to establish the above processes and the final result will be derived in 2020 when the coastal ecosystem survey is completed three times along the Korean coast.
The Korean Smartphone industry has advanced rapidly. There seems to have a considerable change in Korea smartphone industry as the security policy related to wireless devices is changed from Whitelist Policy to Blacklist Policy. In regard to such a change, this paper analyzes the smartphone market in terms of the Business Ecosystem Model suggested by Moore. This study examines how Korean Smartphone Ecosystem has been formed and how any shifts in policy will have an effect on the ecosystem. In line with this policy shift, this study also suggests the ways how these ecosystem members should establish a strategy for the continuous development of this smartphone ecosystem. Furthermore, this study presents cooperation directions among ecosystem members based on the organic connections in the ecosystem as well as each individual's corresponding measures. In addition, based on this analysis, this study puts forward Korean smartphone ecosystem's current problems, improvement, and its future.

Not only services that are provided by a single system have been various with the development of the Internet of Things and autonomous software but also new services that are not possible before are provided through collaboration between systems. The collaboration between autonomous systems is similar to the ecosystem configuration in terms of biological viewpoints. Thus, it is called the IT Ecosystem, and this concept has arisen newly in recent years. The IT Ecosystem refers to a concept that achieves a mission of each of a number of heterogeneous systems rather than a single system utilizing their own autonomy as well as achieving the objectives of the overall system simultaneously in order to meet a single common goal. In our previous study, we proposed architecture of elementary level and as well as basic several meta-models to implement the IT Ecosystem. This paper proposes comprehensive reference architecture framework to implement the IT Ecosystem by cleansing the previous study. Among them, a utility function based on cost-benefit model is proposed to solve the dynamic re-configuration problem of system components. Furthermore, a measure of using genetic algorithm is proposed as a solution to reduce the dynamic re-configuration overhead that is increased exponentially according to the expansion of the number of entities of components in the IT Ecosystem. Finally, the utilization of the proposed orchestration framework is verified quantitatively through probable case studies on IT Ecosystem for unmanned forestry management.
