This study is designed to analyze the status of R&D investment and managerial performance related to the domestic manufacturing. To accomplish the purpose of the study, We have regression analyzed 6,054 companies based on the data of 'Business Activity Survey' disclosed by Statistics Korea. Result of the study are as follows. First, electronics, IT, and auto industry account for 25.6% of the country's manufacturing companies and take up 75.8% of the total R&D funding for the manufacturing industry. Second, R&D funding exercises positive influence on sales and the number of registered patents, which last exerts positive influence on sales.

Korea has increased R&D investment continuously for the improvement of global technological competencies. Korea ranked first in the world with 4.15 percent in the ratio of R&D investment to GDP. In particular, the private sector occupies a crucial position of technological innovations in Korea, constituting 78.5% of total R&D investment. However, quantitative growth strategy is no longer effective, so efforts to enhance efficiency by upgrading qualitative level are badly needed. This paper studied methods for improving firms' business performance. For this, it tried to empirically verify technology strategy and technology planning capability's influence factors on the improvement of business performance. The study showed that technology strategy and technology planning activities have positive effects on the improvement of business performance. And it was revealed that coordination flexibility contributes to the enhancement of business performance by positively controlling technology planning activities. The study performed sample survey on the companies with R&D centers and multiple regression analysis and quantile regression were used for the analysis.

When a system or service is realized, it needs to be verified by requirements. The process of verification is to check whether customers/stakeholders requirements have been property transformed into a system or service. A set of verification processes is described in the international or industrial standards. However, it is not appropriate to directly apply those verification processes in the national research and development projects. In particular, we noticed the problem in the development of safety systems, standards and process in the railway systems domain. As such, this paper is concerned with a detailed development of the verification process in that domain. Specifically, an effective and efficient verification process is presented regarding the safety systems and process, safety standards, and safety documents. Also, the verification process was modeled by a computer-aided systems engineering tool, Cradle(R). As a result, the outcomes of the verification process on be managed efficiently.

Supply chain integration is the degree to which a firm strategically collaborates with its supply chain partners. We study the relationship between supply chain integration and corporate performance and the role of information sharing between them. When the information sharing is used as a mediating factor between supply chain integration and performance, supply chain integration should be focused to enhance the performance because of their causal relationship among them. On the contrary, when the information sharing is used as a moderating factor, situational approach to improve performance is needed. This study collected 199 questionnaires from the manufacturing companies and used Amos 21 to analyze the measurement model and structural model. The study found that supply chain integration positively influences corporate performance and information sharing acts as a mediating variable between supply chain integration and corporate performance. Therefore the firm should pay additional attention on supply chain integration to improve the corporate performance.

대기 연구자들은 대기오염의 일반적인 현황과 대기오염 유발의 근본 원인 파악, 저감 대책 등에 대한 연구를 활발히 수행하고 있다 하지만 이러한 연구들 중에서 대기오염의 근본 원인을 파악하기 위한 오염원 (Source) 추정 연구는 국내외적으로 매우 미진하다. 대기질의 평가와 예측은 분산모델과 수용방법론을 이용하는데, 분산모델에 내재되어 있는 한계성과 제약점 때문에 수용체에서 오염물질의 특성을 분석한 후, 오염원의 기여도를 평가하는 수용방법론이 지속적으로 개발되고 있다. (중략)

화인세라믹스는 다양한 전자기적, 광학적 및 생물화학적 특성을 가진 기능재료와 기존 재료의 성능 한계를 초월하는 내열성, 내식성 및 내마모성을 가진 구조재료 이외에도 최근에는 초전도 재료가 추가됨으로서 '90년대 우주항공산업의 필수소재가 되어 있다. 기초기술분야의 연구는 정부의 주도하에 대형화하여 대학 및 전문 연구기관을 중심으로 범국가적인 차원에서 장기적 으로 추진해야 할 것이며 산업계의 연구개발은 응용 및 용도개발에 초점을 맞추어 수요자측인 기계 및 전자분야 조립업체와 소재공급자측인 요업, 금속 등의 전문업체가 긴밀한 협동체제를 구축하여 공동개발함으로서 단기간에 높은 성과를 거둘 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.

대학은 국가 경쟁력을 좌우할 수 있는 70% 이상의 고급인력을 가지고 있는 거대한 지식제공처이다. 이런 대학의 도움 없이 산업경쟁력을 갖추어 세계 시장과 경쟁을 한다고 하는 것은 한계가 있다 따라서 대학은 가지고 있는 연구결과나 지식을 통하여 경제적인 가치를 만들어야 한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리나라의 산학협동을 통한 연구와 그 성과를 실시했던 기간에 비해 낮다고 볼 수밖에 없다, 그 이유를 체제나 제도의 미비보다는 그 체제를 운영하는데 필요한 거래 비용이 높아서라고 보고 이것을 낮추므로 활성화가 될 수 있다는 사회과학적 측면에서 접근해 보았다.

항만공사의 운영 효율성과 자율성을 강화를 통해 국가 및 지역발전 기여 요구가 꾸준히 제기되고 있다. 이 연구는 선진 항만공사 도델(미국 PANYNJ, 싱가포르 PSA)을 살펴보고, 국내 항만관련법령 상의 항만공사의 역할과 한계를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 항만공사의 자율성을 강화하고, 글로벌 항만기업으로 육성하기 위한 제도개선 및 정책제언을 위한 기초연구의 토대를 제공코자 한다.

This paper focuses to identify and analyze the influence of product/market characteristics on the performance of new ventures. An empirical result points that some factors playa role. High channel dependence and made-ta-order supply have negative impact on venture performance, while high service requirements have a positive influence. Summing up the findings of this study, we suggested the implications for defining the battle-grounds where new ventures have a better chance.

Open innovation is known to have a significant impact on the performance of enterprise innovation. The role of open innovation is more critical due to small scale and limitation on the available resources for the venture company. This study focused on the relationship among Entrepreneurship(ENT), Innovation Capability(IC), and External Cooperation(EC), which affect Technological Innovation Performance(TIP) to maximize TIP. Empirical study was proceeded to analyze the relationships among ENT, IC, EC, and TIP for venture companies in Busan. ENT was verified to have a positive impact on IC, EC, and TIP. IC was done on EC and TIP. EC was done on TIP. Each of IC and EC showed positive mediating role in the relationship between ENT and TIP. Finally, IC and EC together performed positive mediating role in the relationship between ENT and TIC.
