The Nature of Variables Represented in the Titles of 7th Graders' Inquiry Report (중학교 1학년 학생들의 자유 탐구보고서에 나타난 변인의 유형)

  • To investigate the 7th graders' ideas on inquiry, researchers analysed the titles of inquiry report, which were submitted as summer vacation homework. The subjects were four classes of 141 thirteen year old boys and girls in a school in Seoul. After analysing the titles of student's report, researchers classified the titles into 9 types according to the clarity and the nature of variables in the titles. The fact that few students represented the variables in the report title and most of the variables used were categoric was found.

A Study on the Factors Influencing the Continuity of Volunteer Activities of Middle-aged Women (중년 여성의 자원봉사활동 지속성에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to examine how individual variables (motivation to participate, leadership life skills, aging awareness), interpersonal variables (relations with subjects, colleagues, and employees), and institutional variables (recognition compensation, institutional education) affect the continuity of volunteer activities. To this end, a survey was conducted on women aged 40 to 64 working at volunteer centers and local volunteer institutions in Seoul for 20 days from August 2, 2019, and a total of 300 questionnaires were distributed and 298 copies were collected, of which 180 were used for the final analysis. For data analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted. As a result of the analysis, it was found that leadership life skills and motivation for participation, relationships with colleagues as interpersonal variables, and recognition compensation as institutional variables had a positive effect on the continuity of volunteer activities. This study aims to provide practical and policy suggestions to revitalize and maintain the continuity of volunteer activities of middle-aged women, and basic data for the development of programs to be used in the field of practice.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 의복 구매시 백화점 및 시장에서 구매한 소비자의 의복 소비가치와 소비자 만족의 관계를 조사하여 비교하며, 이들 변인의 인구 통계학적 특성에 따른 차이를 알아보고, 의복 소비 가치와 인구통계학적 변인이 소비자 만족에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이다. 연구방법은 질문지법을 사용하였으며, 피험자는 서울 및 서울 근교에 거주하는 20∼50대 성인여성 364명이었다.

A Study on Influences of Learning Environment Variables in Elementary School Student's Science Process Skills (학습환경 변인이 초등학생의 과학 탐구능력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was analyzing what studying factors are affecting on the development of science process skills of the 5th graders in the elementary school. For this research, 2 hundreds of elementary students were chosen and questioned on 3 factors like teacher, school environment, and learning strategy which are supposed to affect the development of science process skills. According to the result, there were differences in the categories according to the region. Especially, science process skills were significantly different in level of school category(p<.05)). Science process skills were significantly correlated with teachers and school category, and learning environment in 5th grade. Based on these results, it is expected to perform analysis about the influences that studying variables have on science achievement and attitude as well as scientific reasoning ability. Also, further study is needed about the influence that these small difference have on middle and high school students, though studying variables are not statistically significant on this research.

  • The purpose of research is analyzing the ecological variables on the effect of child care teacher's happiness. The data was collected by the survey of the happiness factors and ecological variables of child care teachers. The results are listed below. First, of organismic variable, the age and the educational background of child care teacher showed discrimination one's happiness. Second, of micro system variable, the marital status is the only thing that affect the happiness. Third, of meso system variable, the teachers who are highly interact on each other such as, child to teacher and parents to teacher are much happier than others. Finally, of the outside system variable, the teachers who are working at the better working environment and good quality of duty are much happier than others.

A Theoretical Review of Relevance Judgments (적합 판단 영향 요인에 관한 이론적 고찰)

  • Relevance judgments play a very important role in evaluation of information systems since the degree of success of the information retrieval depends on the relevance judgments. This article reviews the theoretical background of the concept of 'relevance' associated with information retrieval evaluation and tries to identify whether there is any factor that affects relevance judgments. By reviewing previous researches done in the information retrieval evaluation field, four variables have been identified as impacting factors, such as document surrogates presented to judges, the order of presentation, measuring devices of relevance judgments and judges.

  • 이 연구는 방위가족과 생식가족간에 자녀양육에 대한 가치전달과 가치변화의 인식 에 대해 조사하였다 특히 방위가족에서 인식한 독립심과 순종의 가치가 생식가족에서 자녀 에게 전달되는지와 두가치의 인식에 변화가 있는지 그리고 이에 영향을 미치는 사회인구학 적 변인을 규명하는데 초점을 두었다. 방위가족에서 인식한 독립심의 가치는 생식가족에서 자녀에게 전달되고 더 강조되는 것으로 나타났다. 순종의 가치는 방위가족에서나 생식가족 에서 중요성이 감소되지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 방위가족에서 독립심의 가치인식에 유의한 차이를 보인 변인은 조사대상자의 연령과 교육수준 그들 어머니의 교육수준 그리고 맏자녀 의 연려에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 방위가족에서 순종의 가치인식에 영향을 미 친 변인은 없는 것으로 나타났고 조사대상자의 연령, 가족소득, 종교와 맏자녀 연령은 생식 가족에서 순종의 가치선택에 영향을 미치는 변인으로 나타났다.

Psychological Characteristics of Adult Sexual Offenders in South Korea (한국 성인 성범죄자의 개인 수준 심리적 특성 연구)

  • This research study was aimed to identify the psychological characteristics of sex offenders. In order to achieve those objectives, 123 sexual offenders, 102 common criminals, and 162 normal people were surveyed. We reviewed the previous studies examined the psychological characteristics of sexual offenders and summarized main variables related sexual offender at the individual level. Those variables included depression, anger, self-esteem, empathy, impulsivity, shame, psychopath, alcohol dependence. Results showed that the levels of depression, self-esteem, impulsivity, impulsion-cognitive, psychopathy were significantly different among the groups. The limitations and implications of this study and suggestions for future research are discussed.

The Relationships of Chemistry problem Solving Ability with Cognitive Variables and Affective Variables (화학 문제 해결력과 인지적.정의적 변인 사이의 관계)

  • In this study, tlhe relationships of high school students' abilities to solve chemistry problems with cognitive variables (logical thinking ability, mental capacity. and learning strategy) and affective variables(self-efficacy, self-concept of ability, learning goal, and attitude toward science) were investigated. The proportion of variance due to the variables for algorithmic and conceptual problem solving ability was studied by a multiple regression analysis. The results indicated that, among the cognitive variables, the logical thinking ability significantly predicted the algorithmic problem solving ability, and the learning strategy was the best predictor of conceptual problem solving ability although not significant. Among the affective variables studied, the self-concept of alility was the significant predictor of both algorithmic and conceptual problem solving abilities. The seif-efficacy was significantly correlated with conceptual problem solving ability, but it had no predictive power.

Analysis of satisfaction and effective variables in online learning for low-income students: Seoul U-learning system (저소득층 온라인학습 만족도 및 변인별 만족도 차이 분석: 서울시 사례를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the satisfaction and effective variables in online learning for low-income students. An Web-survey was conducted to measure its satisfaction and effectiveness. 285 students participated in the study. T-test and ANOVA were used to analyze the data. The result of satisfaction was fairly positive. In addition, there were differences in effectiveness. In specific, the each group of female, elementary school, higher level of achievement, and higher level of self-regulated learning group students showed higher satisfaction than the others. Suggestions and future research are discussed.
