Approximation of Green Warranty Function by Radon Radial Basis Function Network (Radon RBF Network에 의해 그린 보증 함수의 근사화)

  • As the price of traditional fuels soar, the alternatives are becoming more viable. And manufacturers are promoting the growing viability of electric and biofuel-powered vehicles through longer warranties. Now, these longer green environment (emission)warranties, sometimes called extended warranties or "super warranties," have been adapted. The main result of this paper is to present a new method to approximate a bivariate warranty function by using Radial Basis Function Network with application of Radon Transform and its inverse which is used to reduce the dimension of the warranty space. This method consist of the following stages: First, by using the Radon Transform, the bivariate warranty function can be reduced to one dimensional function. Second, each of the one dimensional functions is approximated by using neural network technique into neural sub-networks. Third, these neural sub-networks are combined together to form the final approximation neural network. Four, by using the inverse of radon transform to this final approximation neural network we get the approximation to the given function. Also, we apply the above method to some green warranty data of automotive vehicle company.

Applicability Analysis on Estimation of Spectral Induced Polarization Parameters Based on Multi-objective Optimization (다중목적함수 최적화에 기초한 광대역 유도분극 변수 예측 적용성 분석)

  • Among induced polarization (IP) methods, spectral IP (SIP) uses alternating current as a transmission source to measure amplitudes and phase of complex electrical resistivity at each source frequency, which disperse with respect to source frequencies. The frequency dependence, which can be explained by a relaxation model such as Cole-Cole model or equivalent models, is analyzed to estimate SIP parameters from dispersion curves of complex resistivity employing multi-objective optimization (MOO). The estimation uses a generic algorithm to optimize two objective functions minimizing data misfits of amplitude and phase based on Cole-Cole model, which is most widely used to explain IP relaxation effects. The MOO-based estimation properly recovered Cole-Cole model parameters for synthetic examples but hardly fitted for the real laboratory measures ones, which have relatively smaller values of phases (less than about 10 mrad). Discrepancies between scales for data misfits of amplitude and phase, used as parameters of MOO method, and it is in necessity to employ other methods such as machine learning, which can deal with the discrepancies, to estimate SIP parameters from dispersion curves of complex resistivity.

A study about Graph Representation of Function of College freshmen (대학 신입생들의 함수의 그래프 표현에 관한 연구)

  • It is said that the university mathematics education in Korea faces critical situations due to the decreases of both qualities and quantities of students. In this paper we examine college students in order to know their basic ability for understanding about fundamental functions, such as polynomial, trigonometric, logarithm and exponential functions which have learned from highschool mathematics courses. The subject are 354 freshmen of 4 universities located in Daejeon and Chongchung area. The result of this study shows as follows. i ) More than half students are not able to draw graphs of given functions, except polynomial. ii ) More students do not fully understand about function properties such as domain, codomain, range, max and min value, cycle and parallel translation.

Determination of the Unsaturated Hydraulic Conductivity Function (불포화 투수계수함수에 대한 연구)

  • An unsaturated hydraulic conductivity function and a soil-water characteristic curve are the essential constitutive factors in studying unsaturated soils. In order to obtain the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity function, prediction functions, which are based on the soil-water characteristic curve, have been used because it is difficult to measure the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity function directly. In this study, a parameter estimation method using the flow pump technique is introduced to determine the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity function. This method provides more accurate and independent solution than previous methods for the determination of the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity function which is not subordinate to the soil-water characteristic curve or prediction models.

  • In this paper, We proposed Gaussian function as a basis of hybrid method. Hybrid method is to extrapolate late time and high frequency data using early time and low frequency data. This method takes advantages of both MOT and MOM as well as having shorter running time and smaller error. For this method a better basis function is required. We compared the performance of the result with proposed function and conventional basis including Hermite and Laguerre polynomial.

  • This paper proposes a new wide-band beamforming algorithm which has Gaussian weighting at nested linear array for acoustic measurement. The beamforming is performed one-shot by using all sensors simultaneously, not octave-by-octave. Gaussian weighting of frequency-dependent function is applied to each sensor before time-delay compensation so as to control the frequency receiving band of each sensor. As the results of the simulations, it is confirmed that the proposed algorithm can form the one-shot beams having uniform directivity index and also it can be applied to the broad-band acoustic measurement.

  • This paper presents a method for Digital Image Motion Restoration by inverse filtering. In order to onstruct optimal Restoration filter, We exactly have to model the degradation process, and therefrom, derive the inverse filter which has inverse charateristics of the degradation model. An Image taken from object which moves fast, is o suffer blurring. it can be modeled by integration process mathematically and analyzed to convolve a rectangular window over an image. in this paper, We analyzed it in the frequency domain, and studied a method for motion restoration using inverse filter has a directional Sinc property.

  • 본 연구에서는 시스템의 해석적 모델과 측정된 응답을 이용하여 입력하중을 추정하는 역해석 기법을 유한요소모델과 같은 해석적 모델을 알고 있는 경우와 주파수응답함수와 같은 실험적 모델을 알고 있는 경우에 대하여 제시하였으며 이때 발생되는 수학적 악조건의 특성을 규명하였다. 역해석시 발생되는 수학적 악조건은 시스템의 동강성행렬과 측정위치에 의해 결정되는 특성행렬의 조건수에 따라 결정되며 역해석기법을 공학문제에 적용하기 위하여는 특성행렬의 조건수가 낮아지도록 주자유도 및 측정점을 선택하여야 하고 특히 공진영역 및 반공진영역에서는 필연적으로 악조건이 발생됨을 알 수 있었다. 수학적 악조건의 특성을 명확히 규명하기 위하여 간단한 수치해석을 통하여 그 결과를 제시하였다.

  • Sequence-Pair(SP)는 플로어플랜을 표현하는 모델 중 하나로써, 일반적으로 SP 모델을 사용하는 플로 어프래너 (floorplanner)는 Simulated-Annealing (SA) 알고리즙을 통해 해 탐색 과정을 수행한다. SP 모델을 이용한 다양한 논문에서 플로어플랜 성능 향상을 위해 평가함수의 개선과 스케줄링 기법 향상을 모색하였으며, 평가함수의 경우 O(nlogn) 시간 알고리즘이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 SP 모델을 이용한 SA 기법에서 SA의 해 탐색 과정 중 초기 해 탐색 시점에서 좋은 해를 빠르게 찾을 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 기존의 SA 프레임펙을 수정한 2단계 SA 알고리즘으로써 SP에 대응하는 배치를 압축하고 압축한 배치를 역변환하는 과정으로 구성된다. 실험과 결과를 통해 제안기법의 효과를 보이며, 평균적으로 동일한 SA 환경 하에서 제안기법이 최종결과 면에서 우수함을 보인다.

  • 본 논문에서는 웨이블릿 기저를 적용하여 영상을 주파수 대역이 각각 다른 영상으로 분리하고 이들과 원본 영상을 조합 후 웨이블릿 역변환을 적용하여 고해상도의 영상을 획득하는 초고해상도 기법을 제안한다. 기존의 단일 영상을 이용한 초고해상도 기법의 경우 영상에서의 고주파 대역을 찾기 위해 확률 기반의 여러 다양한 방법이 제시되었으나 연산 복잡도 증가로 인해 처리시간 증가 등의 문제가 발생한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 웨이블릿 기저 함수를 이용한 다양한 초고해상도 기법이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 주어진 영상 내에서 웨이블릿 기저 함수를 이용하여 주파수 대역 별로 영상을 먼저 생성하고, 원본 영상과 주파수 대역 별로 분리된 영상을 조합한 후 웨이블릿 역변환을 적용하여 해상도를 증가시키는 새로운 기법을 제안한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 웨이블릿 기반의 초고해상도 기법이 기존의 해상도 향상을 위한 다양한 보간법에 비해 향상된 효율을 보이는 것을 확인하였다.
