Statements of collected data were performed on t-test and ons-way ANOVA, correlation and multiple regression using the SPSS Statistics ver 18.0 for windows program. The study found that the higher role conflicts and greater role ambiguity in relation to direct trade and emotional labor, the higher the intensity of emotional labor, and the more social support, the lower the intensity of emotional labor. The emotional labor of dental hygienists can be solved at a personal level by trying to improve their relationship with members at a dentist's office and by making clear and more professional work segmentation according to their working characteristics. This will help develop a plan to manage the emotional labor of dental hygienists.

  • Despite large increases in the growth of the private security industry in the last few decades, very little empirically based information has been collected on the roles of private security within current Korean literature. Attempting to address this gap, this study examined perceptions of the roles of private security by surveying 212 police officers. In order to measure the strength of police officers' perception, not only quantitative but also qualitative methods were adopted. Overall, results of the study indicate that police officers considered private security as an adjunct to the police. However, they also believed that private security industry would grow to get square with the police in the near future. Concerning the specific roles of private security, police officers rated the roles of loss prevention and protection more highly than those of crime prevention and order maintenance. This result reveals that police officers thought private security had focused more on the roles related to the pursuit of profits than on the roles tied to its public functions.

  • This study is on the modification of characters' role and personality between spin-off animation and original works. For this, one of box office hits, (2011) and (2015) have been analyzed with Enneagram and Greimas' Actantial model. The result shows, firstly, the protagonist of spin-off work plays subject role in a new narrative comparing that he/she plays faithful helper's role in original work. Secondly, the protagonist's personality does not show big difference between in spin-off and in original. But, anyway, there's a small change that the secondary personality in original stands out as a primary personality in spin-off. Finally, the standing out personality of the protagonist tends to be 'achiever' or 'loyalist', those of stereotype successful animation characters. In conclusion, the role change according to new narrative seems to be unavoidable. And, the personality change is, too. However, the personality change is partial and it has continuity from the original considering the potential audiences' expectation.

We developed a frame of parents' role to analyze the rearing cases of nine mothers whose children currently attend the Korea Science Gifted Academy. We surveyed and conducted semi-structured interviews with nine mothers to collecting qualitative data and were able to find out their roles that were classified into 4 distinctive roles: Instructor, Supporter, Dialogist and Moral Discipliner.
