Modified Multi-bit Shifting Algorithm in Multiplication Inversion Problems (개선된 역수연산에서의 멀티 쉬프팅 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes an efficient inversion algorithm for Galois field GF(2n) by using a modified multi-bit shifting method based on the Montgomery algorithm. It is well known that the efficiency of arithmetic algorithms depends on the basis and many foregoing papers use either polynomial or optimal normal basis. An inversion algorithm, which modifies a multi-bit shifting based on the Montgomery algorithm, is studied. Trinomials and AOPs (all-one polynomials) are tested to calculate the inverse. It is shown that the suggested inversion algorithm reduces the computation time up to 26 % of the forgoing multi-bit shifting algorithm. The modified algorithm can be applied in various applications and is easy to implement.

회전자계 역수신 코일을 이용한 관벽의 자기공명영상

  • 목적: 기존의 역수신코일(inside-out receiver coil)로 관벽의 MR 영상을 얻을 때 영상영역이 좁고 수신감도가 불균일한 단점을 보완하면서 신호대 잡음비(S/N ratio)도 높일 수 있는 회전자계역수 신코일(quadratic inside-out receiver coil)의 개발을 목적으로 한다. 대상 및 방법: 8극형코일, 선형자계수신코일, 회전자계수신코일에 대하여 컴퓨터 모의실험으로 영상영역 및 감도의 균일성을 비교하였다. 회전자계수신코일은 안장 모양을 한 두 개의 선형자계코일이 서로 간섭이 일어나지 않도록 수직 방향으로 배열된 구조를 갖도록 하였다. 지름 3 cm 크기로 각 코일을 제작하였으며 지름 20 cm의 원통 중앙에 내경 4 cm의 관이 있는 팬텀을 만들어 MnC1$_2$를 섞은 물을 채운 다음 1.5T 초전도 MRI 장치와 0.3T 영구자석 MRI 장치에서 팬텀의 관벽 영상을 얻었다. 본 실험을 시행한 1.5T 장치의 구조 때문에 회전자계코일의 두 안장코일을 결합하는 회로를 제작하여 사용하였고 0.3T에서는 장치에 내장된 결합회로를 사용하였다. 또한 포르말린 용액에 보관된 소의 대장 조직 단면 영상을 FOV 10-12 cm로 얻어 회전자 계안장코일의 성능을 평가하였다.

Field Experiment of a Multi-azimuth Inverse VSP for Investigating Velocity Anisotropy (속도 이방성 조사를 위한 다방위 역수직 탄성파 현장 실험)

  • In order to estimate the anisotropy of the medium, we deployed a series of 120-sources in a borehole, and simultaneously recorded 3-component seismic data at 5 locations on the surface. We have tried to estimate the directional velocities by comparing the first arrivals at different receivers. For that purpose, the receiver statics must be corrected prior to pick the first arrivals. However, in an IVSP with a limited number of receiver points, it may not possible to estimate a reliable receiver statics, therefore, instead of using individual first arrival times, we tried to estimate the move-out velocity at each records. From this analysis, we have found that there exists a measurable amount of difference in directional velocities, and confirmed that the velocity anisotropy agrees with the results of the previous studies conducted in this area.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Lumen Wall using Quadrature-typed Inside-out Receiver Coil (회전자계 역수신 코일을 이용한 관벽의 자기공명 영상)

  • This study Proposes a quadrature-typed inside-out receiver coil to obtain magnetic resonance(MR) images of lumen wall. This means that the coil should receive the signals from out-side of receiver coil. This coil has wide and uniform sensitive region to compare with previous coils such as anti-solenoid coil, octal-pole coil and so on. These coils have the disadvantages that sensitive region is narrow and inhomogenous. The proposed coil is consist of two saddle coils of which directions are orthogonal to one another. The sensitivity maps of octal-Pole coil single-saddle coil and quadrature-typed inside-out coil were obtained by computer simulation. And phantom images for each coil were obtained to evaluate the performances of the coil using both 1.5T superconducting and 0.3 Permanent magnet MRI system. The uniformity of quadrature coil's sensitivity map was superior to that of octal-polel coil. Experimentally measured SNR of quadrature coil is also 36% higher than that of single-saddle coil This study shows the possibility of quadrature-typed inside-out receiver coil for the MR lumen wall images.

Different Approaches of Introducing the Division Algorithm of Fractions: Comparison of Mathematics Textbooks of North Korea, South Korea, China, and Japan (분수 나눗셈 알고리즘 도입 방법 연구: 남북한, 중국, 일본의 초등학교 수학 교과서의 내용 비교를 중심으로)

  • This article compares and analyzes mathematics textbooks of North Korea, South Korea, China and Japan and draws meaningful ways for introducing the division algorithm of fractions. The analysis is based on the five contexts: 'measurement division', 'determination of a unit rate', 'reduction of the quantities in the same measure', 'division as the inverse of multiplication or Cartesian product', 'analogy with multiplication algorithm of fractions'. The main focus of the analysis is what context is used to introduce the algorithm and how much it can appeal to students. This analysis supports that there is a few differences of introducing methods the division algorithm of fractions among those countries and more meaningful way can be considered than ours. It finally suggests that we teach the algorithm in a way which can have students easily see the reason of multiplying the reciprocal of a divisor when they divide with fractions. For this, we need to teach the meaning of a reciprocal of fraction and consider to use the context of determination of a unit rate.

The Integer Number Divider Using Improved Reciprocal Algorithm (개선된 역수 알고리즘을 사용한 정수 나눗셈기)

  • With the development of semiconductor integrated technology and with the increasing use of multimedia functions in computer, more functions have been implemented as hardware. Nowadays, most microprocessors beyond 32 bits generally implement an integer multiplier as hardware. However, as for a divider, only specific microprocessor implements traditional SRT algorithm as hardware due to complexity of implementation and slow speed. This paper suggested an algorithm that uses a multiplier, 'w bit $\times$ w bit = 2w bit', to process $\frac{N}{D}$ integer division. That is, the reciprocal number D is first calculated, and then multiply dividend N to process integer division. In this paper, when the divisor D is '$D=0.d{\times}2^L$, 0.5 < 0.d < 1.0', approximate value of ' $\frac{1}{D}$', '$1.g{\times}2^{-L}$', which satisfies ' $0.d{\times}1.g=1+e$, $e<2^{-w}$', is defined as over reciprocal number and then an algorithm for over reciprocal number is suggested. This algorithm multiplies over reciprocal number '$01.g{\times}2^{-L}$' by dividend N to process $\frac{N}{D}$ integer division. The algorithm suggested in this paper doesn't require additional revision, because it can calculate correct reciprocal number. In addition, this algorithm uses only multiplier, so additional hardware for division is not required to implement microprocessor. Also, it shows faster speed than the conventional SRT algorithm and performs operation by word unit, accordingly it is more suitable to make compiler than the existing division algorithm. In conclusion, results from this study could be used widely for implementation SOC(System on Chip) and etc. which has been restricted to microprocessor and size of the hardware.

Extended Additional Layer Method for the Calculation of TM mode coupling coefficient for Trapezoidal Gratings (확장된 새로운 층 방법을 이용한 사다리꼴 회절격자의 TM 모드의 결합계수 계산)

  • TM mode coupling coefficients for a generic five-layer DFB structure with trapezoidal and triangular gratings are calculated using the extended additional layer method. To determine the unperturbed field distributions of TM modes, a grating region is replaced by a new uniform layer whose inverse dielectric constant is the average value of the inverse dielectric constant of grating region in both longitudinal and transverse directions. Based on the self-consistent check, the validity of this method is established by comparing the results calculated by partitioning the grating region up to six uniform layers.

  • The basic soft magnetic characteristics of a typical Fe based amorphous $Fe_{80}B_{15}Si_{5}$ alloy were measured with pulse metheod. Quantitative relations between magnetostriction, anisotropy energy, reluctivity were investigated. The relative contribution factor of magnetostrictive and uniaxial anisotropy energy to the reluctivity were calculated. The internal stress and induced anisotropy were estimated. A tension applied to the long axis of the sample greatly enhanced induced anisotropy.

  • Recently, water treatment facility is usually eastablished in underground, and waterproofing and anti-corrosion materials for concrete structures applied water treatment tank is developing in various ways. However, as the limit of research focused on durability improvement of top coating material, it is insufficient to study on the adhesion strength between the concrete surface and primer. Therefore, there is to confirm the adhesion of between concrete surface and the three primers used as anti-corrosion waterproofing materials, and to investigate the properties of adhesion strength according to the condition such as wet codition and water pressure condition of the concrete surface in this study.
