Resource Leveling using Genetic Algorithm (유전알고리즘을 활용한 자원평준화 방법론)

  • Resource leveling minimizes resource fluctuations by deferring the earliest start times (ESTs) of non-critical activities within their corresponding total float. The intentional float-consumption for resource leveling purpose reduces the schedule delay contingency. This paper presents a method called Genetic Algorithm based Resource Leveling (GARL) that minimizes resource fluctuations and float-consumption impact over project duration. It identifies activities that are less sensitive to float-consumption and performs resource leveling using those activities. The study is of value to project scheduler because GARL identifies the set of activities to be deferred and the number of shift day(s) of each and every activities in the set within its total float expeditiously. It contributes to establish a baseline schedule which implements an optimal resource leveling plan. A case study is presented to verify the validity and usability of the method. It was confirmed that GARL satisfies the project duration constraint by considering resource fluctuations and float-consumption over project duration.

Performance Analysis of Earth Work Using Excavator in the Case of Forest Road Construction (임도공사시(林道工事時) 굴삭기(掘削機)를 이용(利用)한 토공작업(土工作業)의 공정분석(工程分析))

  • This study was carried out to investigate working time, performance, and to predict performance that related to the factor of forest road in earth work using excavator. It was found that the real working time was 503 minutes in a day. The ratio of real working time and allowance per total working time was approximately 85.7% and 14.3% individually. The rate of soil movement(Sm) to net working time was 38.6%, and earth cutting(Ec) was 32.5%. According to performance analysis, performance of earth work using excavator($0.8m^3$) in straight part was 1.4 times larger than curve part and rock work using excavator($0.8m^3$) which had breaker in straight was 9.1 times larger than earth work using excavator($0.8m^3$) which had bucket. Performance of earth work using excavator($1.0m^3$) was 1.3 times larger than using excavator($0.8m^3$) in straight and curve part. Working performance in earth work using excavator($0.8m^3$) was influenced by the conditions of radius of curve, width of roadway, slope gradient. It is not influenced by diameter and number of root stock.

  • In collision avoidance problem of a ship, collision risk model is usually set up using the interview results fron experts who sit on a simulator by varying parameters, in which DCPA and TCPA are commonly used. This method, however, has the weakness in that not only it is expensive but also it shows different results depending on the inerviewees and other navigational parameters. In this study, a fuzzy inference system is designed based on own ship's maneuverability verified fron simulation instead of interviewing navigators. The time and distance corresponding to the collision risk value on which avoidance maneuver should be started are set to the minimum marginal time at which own ship starts maneuvering and the minimum marginal distance suggested by marine traffic rules respectively. This system can be recorfigured as a nonlinearity-strengthened one by increasing the number of fuzzy membership functions.

  • The objective of this study was to identify generational difference of work value and job engagement. Total 256 nurses participated in Korea. Analysis of variance(ANOVA) was conducted to investigate the generational differences of work value and job engagement and factors of work values influencing to job engagement was identified by multiple regression analysis. Nurses considered financial benefits, job security, and work environment as the most important thing and autonomy, possibilities of promotion, and contribution to society were considered less important in their work life. Y and Z-generation nurses respected more to interests at work and time availability for private life than X-generation in work life.

Dominance and Performance of Real-time Scheduling Algorithms on Multiprocessors (다중처리기 상의 실시간 스케줄링 알고리즘의 우월 관계 및 성능)

  • Multiprocessor architecture becomes increasingly common on real-time systems as computer hardware technology rapidly progresses and the workload of real-time systems increases. However, efficient solutions for many real-time multiprocessor scheduling problems are not known. Hence many researchers apply uniprocessor scheduling algorithms to multiprocessor scheduling or devise new algorithms based on these algorithms. Such algorithms are EDF (Earliest Deadline First), LLF (Least Laxity First), EDF-US[m/(2m-1)], and EDZL (Earliest Deadline Zero Laxity), and comparative studies on them are necessary. In this paper, we show the dominance relation of these algorithms with respect to schedulability, and we prove EDZL strictly dominates EDF. The simulation results show that EDZL has high processor utilization and it causes a small number of preemptions.

  • This paper describes a design method using an optimization technique to satisfy the longitudinal handling quality of high maneuverable jet aircraft. The dynamic inversion technique was applied to the target aircraft, and the control gain optimization satisfied the longitudinal short-period handling quality, however, the stability margin was not considered. If the stability margin is not satisfied, it is necessary to directly readjust the gains through trial and error methods for improvement. To improve this, an additional compensator and an optimization constraint were added to the control gain optimization procedure. In addition, the degree of handling quality satisfaction with the optimization result was reevaluated, and additional control evaluation criteria for the convergence of the time response and the steady state error that the flight performance requirement set as the optimization constraint cannot be reflected, and the results are described.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 하이브리드 위상고정루프(Digital Hybrid Phase-Locked Loop, DHPLL) 주파수 합성기 구조에서 고 순도 스펙트럼과 초고속 스위칭 속도를 위한 설계기술을 제안한다. D/A 변환기 출력으로 전압제어발진기(Voltage Controlled Oscillator, VCO)를 구동하는 개 루프(open-loop) 구성 방식과 기존 위상고정루프(Phase Locked Loop, PLL)의 폐 루프(closed-loop) 구성 방식을 혼합한 하이브리드 구조의 주파수 합성기를 고려하여, 시스템 변수(개 루프 대역과 위상 여유)와 성능 파라미터(정착시간, 위상 잡음, 그리고 최대 오버슈트(Max. overshoot)의 관계를 연구하였다. 그리고 이 관계를 통해 스펙트럼 순도와 스위칭 속도를 향상시키기 위한 최적의 3가지 설계방안을 제시한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과, 주파수 스위칭 과정에서 발생하는 최대 오버슈트가 0.0991%이고 완전 정상상태 도달시간은 0.288msec이다. offset 주파수 10KHz에서 위상 잡음은 -128.15dBc이다.

  • The control design for attitude and yaw rate of 40 % scaled SMART UA Vhas been performed. Analytic selection method for a control gain is proposed to meet the design specification of desired time response considering stability margin. The sliding mode attitude controller is also proposed and compared with the simulation results of a linear controller. Additionally, a velocity and height tracking controller is devised to prepar for the flight test.

  • This paper is study of buffering system for multimedia server. We propose the scheme that increasing the performance of multimedia sever by using the buffer sharing scheme and slot addressing algorithm to maximize fixed buffer utilization. Also, we calculate reference time about a used block and next stream reuse that stram. As a result, we propose the buffering system satisfy the users request using the extra bandwidth that reducing multimedia server I/O.

  • 기존의 이산시간 슬라이딩 모드 제어기에서는 주어진 슬라이딩 평면으로부터 등가 제어기를 설계하고 그로부터 폐루프 시스템의 고유값이 결정 되어 폐루프 시스템의 극점을 임의로 배치시키는 것이 어려웠다. 최근 슬라이딩 모드제어에 극점 배치기법을 도입하여 폐루프 시스템의 고유값을 임의로 배치시킬 수 있는 방법이 소개되었다. 그러나 극점 배치 기법은 루프 전달함수의 이득과 위상에 대한 여유도 관점에서 설계된 제어기가 아니므로 직접적으로 이득과 위상에 대한 여유도를 보장하기가 힘들다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 루프 전달함수의 이득과 위상에 대한 여유도를 확보할 수 있고 측정 잡음에 대한 민감성을 줄이기 위해 LTR과 멀티레이트 출력 제어기법을 적용해 해결하는 방법을 제안한다.
