Two Color PIV를 이용한 램제트엔진 연소기 특성에 대한 연구

  • 램제트 엔진에 대한 기초 연구로서 양쪽 대칭의 공기 흡입구를 갖는 2차원 형태의 램제트엔진 연소기를 제작하여 그 특성을 분석하였다. 실험은 흡입공기의 연소실내 유입각도와 연소실내의 도움 위치에 따른 연소실 형상을 바꾸어가며 연소기내의 유동특성을 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 고속 유동장의 2차원 평면 속도 분포를 측정할 수 있는 two color PIV 기법을 개발하였다. 이 기법은 다른 색의 두 레이저빔을 사용하여 방향성의 문제를 해결하며, 이미지의 색 분리에 따른 거의 완벽한 cross-correlation이 가능하며 높은 single-to-noise 비를 얻게 됨으로써 dynamic range의 증가가 가능해지며, 조사 영역 안에 존재해야 하는 입자 쌍의 수가 줄어들게 된다.(중략)

  • 초음속 비행체 및 극음속 성층권 비행체용 추진기관으로의 사용이 검토되고 있는 차세대 추진기관들을 산화제 공급방식에 따라 공기흡입 엔진, 로켓 엔진 및 복합사이클 엔진으로 분류하여 엔진의 구성방식 및 추진특성들을 기술하였다. 공기흡입 엔진은 저고도에서의 성능이 우수하고 재사용이 가능 하지만 공기 밀도가 낮은 고 고도 영역에서의 성능이 좋지 않으며 로켓 엔진은 넓은 고도영역에서 사용이 가능한 반면 낮은 비추력 및 고비용 발사체계 등과 같은 단점들을 가지고 있다.(중략)

Study on the effect of Jet Fuel alteration on Turbine Engine Performances through Turbine Engine Test (터빈엔진시험을 통한 제트연료 변경에 따른 엔진성능 변화 연구)

  • The engine ground and altitude tests were carried out to investigate the effect of jet fuel alteration on the performance of a small turbojet engine. JP-S was supplied 8% higher than JP-8 by fuel metering system at the same command. The employment of JP-S showed the similar starting characteristic to that of JP-8, however, difference in the ignition time and acceleration rate of engine speed due to the difference of fuel flow rate by fuel metering system was observed. In spite of jet fuel alteration, the test results yield the similar steady-state engine performance in net thrust, air flow, exhaust gas temperature, etc. On the other hand, the fuel consumption of JP-S increased by 5 % compared with that of JP-8. In point of specific fuel consumption (SFC), SFC of JP-S was approximately 1.1~2.6 %, 5 % higher than that of JP-8 in ground and altitude tests respectively at the same thrust.

  • The easiest way to see the phenomena of compressor surge is to show the static and dynamic operation characteristic on the map. Its operation zone will be restricted by the surge limit and, static and transient process must have some margin for it. Effect of rotor moment of inertia, air/gas volumes and heat transfer are factors to cause the transition from the static line. In case a large volume such as heat exchanger exists in the system it will exert a substantial influence to dynamic characteristics. In the present paper, influence of air volume bled from the compressor exit on transient process is investigated with an example of an auxiliary power unit micro-turbine engine. Turbine mass, pressure ratio, rotation speed, power and moment are calculated based on mass and work conservation. Result from the present study can give guidance to design the control system. A computer program is developed to calculate the dynamic process using the MathCAD commercial software.

  • 본 연구은 자동차용 가솔린엔진에 장착되는 인젝터의 연료공급 특성에 대한 것으로, 가솔린 엔진의 전자제어식 포트 연료분사는 분무장치와 흡기포트의 최적화 및 분무특성이 우수해야 엔진의 성능 향상 및 배기가스 저감의 목적을 이룰 수 있다. 4홀과 12홀 인젝터의 장착각 변화와 포트 마스킹의 형상변화에 따른 벽유량을 측정?분석하였고 분무가시화 실험을 통하여 분무성장과정과 분사각, 연료미립화 및 분무도달거리를 분석하였다. 벽류측정 실험을 통하여 벽류는 미립화정도와 흡기유동과 유속에 가장 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 판단되며, 12홀 인젝터 대비 4홀 인젝터는 분무압력에 따라 분무특성의 변화량이 크게 나타났다.

  • Depending on the status of the engine oil, the dielectric constant is changed. Dielectric constant of oil is related to the characteristic impedance of the probe and the characteristic impedance of the probe determines the reflected signal. In this paper, we derive an equivalent circuit of the probe and using the dielectric constant obtained by measuring the capacitance, the theoretical reflection coefficient of the probe was calculated. In the results, if the engine oil is deteriorated, we can see that the reflection coefficient is increased.

  • Research for developing 9 tonf-class staged combustion cycle engine which is high performance upper stage engine has been conducted. Technical demonstration model of the staged combustion cycle engine was installed in combustion test facility of Naro space center. Combustion tests of Power-pack which consists of pre-burner and turbopump without main combustion chamber and combustion tests of engine have been conducted. The vacuuming process of hydraulic lines is introduced and the characteristics of turbopump and hydraulic lines of engine combustion test are described in this paper.

  • Operating characteristics of DGT-5 being developed by Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd. for power generation service was evaluated. Starting behavior was improved by a series of tests to investigate the effect of various fuel schedule and several combination of bleed valve control. The engine showed stable operation without any instability of compressor in the full operating regime covering from start-up to load conditions. If there is a rapid change of load in the condition of synchronization to Grid, the engine can be controlled stably based on the analysis of dynamic responses of the engine to an rapid load change and a sudden load rejection.

  • Using liquefied natural gas as a fuel, water, natural gas and liquefied natural gas-cooled firing tests were conducted. With the viewpoint of characteristic velocity, and specific impulse, the effect of OF mixture ratio and fuel inlet temperature into a combustion chamber were analyzed. OF mixture ratio and fuel inlet temperature into a combustion chamber have great influence on the performance. Characteristic velocity and theoretical specific impulse attain the maximum value at 0.72~0.75 and 0.75 of OF mixture ratio, respectively. Engine performance has a tendency to increase, proportional to fuel inlet temperature into a combustion chamber affected by the regenerative cooling.
