Hydrogen Permeation Performance of Ni48Nb32Zr20 Alloy Membrane Coated with Pd by Sputtering (스퍼터링으로 Pd가 코팅된 Ni48Nb32Zr20 합금분리막의 수소 투과 성능)

  • In modern times, when a change in the energy paradigm is required, hydrogen is an attractive energy source. Among these hydrogen purification technologies, technology using a membrane is attracted attention as a technology that can purify high purity hydrogen at low cost. However, palladium(Pd), which is mostly used because of its excellent hydrogen separation performance, is very expensive, so a replacement material is needed. In this study, a alloy membrane was manufactured from an alloy of niobium (Nb), which has high hydrogen permeability but is weak to hydrogen embrittlement, and nickel (Ni) and zirconium (Zr), which have low hydrogen permeability but are highly durable. Hydrogen permeation characteristics were confirmed under conditions of 350~450 ℃ at 1 to 4 bar. The maximum hydrogen permeation flux was 0.69 ml/cm2/min for the Ni48Nb32Zr20 alloy membrane without Pd coating, and 13.05 ml/cm2/min for the Pd coated alloy membrane.

  • The purpose of the present work is to derive the reflection and transmission coefficients of $S_0\;and\;A_0$ mode Lamb waves in relation to the geometry of a rectangular notch when the waves propagate across the notch in an elastic plate. Firstly, the excitable modes of the Lamb wave were analyzed with respect to the plate thickness. The scattering phenomena were divided into three independent processes according to the boundary shape of the notch and the direction of the wave propagation. Linear equations for each process were derived with corresponding free or continuous boundary conditions to analyze the scattered waves. By the rule of linear superposition, the waves scattered at each process were summed for each mode. Then the steady-state reflection and transmission coefficients of the scattered waves were determined so that the difference of energy flux between the incident and the scattered waves would remain within 4%.

  • 이산화탄소 규제 대응 전략으로, 배출되는 온실가스를 분리, 회수, 처리하는 연구가 지속적으로 진행되고 있다. 현재 이산화탄소 저감 연구는 공정개발 초기부터 이산화탄소 배출을 방지하거나 분리하기 쉬운 형태로 설계하는 방식으로 전환되고 있다. 그 예로 고온 순산소 연소 시스템이 제안되었다. 이는 $CO_2$를 가장 효과적으로 저감시키는 방법 중의 하나로 연소에 사용되는 산화제로 순산소를 사용하여 원료를 절감할 수 있고 산소를 사용하기 때문에 배가스 중에 질소분율이 감소하여 배가스에 의한 현열손실을 줄일 수 있으며 또한 배가스 현열을 회수하여 산소를 고온으로 예열시켜 에너지를 추가적으로 절감할 수 있다. 이를 위해 산소를 선택적으로 투과시켜 고순도 산소를 제조할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 산소제조 장치비를 절감할 수 있는 ITM (Ion Transport Membrane) 신소재 및 산소 투과 공정을 개발하고자 한다.

An Analysis of the Sound Propagation between Rooms with Different Mediums (서로 다른 매질을 갖는 격실사이의 음파전달해석)

  • In this paper, an analysis of sound propagation between two rooms with different mediums is discussed. Statistical energy analysis (SEA) is used to consider energy equilibrium among subsystems associated with the sound pressure levels in two rooms and the vibration level of the wall between rooms. Effect of the sound radiation from the structure-borne noise of the wall on sound pressure level of the receiving room is investigated. For a numerical example, sound propagation between engine room and water tank joined by a steel plate whose size is $8.4{\times}4$ m, is considered. It is found that when the critical frequency of the plate is above the frequency range of interest, the sound pressure level in the water tank is dominated by sound transmission through the plate, while sound radiation from the structure-borne noise of the plate is negligible except low frequency range below 63 Hz.

A Study on the Permeation Properties of Permanent Gases and condensable Vapors through Hexamethyldisiloxane Plasma-Polymerized Membranes (Hexamethyldisiloxane 플라즈마 중합막을 통한 영구기체 및 응축성 증기의 투과특성에 관한 연구)

  • The permeation properties of plasma polymer membranes were studied for permanent gases such as He, $H_2$, $O_2$, $N_2$, $CH_4$ and condensable vapors such as $CO_2$, $C_2H_4$, $C_3H_8$. The plasma polymers were prepared by the discharge of microwave or radiofrequency(RF) wave. Hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDS) vapor was used as a monomer for plasma polymerization. In HMDS plasma-polymerized membranes prepared under microwave discharge, the permeability coefficient was dependent of the kinetic molecular diameter of the permeate gases. Additionally the membranes showed higher $O_2/N_2$ permselectivity compared to the plasma polymers from radiofrequency discharge. On the contrary, in the HMDS plasma-polymerized membranes prepared under radiofrequency discharge, the permeability coefficient was dependent of the critical temperature of the permeant gases. The membranes showed high selectivities of $C_2H_4$ and $C_3H_8$ over $N_2$. The permeability coefficient of plasma polymerized membranes prepared under microwave discharge was dependent of the molecular diameter of permeant gases because of high crosslinking density of the membrane. However, the crosslinking density of the plasma polymerized membranes prepared under RF discharge was lower because the energy density of RF wave is weaker than that of microwave. Hence, the permeability of RF plasma polymerized membranes became dependent of the critical temperature rather than molecular diameter of the gases.

  • 최근에 들어서 태양에너지의 화학적 에너지로의 변환에 대한 연구는 에너지 부족에 대한 대안으로서 각광을 받고 있는 분야이다. 이런 관심을 바탕으로 한 다양한 연구는 연속식 또는 회분식 반응기를 이용한 불균일계 촉매를 이용함으로써 진행되고 있고, 특히 기-액, 기-고 그리고 기-액-고상 반응기를 응용하는 광촉매 반응에 관심이 증폭되고 있다. 그리고 광촉매 반응이 실제 산업계에서 활용되기 전에 먼저 불균일계 광촉매 반응기의 설계기준에 대한 연구가 선행되어야 하며 실제 산업적인 응용측면에서도 광촉매 반응의 충분한 이용가능성에 관심이 이루어져야 한다.(중략)

Compare the Clinical Tissue Dose Distributions to the Derived from the Energy Spectrum of 15 MV X Rays Linear Accelerator by Using the Transmitted Dose of Lead Filter (연(鉛)필터의 투과선량을 이용한 15 MV X선의 에너지스펙트럼 결정과 조직선량 비교)

  • Recent radiotherapy dose planning system (RTPS) generally adapted the kernel beam using the convolution method for computation of tissue dose. To get a depth and profile dose in a given depth concerened a given photon beam, the energy spectrum was reconstructed from the attenuation dose of transmission of filter through iterative numerical analysis. The experiments were performed with 15 MV X rays (Oncor, Siemens) and ionization chamber (0.125 cc, PTW) for measurements of filter transmitted dose. The energy spectrum of 15MV X-rays was determined from attenuated dose of lead filter transmission from 0.51 cm to 8.04 cm with energy interval 0.25 MeV. In the results, the peak flux revealed at 3.75 MeV and mean energy of 15 MV X rays was 4.639 MeV in this experiments. The results of transmitted dose of lead filter showed within 0.6% in average but maximum 2.5% discrepancy in a 5 cm thickness of lead filter. Since the tissue dose is highly depend on the its energy, the lateral dose are delivered from the lateral spread of energy fluence through flattening filter shape as tangent 0.075 and 0.125 which showed 4.211 MeV and 3.906 MeV. In this experiments, analyzed the energy spectrum has applied to obtain the percent depth dose of RTPS (XiO, Version 4.3.1, CMS). The generated percent depth dose from $6{\times}6cm^2$ of field to $30{\times}30cm^2$ showed very close to that of experimental measurement within 1 % discrepancy in average. The computed dose profile were within 1% discrepancy to measurement in field size $10{\times}10cm$, however, the large field sizes were obtained within 2% uncertainty. The resulting algorithm produced x-ray spectrum that match both quality and quantity with small discrepancy in this experiments.

CIGS 박막 태양전지용 CdS버퍼층의 제조 조건에 따른 특성 변화

  • CdS는 2.42 eV의 밴드 갭을 가지는 직접 천이형 반도체로서 CdTe계와 CGIS계 태양전지의 접합 partner로 많이 이용되어 왔다. 태양전지의 광투과층으로 사용되는 CdS 박막의 필요한 물성으로는 높은 광투과도와 얇은 두께이다. 광투과층으로 사용되는 CdS 막의 광투과도가 높아야 많은 양의 빛이 손실 없이 투과하여 광흡수층인 CIGS에 도달할 수 있다. 특히, CdS막의 두께가 얇으면 밴드 갭 이상의 에너지를 가지는 파장의 빛도 투과시킬 수 있어 태양전지의 효율의 증가을 얻을 수가 있다. 그러나 CdS 막의 두께가 얇을 경우, pinhole이 생성되는 등 막의 균질성이 문제가 되기 때문에 얇으면서도 pinhole이 없는 CdS 박막을 만들기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 높은 변환 효율을 갖는 CIGS 박막 태양전지 제작에 적합한 chemical bath depostion(츙)법을 이용하여 CdS 박막을 제조하였다. 또한 반응온도, Cd 및 S source 비, 반응용액의 pH와 같은 증착 조건에 따른 박막의 구조적, 광학적 특성을 조사하였다.
