Potential Roles of Awareness Computing Technology for Energy Management (에너지 관리를 위한 인식 컴퓨팅의 잠재적 역할 연구)

  • Energy management aims to financial and ecological success by optimizing the energy consuming sources such as sensors, computers and appliances. Hence, acquiring energy-related data from the sources in an automated manner is the starting point of managing energy. Recently, awareness computing has been emerging in system and cybernetics area. Awareness is the most fundamental ability for any living things to survive, and also the first step to make systems intelligent with the help of artificial intelligence. Even though the potential reciprocal benefits between energy management and awareness computing, frameworks which show how awareness computing contributes to manage energy-related strategy have been very few. Hence, this paper aims to introduce the awareness computing issues to improve energy management. In particular, we focus on satisfaction awareness computing which potentially realize the balance of energy savings and user's utility.

A Study on the Text-Independent Speaker Recognition Using Frequency Energy (주파수 에너지를 이용한 텍스트 독립 화자인식에 관한 연구)

  • 모음 검출을 통하여 미리 등록한 단어가 아닌 경우에도 화자를 인식할 수 있도록 특징 파라메터를 개발하고, 실용화가 가능하도록 처리 방법을 간략화한 텍스트 독립 화자 인식 연구를 진행하였다. 이를 위해서, 화자가 발성한 음성에서 모음을 검출하여 화자인식에 사용하는 방법을 제안하였으며, 인식은 각 화자가 발성한 음성 신호에서 모음을 검출한 다음, 검출된 모음의 29 채널의 주파수 에너지를 퍼지값으로 효현한 후, 퍼지 추론을 적용하여 수행하였다. 실험을 위해 모음 검출 알고리듬을 개발하였으며, 화자인식의 특징 파라메터로 29 채널 주파수 에너지를 제안하였는데, 별도의 코드북 없이 사용이 가능하고, 기존의 파라메터에 비해 인식율이 높으면서도 구성 및 계산이 간단한 특징이 있다. 실험결과, 미리 작성된 표준패턴과 동일한 단어를 사용한 텍스트 의존 화자 인식 실험은 95.5% 인식율을 보였고, 표준 패턴과 다른 종류의 단어를 사용한 텍스트 독립 화자인식 실험은 94.2% 인식율을 보이고 있다.

Voice Recognition Performance Improvement using a convergence of Voice Energy Distribution Process and Parameter (음성 에너지 분포 처리와 에너지 파라미터를 융합한 음성 인식 성능 향상)

  • A traditional speech enhancement methods distort the sound spectrum generated according to estimation of the remaining noise, or invalid noise is a problem of lowering the speech recognition performance. In this paper, we propose a speech detection method that convergence the sound energy distribution process and sound energy parameters. The proposed method was used to receive properties reduce the influence of noise to maximize voice energy. In addition, the smaller value from the feature parameters of the speech signal The log energy features of the interval having a more of the log energy value relative to the region having a large energy similar to the log energy feature of the size of the voice signal containing the noise which reducing the mismatch of the training and the recognition environment recognition experiments Results confirmed that the improved recognition performance are checked compared to the conventional method. Car noise environment of Pause Hit Rate is in the 0dB and 5dB lower SNR region showed an accuracy of 97.1% and 97.3% in the high SNR region 10dB and 15dB 98.3%, showed an accuracy of 98.6%.

  • One of the weaknesses of ad hoc network is that a route used between a source and a destination is to break during communication. To solve this problem, one approach consists of selecting routes whose nodes have the most stable link cost. In this paper proposes a new method for improving the low power distributed MAC. The method is rule-based on the context awareness of the each nodes energy in clustering. The proposed networks scheme could get better improve the awareness for data to achieve and performance on their clustering establishment and messages transmission.

  • 본 논문에서는 GWT(Gabor Wavelet Transform) 계수 에너지와 원 영상간의 영상 결합을 수행한 영상을 주성분 분석법(Principal Component Analysis)에 적용하여 얼굴 인식을 하는 방법을 제안한다. GWT는 가버 함수의 크기 변화와 방향 변화에 의해 생성된다. 따라서 GWT는 다양한 크기 변화와 방향 변화를 가지는 변환으로 특정 주파수 성분과 방향성을 가지는 영상 구조가 어디에 있는지의 지역적 정보를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있는 변환으로 알려져 있다. GWT를 통해 나온 계수 에너지를 추출하고 원 영상에 더하여 지역적 특성을 크게 만든 후에 통계적 방법 중 가장 많이 사용되어지고 검증을 받은 PCA를 사용하여 인식한다. GWT 계수의 에너지는 얼굴 윤곽선, 눈과 입, 얼굴과 머리의 경계 등 색감의 급격한 변화를 나타내는 곳의 정보를 표현을 해주기 때문에 특징점 추출에 사용되고 있지만 이를 전역적으로 이용하여 인식하는 방법에 관한 연구가 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 에너지 값만으로 전체 얼굴 영상의 세부적 표현을 할 수 없기 때문에 원 영상과의 l:l 비율의 영상 결항을 한 후 얼굴 인식 처리에 사용한다. 이 영상을 얼굴인식에 사용하였을 때원본 영상을 사용하였을 때보다 오인식이 줄었다.

The Relationship between Learners' Epistemological Beliefs About the Nature of Physics Knowledge and Physics Knowing During Conceptual Change in Mechanical Energy (학습자의 역학적 에너지에 대한 개념변화 중에 살펴본 물리지식과 앎에 대한 인식론적 신념간의 관계)

  • This study focused on research that illustrates the important interplay between learners' epistemological beliefs about science knowledge, physics textbook knowledge and knowing physics in the classroom. Also this study investigated learners' conceptual changes on the value of mechanical energy. To explore these topics, six sophomores were chosen as participants. Three categories were introduced to classify how participants' understanding of the nature of science knowledge, physics textbook knowledge has been linked with epistemological beliefs of knowing physics. The three categories were (1)receiving physics knowledge as authority, (2)receiving physics knowledge as the perception of teacher's role and (3)understanding physics knowledge as the perception that science knowledge is a product of a variety of human ideas. These categories were also concerned with construction of individual conceptions of mechanical energy. The participants who understood physics knowledge as the perception that science knowledge is a product of a variety of human ideas naturally used metacognitive strategy in classroom compared to other participants. And they had scientific conceptions about the value of mechanical energy. Others who were passive in classroom had unscientific conceptions about the value of mechanical energy due to definition of energy and epistemological beliefs about the nature of science knowledge. In the process of their conceptual changes on the value of mechanical energy, it was important to understand an instrumental aspect of scientific knowledge and to think about the relation between formulae and physical phenomena.

Speech Recognition Using the Energy and VQ (에너지와 VQ를 이용한 음성 인식)

  • In this paper, the performance of the speech recognition and speaker adaptation methods are studied. The speech recognition using energy state and VQ(Vector Quantization) is suggested and the speaker adaptation methods(Maximum a posteriori probability estimation, linear specrum estimation) are considered. The experimental results show that recognition ration using energy state is 2-3 % better than that of general VQ.

Item Response Analysis of Energy as a Cross-Cutting Concept for Grades 3 to 9 (기초공통개념으로서 에너지에 대한 3~9학년 학생들의 문항 반응 분석)

  • This study investigated children's (grade 3 to 9) responses to assessment items on energy as a cross-cutting concept in order to get basic information for a learning progression. The assessment consisted of 8 ordered multiple-choice items at the contexts of electric circuit, mechanical energy of falling objects, phase change of matter, dissolution, biological phenomena of a lizard, food chain, radiative equilibrium between Sun and Earth, and the system of water cycling. Children's responses to each item were analyzed with using cross-tabulations in terms of grades and item option levels and Wright map and Differential item functioning based on Rasch modeled item response analysis. The results offered empirical evidence of children's development of understanding energy from relation between energy and its phenomena, types of energy, transfer and conversion of energy, towards conservation and equilibrium of energy for all of eight contexts. Children of each grade did not fully understand energy conservation. As grade goes up, their understandings of energy transfer and conversion were differentiated across the contexts and topics of energy. According to Rasch analysis, children had easier understanding of energy on dissolution and poorer understanding of energy on water cycling than that on other contexts. It was discussed and suggested that the results of this study help us organize science topics with regard to energy when developing new national science curriculum.
