Developing Advanced Location-Based Route-Search Service for Smart-phones (진보된 스마트폰용 위치 기반 경로 검색 서비스 개발)

  • Various smart-phone applications for location-based service are enabled through mobile communications such as 3G and WiFi. We have developed MARS, an advanced location-based route-search application based on the Android platform. It provides three functions: route-registration, route-search, and route-evaluation. These functions are dynamically maintained by a web server, a database server, and user mobile terminals. As users can update location information using their smart-phone devices, servers provide the information and allow users to add, modify, and remove their own information as well as adding comments to others, while existing map services do not support direct inputs from users. We show our implementation process and demonstration of its operations. We also show the comparison results with existing services. Through these results, we can confirm that MARS can achieve better performance.

The New Architecture of Low Power Inner Product Processor for Reconfigurable Neural Networks (재구성 가능한 뉴럴 네트워크 구현을 위한 새로운 저전력 내적연산 프로세서 구조)

  • The operation mode of neural network is divided into learning and recognition process. Learning is updating process of weight until neural network archives target result from input pattern. Recognition is arithmetic process of input pattern and weight. Traditional inner product process is focused to improve processing speed and hardware complexity. There is no hardware architecture to distinguish between loaming and recognition mode of neural network. In this paper we propose the new architecture of low power inner product processor for reconfigurable neural network. The proposed architecture is similar with bit-serial inner product processor on learning mode. It have several advantages which are fast processing base on bit-level, suitability of hardware implementation and pipeline architecture to compute data. And proposed architecture minimizes active units and reduces consumption power on recognition mode. Result of simulation shows that active units is depend on bit representation of weight, but we can reduce active units about 50 precent.

  • In this paper, we represent the recognition method for human frontal upper body pose. In HCI(Human Computer Interaction) and HRI(Human Robot Interaction) when a interaction is established the human has usually frontal direction to the robot or computer and use hand gestures then we decide to focus on human frontal upper-body pose, The two main difficulties are firstly human pose is consist of many parts which cause high DOF(Degree Of Freedom) then the modeling of human pose is difficult. Secondly the matching between image features and modeling information is difficult. Then using Pictorial Model we model the human main poses which are mainly took the space of frontal upper-body poses and we recognize the main poses by making main pose database. using determined main pose we used the model parameters for particle filter which predicts the posterior distribution for pose parameters and can determine more specific pose by updating model parameters from the particle having the maximum likelihood. Therefore based on recognizing main poses and tracking the specific pose we recognize the human frontal upper body poses.

  • This paper introduce a structure of haptic collaboration system over high resolution tiled-display, and proposes a object based efficient display method for high resolution display in integrated system. in addition, a modeling of visualization system is defined to evaluate performance of the proposed method. Both haptic system and tiled-display system have requirements of computational power. A haptic device is unstable if haptic rendering rate is less than 1kHz. A requirement of tiled-display systems is frame rate of display. It requires update of 30 frame fer sec. If we use these systems independently, we can satisfy each requirements. However, if we integrate two systems, performance of entire system significantly decreases because of lack of resources. In this paper, therefore, we propose a segmentation-based display method for ultra high resolution display in integrated system. The proposed method reduces redundancy of display data by reducing a display rate of static objects. Finally, a modeling of visualization system is defined to evaluate performance of the proposed method.

  • Web service should be to connect business between enterprise through the Internet, promotion of construction speed and decrease of development expense of service construction are possible. Also, unification with other domain is possible easily, and update or correction is easy by offering reusability and replaceability through component based development. In this paper, We suggest development process to build architecture and this to integrate consisted component efficiently to develop web service that is embodied in supplier side on service oriented architecture(SOA). The suggest architecture to integrate component that is consisted for this efficiently, and describes development process. So that component develops web service to base structure of web service because do command stratification logically function in each hierarchy define, and presents architecture based on logical hierarchy. The web services consist of Facade and Backside component; The Facade component have web service functions. We describe process that develop to Facade component and present mailing web services as case study. It can be decrease production cost and development time. The web service based on component will improve reliability for reuseability and replaceability.

  • Recently. utilization of remote sensing exploration and cloud computing has been extended to efficient measurement, store, and update of bathymetry map data according to cloud computing technology. In the field of real ocean, water depth measurements and measurement data management, distribution, and display equipment for the development and dissemination have generated a lot of time and cost. To improve these problems, through real-time three-dimensional display system at this location, we can determine the importance of measurement activities, and reduce the time and cost of measurement activities. Data measured from marine probe vessels and remote sensing exploration equipments and other various channels can be handled and managed. In this paper, we propose a realtime three-dimensional display system through the depth measurements from remote sensing exploration. The proposed real-time three-dimensional display system can be effectively applied in the field of measurement of the topographical survey of the land as well as bathymetry of the sea.

  • Once information security solution is implemented, it requires many services other than just general user management, such as malicious code analysis and security updated for consistent security against external threats or attacks, analysis of threat and attack, effectivity management of obtained security assurance, and advisory activities of security technical professionals. However, even if information security solutions provide those extra services, they are not properly treated in real market. Thus, for the security sustainable services, this study analyzes the service status of domestic information security, and suggest policy measure of price which could reflected the characteristics of information security solutions.

  • Game bot playing is one of the main risks in Massively Multi-Online Role Playing Games(MMORPG) because it damages overall game playing environment, especially the balance of the in-game economy. There have been many studies to detect game bot. However, the previous detection models require continuous maintenance efforts to train and learn the game bots' patterns whenever the game contents change. In this work, we have proposed a machine learning technique using the self-similarity property that is an intrinsic attribute in game bots and automated maintenance system. We have tested our method and implemented a system to major three commercial games in South Korea. As a result, our proposed system can detect and classify game bots with high accuracy.

  • In this paper, we propose a distributed time synchronization technique for OFDMA- based wireless mesh communication systems. The proposed technique employs the bio-inspired algorithm for self-time synchronization in the physical layer. To achieve the network synchronicity, the proposed technique updates the transmission time and the FFT window using the TDoA information of received signals from the neighbor nodes. The proposed technique can achieve fast self-synchronization among nodes with a simple algorithm, without the need of a centralized controller. The performance of the proposed time synchronization technique is evaluated by simulation in terms of convergence speed and convergence probability.

  • Analysis of mechanical behavior for a pultruded-wound hollow rod is presented. For this purpose, the pultruded-wound hollow rod is manufactured by the new winder attached to the conventional pultrusion system. And the conventional pultrusion process is newly altered to manufacture pultruded-wound specimens. A computer program, POST II, is modified to perform this study, In the nonlinear finite element formulation, the updated Lagrangian description method based on the second Piolar-Kirchhoff stress tensor and the Green strain tensor are used. For the finite element modeling of the composite hollow rod, the eight-node degenerated shell element is utilized. In order to estimate the failure, the maximum stress criterion is adopted to the averaged stress in the each layer of the finite elements. As numerical examples, the behavior of glass/up composite hollow rod is investigated from the initial loading to the final collapse. Present finite element results considering stiffness degradation and stress unload due to failure shows excellent agreement with experiments in the ultimate load, failure and deformations.
