An Empirical Research on Human Factor Management Indicators for Information Security (정보보호를 위한 인적자산 관리지표 실증 연구)

  • This study is to develop a human resource (HR) security framework, and related HR security indicators in the context of information security. The HR security framework consists of three constructs, personnel assurance, personnel competence, and personnel security control. Based on the framework, HR security management indicators are derived as 26 indicators in 9 items out of 3 categories. An empirical research has been performed to verify the relevance and consistency between the indicators by conducting a questionnaire-based survey. Also, interrelationships between the proposed indicators and HR related security level were analyzed by the multiple regression analysis. As a result, the proposed hypothesis were mostly accepted, showing the significant relationships between the indicators and security level.

Effects of 8-week Exercise on Bcl-2, Bax, Caspase-8, Caspase-3 and HSP70 in Mouse Gastrocnemius Muscle (8주간 운동이 생쥐의 gastrocnemius에서 Bcl-2, Bax, caspase-8, caspase-3와 HSP70에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of exercise on intrinsic and extrinsic apoptosis signaling pathways in skeletal muscle. ICR-type white male mice were divided into a control group (CON: n=10) and an exercise training group (EX: n=10) after a 1 week adaptation period. EX performed treadmill running at 16.4 m/min with a 4% incline, 40 min/day and 5 days/week for 8 weeks. Cervical dislocation was performed at 48 hours after the last bout of exercise, after which gastrocnemius skeletal muscles were immediately collected. The results of verifying the intrinsic apoptosis pathway showed that there were no significant differences in Bcl-2, Bax, or the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2 proteins between EX and CON. On the other hand, the results of verifying the extrinsic apoptosis pathway showed that caspase-8 proteins were significantly lower in EX than in CON (p<0.05). Apoptosis suppressing protein HSP70 was higher in EX than in CON. In addition, caspase-3, which is the final factor for apoptosis, was not activated. These results indicate that apoptosis did not develop since caspase-3 is non-cleaved by the effects of caspase-8 and HSP70 extrinsic pathways rather than Bcl-2 and Bax intrinsic pathways among signal pathways for apoptosis.

  • The primary purpose of price regulation on public utilities and other public services is not to prevent them from rising and control inflation but to allocate resources efficiently and reflect social values, when market does not function perfectly. That is, price regulation by government is a policy tool which is aimed at microeconomic effects. Therefore, when a microeconomic policy tool is used for macroeconomic policy objectives, such as price stabilization, we can have problems stemming from the mismatch. One of the examples is distortions in the relative price structure of resources. As government suppresses increases in regulated prices in an effort to reduce inflationary pressures, some of the public services become relatively cheaper, resulting in excess use of those services under regulation. Also, inflexibility of adjusting regulated prices to the overall price changes results in deterioration of qualities of public services. This paper proposes a set of reform proposals which are itnended to minimize such government failures. It is argued that the authority of price regulation should be decentralized, and ultimately done by independent regulatory commissions for each service. The pricing should be based on the principle of separate and independent accounting by each service unit and the principle of beneficiaries bearing the costs of services.

  • 우리의 언어생활을 비추어 볼 때 한자어 정보처리는 많은 연구가 이루어야 함에도 불구하고 고유어 언구에 비해 소흘해 다루어져 왔다. 본 연구는 단일 한자어를 구성하는 각 음절이 단어의 재인에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 점화과제를 통하여 알아보았다. 본 실험은 기존의 한자어 연구에 빈도특성과 고유어와 외래어의 글자특성까지 고려하여 종합적으로 살펴보았다. 먼저 실험1의 어휘판단관제에서는 고유어와 한자어의 양상이 비슷하며 외래어는 다른 처리를 하는 것으로 드러났다. 고유어와 한자어는 빈도에 따라 영향을 받지만 외래어는 빈도의 영향에 변함없이 일정하게 나타났다. 이런 결과는 한국인은 고유어와 한자어를 동일한 양상으로 처리하며 이런 이유는 외래어의 한국어와는 다른 음운규칙이나 음절규칙의 영향으로 해석할 수 있겠다. 실험 2에서는 한자어 형태소와 의미적으로 유사한 조건(강도-강력)과 철자적 유사 조건(강도-강변), 고유어 유사 조건(강도-강정)조건을 점화과제를 이용하여 어휘판단을 하게 하였다. 실험 결과 모든 조건이 통제조건에 비하여 빠르게 나왔다. 그리고 의미적 유사 조건이 촉진적 점화효과를 일으키고, 철자적 유사조건은 억제 효과를 일으켰으며 고유어는 특이하게도 판단시간이 빠르게 나와 한자어와는 다른 처리과정이 있음을 보여주고 있다. 이런 결과는 지연조건에서도 동일하게 일어나고 있다. 이런 결과는 한자어는 어휘접근 이후에도 실험의 과제 특성상 한자어 형태소는 단어 수준 아래 위치하기는 힘든 반면, 고유어는 단어 수준 아래에 존재한다고 할 수 있다. 결국 한자어와 고유어는 기본적으로 외래어와 다른 처리를 보이면 한자어와 고유어 내에서도 한자어는 단어접근 전에 의미접근의 단계를 거쳐야 하지만 고유어는 각 음절이 형태소가 아니기 때문에 바로 어휘에 접근하는 것이라고 할 수 있겠다.ulic geometry and sediment transport has been applied to: (1) gravel-bed transport measurements in a cobble-bed stream at Little Granite Creek, Wyoming; (2) sand and gravel transport by size fraction in the sharp meander bends of Fall River, Colorado; (3) changes in sand dune geometry and resistance to flow during major floods of the Rhine River in the Netherlands; (4) changes in hydraulic geometry of the Rio Grande downstream of Cochiti Dam, New Mexico; and (5) analysis of the influence of water temperature and the Coriolis force on flow velocity and sediment transport of the Lower Mississippi River in Louisiana. What is the masculinity of Korean men? Concept mapping of masculinity (한국 남성의 남자다움은 무엇인가?: 남성성에 대한 개념도 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that constitute masculine norms of masculine in Korean society. The definition of masculinity was to conform to the male-dominated standard formed socially and culturally. The results of in-depth interviews with 20 male participants were used for a concept mapping analysis to explore the configural representations of Korean masculine norms. After extracting the key sentences related to masculine norms, the participants sorted the 55 key sentences based on similarities and assessed the importance, which was then analyzed with multidimensional scaling method and cluster analysis. The result showed two dimensions, one representing social-personal domain and the other implying dominance-support domain as well as six clusters of caregiver, leadership, emotion suppression, job ability and organizational social adaptation, Expects the masculine abilities, power and control. Finally, the implications of this study, limitations, and the suggestions for future research were discussed.

The Effect of the Program of Ecological Experience on the Emotional Intelligence of Young Children (생태체험 프로그램 활동이 유아의 정서지능 향상에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to inquire into the changes to the emotional intelligence of young children by giving them pleasure and memory through the program of ecological experience. A survey was made on 40 young children in two classes out of 5-year-old children's classes in nurseries located at Chungcheong-do. They were divided into the experiment group and control group to consist of 20 persons, respectively. For young children of the experiment group, the experiment was conducted while observing and experiencing through the division of the group into 5 persons on fixed days according to the program of ecological experience. Analysis showed that the program of ecological experience in the experiment group relatively higher effect of increase for the emotional intelligence of young children, and the use of self emotion, the cognition and consideration of other's emotion, the cognition and expression of self emotion, the regulation and impulse control of emotion, the relationship with teacher and the relationship with peer by sub-factors than that in the control group. In other words, close relationships with nature and inquiry instruction of ecological experience have provided the attitude-based formation living together with the understanding of natural world and eco-friendly attitude, the cognition of ecological crisis and social cooperation that couldn't feel in indoor education. Consequently, the program of ecological experience should prove useful for the emotional intelligence of young children.

Invulnerable negative compatibility effect for direction of colored double-headed arrows (색을 가진 이중 부등호에서 방향에 대한 견고한 부적 일치 효과)

  • Researchers have shown the negative compatibility effect (NCE) consistently using arrows. However, they provided inconsistent interpretations about the reason why the NCE happens. The purpose of the present study is to test the factors suggested to be critical for the NCE including automatic inhibition, updated information and top-down control. Presented with arrays of masked prime and targets composed of colored double-headed arrows, participants demonstrated invulnerable NCE on the basis of direction of arrows in the judgment of direction with corresponding hands (Experiment 1), with reverse-mapping hands (Experiment 2) and even in the color-judgment task (Experiment 3). These results imply that the main sources of NCE might be perceptual dominance and inherent properties of stimuli and responses; this contrasts with previously proposed explanations.

The Effect of Invisible Cue on Change Detection Performance: using Continuous Flash Suppression (시각적으로 자각되지 않는 단서자극이 변화 탐지 수행에 미치는 효과: 연속 플래시 억제를 사용하여)

  • The present study investigated the effect size of attention and consciousness on change detection. We confirmed the effect size of consciousness by comparing the condition which combined attention and consciousness and the condition of attention without consciousness. Then, we confirmed the effect size of attention by comparing the condition of attention without consciousness and the control condition which excluded attention and consciousness. For this purpose, change detection task and continuous flash suppression (CFS) were used. CFS renders a highly visible image invisible. In CFS, one eye is presented with a static stimulus, while the other eye is presented with a series of rapidly changing stimuli, such as mondrian patterns. The result is that the static stimulus becomes suppressed from conscious awareness by the stimuli presented in the other eye. We used a customized device with smartphone and google cardboard instead of stereoscope to trigger CFS. In Experiment 1-1, we reenacted some study to validate our experimental setup. Our experimental setup produced the duration of stimulus suppression that were similar to those of preceding research. In Experiment 1-2, we reenacted a study for attention without consciousness using an customized device. The results showed that attention without consciousness more strongly work as a cue. We think that it is reasonable to use CFS treatment employing smartphone and google cardboard for a follow-up study. In Experiment 2, when performing the change detection task, we measured the effect size of consciousness and attention by manipulating the consciousness level of cue. We used the method in which everything but the variable of interest kept being fixed. That way, the difference this independent variable makes to the action of the entire system can be isolated. We found that there was significant difference of correct response rate on change detection performance among different consciousness level of cue. In this study, we investigated that not only the role of attention and consciousness were different also we were able to estimated the effect size.

A Study on Strengthening Consequence Management System Against CBRN Threats (CBRN 위협에 대비한 사후관리체계 강화방안)

  • North Korea declared itself complete with nuclear force after its sixth nuclear test in 2017. Despite efforts at home and abroad to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula, the prospects for the denuclearization are not bright. Along with political and diplomatic efforts to deter NK's WMD threats, the government is required to strengthen its consequence management capabilities against 'catastrophic situations' expected in case of emergency. Accordingly, this study was conducted to present measures to strengthen follow-up management against CBRN threats. The research model was partially supplemented and utilized by the THIRA process adopted and utilized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security among national-level disaster management plan development models. Korea's consequence management (CM) system encompasses risk and crisis management on disaster condition. The system has been carried out in the form of a civil, government and military integrated defense operations for the purpose of curbing the spread or use of CBRNs, responding to threats, and minimizing expected damages. The preventive stage call for the incorporation of CBRN concept and CM procedures into the national management system, supplementing the integrated alarm systems, preparation of evacuation facilities, and establishment of the integrated training systems. In the preparation phase, readjustment of relevant laws and manuals, maintenance of government organizations, developing performance procedures, establishing the on-site support systems, and regular training are essential. In the response phase, normal operations of the medical support system for first aid and relief, installation and operation of facilities for decontamination, and development of regional damage assessment and control guidelines are important. In the recovery phase, development of stabilization evaluation criteria and procedures, securing and operation of resources needed for damage recovery, and strengthening of regional damage recovery capabilities linked to local defense forces, reserve forces and civil defense committees are required.

In Vitro Regulation of DOC-1 Gene Expression in Uterine Endometrial Cells (체외 배양된 자궁내막세포에서의 DOC-1 유전자의 발현 조절)

  • Implantation of blastocyst into the uterine endometrium is established by the existence of histologically and functionally prepared uterine endometrium. Doc-1, an oral cancer suppressor gene, is expressed under the control of steroid hormones and has been suggested as a proliferation regulator of endometrial cells. However, the role is not much clear and in this study we examined the expression modulation of Doc-1 in decidualizing cells in vitro. In vitro decidualization was performed in endometrial stroma cells using progesterone and estrogen. Until 24 hr after decidual induction the proliferation of stroma cell was significantly increased but decreased after then. On the other hand, most of the cells differentiated into decidual cell after 48 hr of induction. The Doc-1 protein was co-localized in a specific deciudal cells and colocalization rate was increased in a parallel manner with the induction time. Based on these results, it is suggested that Doc-1 expression is under the control of both steroid hormones and decidual signals, and Doc-1 protein is involved in suppression of the proliferation of decidualizing cells.
