제 2 언어 습득에서 유아의 영어 문해 능력에 영향을 미치는 변인 연구 : 그림책 읽기에서 어머니의 언어적 행동을 중심으로 (A Study of Factors Influencing Preschoolers' Emergent English as a Second Language Literacy Skills : Maternal Language Behavior in Picture Book Reading)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the factors influencing preschoolers' emergent English as a second language literacy skills in terms of maternal language behavior in Korean and English picture book reading. This study was also conducted in order to identify the pathways of each factor. The subjects consisted of 201 mothers and their 3~5 year-old children from middle income families living in Seoul, Incheon, Gyyounggi-do, and Chungcheongbuk-do. The results indicated that the factors influencing preschoolers' emergent English as a second language literacy skills acquisition were as follows : maternal beliefs about the value of picture book reading, the child's level of interest in picture book reading, the time spent on picture book reading and maternal language behavior during picture book reading activities. The results further indicate that it is important that the mother shares desirable language interaction with her children in their native language while reading not only Korean but also English picture books when aiming to improve preschoolers' emergent English literacy skills.

여성 청소년 어머니의 인유두종바이러스 예방접종 예측요인 (Predictors of Human Papillomavirus Vaccination of female Adolescent mothers)

  • 본 연구는 건강신념모델을 근거로 인유두종바이러스(human papillomavirus: HPV) 예방접종 행위 모형의 적합도를 검증하고자 시도되었다. 연구 대상자는 여성 청소년 어머니 285명이며, 자료 수집은 2017년 6월부터 9월까지 하였다. 자료는 SPSS 및 AMOS 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 여성 청소년 어머니의 지각된 유익성은 의도를 완전 매개하여 예방접종 행위에 영향을 주고, 지각된 장애성은 의도를 부분 매개하여 예방접종 행위에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 예방접종 의도는 예방접종 행위를 예측하는 중요한 변수였고 지각된 장애성은 예방접종 행위에 가장 큰 영향요인으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 여성 청소년 어머니의 HPV 예방접종 과정의 이해를 증진시키고 예방접종률을 높이는 새로운 전략 개발에 도움이 될 것이다.

영아무상보육에 대한 보육교사들의 태도 분석 (An Analysis on Childcare Teachers' Attitudes Towards Free Childcare for Infants)

  • 본 연구는 영아의 어린이집 이용에 대한 보육교사들의 태도를 탐색하고, 이들의 보육신념을 분석하여 영아무상보육에 대한 보완 및 개선점을 제시하였다. 연구참여자는 영아반 보육교사 26명이며, 자료수집을 위해 개별심층면접을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 영아반 보육교사들은 취업모의 어린이집 이용을 불가피한 것으로 여기지만 전업주부의 어린이집 이용에 대해서는 부정적인 태도를 보였다. 연구참여자들은 영아무상보육 이후 어린이집을 이용하는 영아의 양적팽창과 함께 어머니들이 주양육자로서 수행해야하는 역할을 공보육에 의존하는 경향이 높아졌다고 지적하였다. 보육교사들은 영아기에 적합한 양육환경에 대한 신념을 밝히면서, 영아의 주양육자로서 어머니가 수행해야하는 역할의 중요성을 강조하였다. 또한, 어린이집을 이용하는 어머니와 보육교사 간의 양육 파트너십이 양질의 보육에 필수적임을 설명하고, "제2의 어머니"로서 영아반 보육교사의 정체성을 피력하였다. 본 연구는 영아무상보육 시행 이후 서비스 제공의 핵심 주체인 보육교사들이 보육현장에서 경험한 변화들을 분석함으로써 향후 개선되어야 할 방향을 제시하는 것에 의의가 있다.

  • 본 연구는 존 그린리프 위티어의 반노예제 시를 분석하려는 시도이다. 독실한 퀘이커 교도인 위티어는 19세기에 만연한 노예제를 비판했다. 그의 활동은 종교적 신념에 기반한 것이었다. 노예폐지운동에 언론인 등으로 참여했던 위티어는 1830년대부터 1860년대 중반까지 집중적으로 반노예제시를 썼다. 「버지니아 노예 어머니의 이별」은 남부로 팔려간 딸에게 느끼는 노예 어머니의 비통한 심정을 묘사하며 독자의 공감을 유도한다. 「매사추세츠에서 버지니아로」에서 화자는 버지니아의 도덕적 타락에 비통해 하면서 노예를 노예주로 되돌려보내는 것을 거부한다. 「마침내 오르다」는 떠오르는 달을 정치적, 사회적 상징으로 사용하면서, 도주 노예법의 통과를 찬양한다. 남북 전쟁 이후에 작시된 「평화의 가을」은 노예 해방이 선포된 후 평화로운 상황을 묘사한다. 위티어의 노력은 노예해방 운동과 문학에 기여한 바가 크다.

유아의 가정문해환경실태 및 어머니의 문해신념과 실천과의 관계 (Analysis of Mothers' Beliefs and Practices for Children's Literacy Acquisition at Home)

  • This study analyzed mothers' beliefs and practices for children's literacy acquisition by investigating the actual conditions of the literacy environment at home. The aim of this study is to understand what mothers believe about literacy, to recognize that children's literacy development is attained by activities done at home, and to provide basic data about parents' roles and guides for the development of a literacy education program for mothers and literacy development for children. As results of this study will show firstly that the actual conditions of the literacy environment for children at home begin before children are six months old, as most of mothers read to their children 2 or 3 times per week for more than 40-50 minutes. In addition, the study illustrate significant differences in mothers' literacy beliefs and practices according to the age of each child and the mothers educational background. A Third point that will be outlined is the way in which the developmental literacy belief among mothers' beliefs was related to the constructions and practices of mothers literacy environment. finally, the study will look at the influence of developmental literacy belief among mothers beliefs on practices of mothers literacy environments.

취업신념 측정척도 개발과 타당화 연구 (The Development and Validity of a Scale to Evaluate Maternal Beliefs Regarding Employment)

  • This study was conducted to develop a scale to evaluate maternal beliefs regarding employment and to demonstrate its validity. The subjects in the study included 225 mothers in Suncheon who had children under the age of 5. Initially, the definitions of beliefs associated with employment presented in previous studies were examined, after which the existing scale, Beliefs about the Consequence Maternal Employment for Young Children (BACMEC), was modified based the advice of three experts in child study. Next, 35 mothers who had preschool children were interviewed to assess their views on the positive and negative aspects of maternal employment. After excluding overlapping contents, a scale composed of 50 questions (24questions adapted from questions on the BACMEC and 26 created based on the results of the interview) was generated. Based on the result of factor and regression analysis, 27 (15questions regarding positive aspects of employment and 12 regarding negative aspects of employment) of the 50 questions were selected for use as the new scale. Reliability analysis showed satisfactory results (Cronbach's $\alpha$ = .89-.92). In conclusion, it is hoped that the scale for maternal beliefs in employment developed in this study will be used as a useful measurement tool in future studies conducted to evaluate maternal employment.

교육 참여에 대한 어머니의 동기적 신념과 부모-교사 관계가 유아의 학습관련기술에 미치는 영향 (Mother's Motivational Beliefs in the Context of the Child Education and Parent-Teacher Relationship and the Impact on the Learning Related Skills of Young Children)

  • The purpose of this research was to explore the influence of a mother's motivational beliefs in the context of the child education and parent-teacher relationship and the impact that it has on the learning related skills of young children. The participants in this study consisted of 243 mothers of 4~5 years old children and 20 teachers in 5 child education centers located in Seoul, Korea. The data was analyzed by means of using statistical method such as mean, standard deviation, t-test, Pearson correlation, and stepwise regression. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, there were significant differences between parent-teacher relationship and learning related skills of young children according to the children's sex and maternal educational level. Second, children's sex, maternal educational level, and the parent-teacher relationship were significantly related with the learning related skills of young children. Last, mother's motivational beliefs in the context of child education and the parent-teacher relationship directly influenced the learning related skills of young children. The results of this study suggest that positive parent-teacher relationships are important for developing the learning related skills of young children and this in turn can predict the level of children's adjustment and success in school.

영아를 위한 어머니의 로타바이러스 예방접종 이행과 관련 요인: 건강신념모형을 중심으로 (Factors Associated with Rotavirus Vaccination Behavior among Mothers of Infants: using the Health Belief Model)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the sociodemographic characteristics and health belief related to rotavirus vaccination behavior among mothers of infants. Methods: Data collection was performed through an on-line survey between 13 and 16 October, 2016, and the subjects targeted were 240 mothers with infants between the ages of 8 months and 12 months. The collected data were analyzed using $X^2$ test, Fisher's Exact test, ANOVA, and Logistic Regression with SPSS 23.0 program. Results: The complete rotavirus vaccination rate was 76.7%, the incomplete vaccination rate was 9.2%, and the non-vaccination rate was 14.2%. Factors associated with complete rotavirus vaccination were the mother's age (OR=3.306, 95% CI=1.087 to 10.054), the perceived benefits (OR=6.500, 95% CI=2.163 to 19.528) and the self-efficacy (OR=11.568, 95% CI=2.921 to 45.818), and approximately 40.8% of explanation power was observed. Conclusion: To increase the rotavirus vaccination rate, counseling and education by nurses should be performed to increase the self-efficacy and public awareness of the benefits of rotavirus vaccination for mothers with infants.

어머니의 양육신념이 아동의 주관적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 경로 탐색 : 아동의 사교육 경험 및 스트레스의 매개적 역할 (Exploring Pathways from Mothers' Beliefs to Children's Subjective Well-Being : The Mediating Effects of Children's Private After-School Education and Stress Levels)

  • This study explored pathways from mothers' beliefs to children's subjective well-being through children's private after-school activities and stress levels. A sample of 230 6th grade elementary school students (125 boys and 105 girls) in Seoul completed questionnaires on children's stress and subjective well-being. Their mothers responded to questionnaires on mothers' beliefs and children's private after-school activities. Data were analyzed by means of Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression analyses. Our results demonstrated that mothers' beliefs indirectly influenced children's subjective well-being through both children's private after-school activities and stress levels. Neither children's private after-school activities nor children's stress mediated between mothers' beliefs and children's subjective well-being. Mothers' beliefs also had a direct effect on children's subjective well-being. Significantly, both mothers' beliefs and children's stress played crucial roles in improving children's subjective well-being.

유아 조기특기교육의 실태와 어머니 양육신념과의 관계 (Relationship between the Actual State of Extra Curricula Education for Kindergarteners and Maternal Beliefs Regarding Child Rearing)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the relationship between the actual state of extra curricula education for kindergarteners and maternal beliefs regarding child rearing. This study included 238 mothers who had a child that was either four or five years old and currently attending private kindergarten in Seoul, Korea. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1) 222 of the subjects indicated that their children participated early in extra curricula education, and 56 of the respondents reported that their children were involved in four types of extra curricula education. 2) In general, the respondents indicated that they felt extra curricula activities were more important for instilling values regarding humanity to children of very young ages than for learning and that the environment in which a child is raised is more important than maturity when rearing children. 3) Parental beliefs regarding humanity and learning were significantly correlated with the actual state of extra curricula education in kindergarteners.
