New Methodology about the Criteria for Appointing School Zones (어린이보호구역 지정 기준의 방법론 제시에 관한 연구)

  • Police agency is indicated that the number of children's traffic accident is tending downwards, however about one child is dead every day due to traffic accident. Major parts of the accidents happen during walking; among the rest, jaywalking is the biggest reason. Many accidents take plate on the road to school or near the home so government legislate children safeguard zone at 1995. According to the legislation, drivers have to reduce speed and there are safety facilities for children at children safeguard zone. This study finds the problems of children safeguard zone and suggest more effective and quantitative method for children safeguard zone. Firstly this study grasps the characters of children's pattern movement and children's traffic accident at children safeguard zone and then divides specific danger factors of children's traffic accident at children safeguard zone. Secondly, each factor is given danger level depending on danger degree and suggests effective method for assignment standard of children safeguard zone using all of these things.

  • 본 논문에서는 통학버스에서의 안전사고에 관련된 여러 사례 중 출입문의 끼임을 방지하기 위하여 통학버스에 영상장치와 전원센서를 부착, 사각지대를 없애고 운전자에게 경보음으로 사고를 미연에 방지하고자 하는 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 출입문의 배경영상을 적용적으로 수집하고 실시간으로 수집되는 영상과 배경영상을 차 연산 하여 문의 끼임을 인식한다. 실험결과 문에 대해서 끼임이 검출되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 어린이통학버스 안전사고 예방을 위한 지능형 탑승객 모니터링 시스템을 개발한다. 지능형 탑승객 모니터링은 통학버스 내 설치된 카메라로 부터 촬영되는 영상을 실시간으로 분석한 후 통학버스 내 발생할 수 있는 다양한 이벤트를 운전자 또는 교사에게 적시에 통보하여 잠재적 안전사고를 지능적으로 회피할 수 있도록 지원하는 시스템을 말한다. 제안한 시스템은 Yolov4, DeepSort, MediaPipe등의 인공지능 관련 SW기술을 활용하여 영상을 분석한 후 싸움과 같은 이상행동, 정차 후 잔류 인원 발생, 하차자와 차량 간의 안전거리 확보 여부를 포함하는 3가지 이벤트를 인식한 후 운전자 또는 교사에게 알림을 제공한다.

A Development of Criteria for Evaluating School Zone by Utilizing Analytic Network Process (네트워크분석법(ANP)을 이용한 어린이보호구역 평가항목 개발)

  • This study choose the Criteria by conducting survey questionnaire of expertise, ANP analysis, and reviewing literature to samples of School Zone in a synthetic and reasonable way. It draws the estimating factors including a variety of existing aspects (user, facility, operation and management, and education and institution) from the analyses and applies ANP to reflect the decision making process. The results show as follows: first, first level of weights presents proportion of 'facility' and 'user' takes 65% of total weights. It implies that the facility protects children from obstacles is the top priority of the settings. second, the second level of weights present similar importance with the first level. Facility management, road to school, surroundings, safety facility, decelerating facility hold approximately 72% of overall levels. This indicates that improving and repairing surroundings, and safety and decelerating facility are the first priority to consider. These estimating indicators will be properly utilized to rationally appoint prevention zone with reflecting various factors and social class.

A Study on the Solution of School Zone Problems (어린이 보호구역의 문제점 및 대책에 관한 연구 - 광주광역시 남구를 중심으로 -)

  • 본 논문은 학교 권역의 도로 및 교통요건을 조사하여 어린이 보호구역의 지정 및 관리기준의 적용 실태와 문제점 등을 분서하며, 어린이 보호구역의 조성기준을 적정화하고 체계적인 대책을 수립하는데 목적이 있다. 먼저 어린이 보호구역의 이론적 고찰을 통해 어린이 보호구역이 지정·관리기준 및 외국의 School Zone 사례를 살펴보았다. 현재 어린이 보호구역으로 지정·관리되고 있는 광주시 남구의 14개 초등학교를 대상으로 어린이 보호구역별 도로 및 교통현황과 함께 적용되고 있는 어린이 보호구역의 지정 범위 및 교통규제, 중요안전 시설물의 설치현황 등을 조사하였다. 또 연도주민의 설문을 통해 보행의 안전성과 교통사고의 위험성 등을 조사·분석하였다. 그 결과 12m 이하의 이면도로가 전체대상 통학로의 64.6%에 해당되며, 2차로 이상의 도로는 35.4%로서 이면도로에 접하는 초등학교가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 또 교통규제방안으로 시행되고 잇는 것은 8개 초등학교의 시차별 주차규제와 4개 초등학교의 총 10개의 과속방지턱이 설치되어 있을 뿐이다. 또한 설문을 통해 보행환경의 위험성을 분석한 결과 차량의 속도와 주차차량에 의한 통행 방해나 사고위험을 가장 많이 인식함에 따라 그에 따른 안전시설의 추가 설치가 뒤따라야 하겠다. 이러한 어린이 보호구역에서의 어린이나 보행자의 안전성과 쾌적성을 증진시키기 위해서는 무엇보다도 안전시설의 설치에 따른 유지 및 관리가 중요하다.

  • 최근 자동차 산업의 활성화로 인해 자동차 이용자 수가 증가하고 교통사고가 문제화되면서 사고를 최소화시키고 미연에 방지할 수 있는 차량보조시스템 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 그 중 AVM 시스템은 차량 주변 상황을 실시간으로 제공하는 시스템으로 어린이 통학차량에 부착하여 교통사고를 최소화시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 DIO와 AVM 시스템을 접목시켜 차량의 문이 열리면 DIO를 통해 신호를 받고 모니터의 화면에 AVM 영상이 출력되는 시스템을 구현하여 어린이 통학차량의 교통사고를 최소화하였다.

Design of School Commuting System using Beacon (비콘을 활용한 통학 시스템 설계)

  • The incident during commuting to school happened frequently in these days, such that the government announced the student commuting safety policy for addressing to implement the safety management system of the unsafer school commuting zone. In this paper, a commuting tracking system is proposed that notifies the location of vehicles and the boarding status of student using BLE beacon and smart phone GPS function. The commuting tracking system that gets the data from the system server of driver's smart phone GPS location and UUID of the beacon which had provided students has configured to provide notifications to parents and related administrators. It provides real-time information about whether a student boarding, boarding times and bus locations for parents and administrators. It verifies the disembarking time for each student and also provides to driver to secure if any student tries to board the wrong school bus and if any students is left behind in the bus.

  • As the use of children's school buses increases, accidents caused by the negligence of school bus drivers and ride carers have also increased significantly. To prevent such accidents, the government is coming up with various policies. We propose an accident prevention and safety management system for children's school buses. Through this system, bus drivers can easily check whether each child is seated and whether the seat belt is used, so it is possible to quickly respond to children's conditions while driving. With the ability to recognize faces by analyzing camera images, children can use a seat belt that is automatically adjusted to their height. It is therefore possible to prevent secondary injuries that may occur in the event of a traffic accident. In addition, a sleeping child-check system is provided to confirm that all children get off the bus, and a text service is provided to inform parents of their children's locations in real time. Based on Raspberry Pi, the system is implemented with cameras, pressure sensors, motors, Bluetooth modules, and so on. This proposed system was attached to a bus model to confirm that the series of functions work correctly.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a scheme to provide children safer and more comfortable walking circumstances by survey current walking circumstances of school zone ways. First, to avoid pedestrian roads being interrupted and to expand waiting space near school zone ways, several measures are needed including fixing roads, using schools' unemployed spaces and building additional gateway. Second, pedestrian crossings in front of school gate should be located at least 23.16m away from the left side of the gate. Third, on narrow path which cross main streets, the interval of pedestrian signal should be extended as against of the moment. And traffic calming facilities should be built on accurate position. Fourth, to secure pedestrians' safety and field of view, trees lining streets and any obstacles located within 10m from bus stop sign should be removed. Finally, education system about school zone ways should be improved to help children get used to more complicated roads' conditions.

  • Accidents of commuting vehicles for kindergarteners and nursery school students continue to occur despite various safety policies from the government. In order to minimize such accidents, it is necessary to use both the vehicle-mounted safety commutation management software which can be easily operated by the driver, and the mobile app to manage the safe schooling of the children that can inform such information to parents timely. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of the safety management software architecture.
