  • 본 논문에서는 최근 IETF에서 표준화되고 있는 네트워크 기반 IPv6 이동성 프로토콜인 Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6)를 IEEE 802.16e 네트워크에 적용할 때에 고속으로 핸드오버를 처리함과 동시에 패킷 버퍼링을 통하여 패킷의 손실과 순서의 어긋남 문제를 해결하여 단말 사용자가 서로 다른 IP 네트워크를 옮겨다니더라도 그에 따르는 패킷손실이나 세션 끊김 현상을 최소화하는 기법을 제안한다.

Fatigue Life Analysis for Angular Contact Ball Bearing with Angular Misalignment (각 어긋남을 고려한 각접촉 볼베어링의 피로수명 해석)

  • Angular misalignment has a significant effect on the characteristics of angular contact ball bearings (ACBBs). This paper presents an analysis of fatigue life for ACBBs subjected to angular misalignment. A simulation model is developed with de Mul's bearing model and the ISO basic reference rating life model. Simulation is performed to calculate the life of the ACBBs subjected to angular misalignment. The numerical results show that angular misalignment influences the load distribution significantly, thus reducing the bearing rating life. The fatigue life of ACBBs is decreased by angular misalignment regardless of axial preload, external radial load and rotational speed. The results show that angular misalignment should be maintained at less than 1mrad for ACBBs.

  • 기존의 MIPv6는 오랜 시간동안의 핸드오버로 인하여 많은 패킷 손실 및 오랜 세션 단절을 야기시킨다. 이러한 문제점들을 향상시키기 위하여 Fast handover for Mobile IPv6 (FMIPv6) 프로토콜이 개발되었지만 여전히 터널링에 기반한 라우팅 방법은 패킷 순서 어긋남 문제로 인하여 성능이 하락하는 문제를 야기한다. 최근 모바일 단말에서의 이동성 관리 부하를 줄여주기 위하여, 네트워크 이동성 기반인 Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6)가 제안되었다. PMIPv6는 모바일 단말에서 수행하던 이동성 관리를 네트워크 에이전트에서 해줌으로서 단말의 부하를 줄이고 이동성 관리 지연 시간을 줄일 수 있다. 하지만 현재 제안된 PMIPv6 또한 터널링 기법에 기반한 비효율적인 라우팅 경로로 인하여 성능이 저하될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 PMIPv6 에서 안정되고 향상된 최적화 라우팅 기술이 접목된 빠른 핸드오버 방법인 Fast Proxy Mobile IPv6 (EF-PMIPv6) 제안한다.

  • This study intends to provide an optimum design of flexible matrix composite driveshafts using a genetic algorithm. An objective function is defined as a combination of shaft flexibility, whirling stability and torsional buckling and the design variables are selected as ply angles and the shaft thickness. Results show that the genetic algorithm can successfully find an optimum solution at which the overall performance of the FMC shafts is significantly enhanced

  • This paper presents experimental results by using the machinery fault simulator which is monitoring its conditions with an acceleration signal. Components of the machinery, for example, motor, belt pulley, belt, bearing, and gear, with artificial defects were used for the experiment.

  • This research is to investigate the performance of a flexible matrix composite driveshaft with respect to shaft design parameters such as the number of layers, ply orientations, and material properties. A finite element formulation is utilized to estimate the allowable misalignment under given driving torque, the maximum temperature at steady states, and external damping for ensuring whirling stability under supercritical speed. Results indicate that the system performance can be greatly affected by the shaft laminate parameters, especially the ply orientations. Several sets of shaft parameters that will provide satisfactory overall system performance are derived.

  • 슬리브내에서 페룰을 통해 광섬유의 정렬이 이루어지는 광커넥터의 대부분의 접속구조에서 각 구성품간의 어긋남 비정렬요인이 중복되어 나타나게 되므로 접속손실이 매우 큰 영향을 받고 있다. 이러한 접속손실의 향상을 위해 선진 외국에서는 각 구성품의 정밀도 향상과 함께 구성품의 저손실화 조립연구도 수행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 광섬유 출사면에서의 최대 광도부분을 회전조정하여 최소영역에서 두 광섬유가 정렬, 접속되게 하는 저손실화 조립 장치 개발과 관련하여, 임의로 조립된 상태와 본 연구에서 제안한 적응 제어 알고리즘 (Adaptive Control Algorithm)을 이용하여 광Intensity의 최대부분을 회전조정한 상태와의 삽입손실의 통계적 분포를 비교.분석하였다.

  • The steel wheels are widely used in the passenger cars because of their low cost of production although the aluminum wheels have many advantages in their performance and appearance. It is known that the steering wheel vibration with steel wheels is generated more often than one with aluminum wheels. Both the constant velocity driving test and the m up test are carried out in this study to analyze the causes and path of the steering wheel vibration generated from the steel wheels. And this study shows that the steering wheel vibration is affected by the fastening torque of the wheel mounting bolts between the steel wheel and the suspension disk.

  • Mobile nodes in FHMIPv6 has both advantages of HMIPv6 protocol which reduces signaling delay time and resource consumption during a handover and fast handover algorithm which reduces packet loss. Fast handover algorithm can reduce packet loss by 'tunneling' method ; that transmits a packet from old access router to new access router in case of handover. However, the fast handover algorithm can cause a reordering problem in a receiver between packets tunneled from the previous access router and packets transmitted directly to the new access router, which could degrade the TCP performance due to congestion control. In this paper, we propose two algorithms to solve the reordering problem in fast handover. The first one uses a holding timer for tunneling, the other adds a new algorithm to routers that adopt snoop protocol. We compare the performance of the proposed reseuquencing algorithms with that of the existing FHMIPv6 protocol by simulation. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithms solve the reordering problems and enhance TCP performance by preventing TCP sender entering congestion control.

Construction Methodology for Chum-Sung-Dae Validation through the Present Configuration (첨성대 건립에 대한 시공방법론 첨성대의 얼개를 통한 논증)

  • A new construction methodology has been proposed on a scientific basis to reason a rational explanation for the structure and the present configuration of Chum-Sung-Dae. This is because there is no way to otherwise explain the gap between our expectation that the people in Shilla are assumed to be and the problems, such as the use of a temporary supporting structure including falsework, the use of a conveying device for stonework and the practice of soil fill, raised when the construction method in nowadays is applied to the structure. Furthermore, it is because the questions, such as the difference of an azimuth angle between the southward opening and the square podium, the skewed circular plan in layers of the body, misalignment between neighboring layers of the body, disagreement between the inclination due to slight sidesway and the eccentricity in each layer of the circular body, perfectly aligned vertical and horizontal joints and the existence of soil fill, raised from the present configuration of Chum-Sung-Dae, also require a reasonable explanation based on scientific evidences, if any. Therefore, the proposed new construction methodology, in which the soil hill outside as well as the soil fill inside the Chum-Sung-Dae may have been utilized as a temporary scaffolding system for construction, is the highly probable one that the builders of Chum-Sung-Dae might have inevitably employed. The existence of great tombs, scattered in Hwang-Nam-Dong close to Chum-Sung-Dae, implies that the people of Shilla might have accepted the proposed new construction methodology as a natural one.
