부모-자녀 독서상호작용 프로그램 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of a Parent-Child Reading Interaction Program)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate a parent-child reading interaction program. Based on the importance of the parent-child relationship and the home literacy environment vis-a-vis the extent to which reading is encouraged, and with regard to the existing empirical research in this field, a five-session parent-child reading interaction program has been developed, targeting 18 parents with children enrolled in th lower grades of elementary school. The effectiveness of this program has been evaluated by a pretest and post test and then analyzed by a paired t-test. The findings are as follows: 1) Following the implementation of this program, there were improvements in scores related to the home literacy environment, the encouragement of reading, and the attitude of the child toward reading. 2) In addition, there was an increase in the level of the mother's "rational guidance" parenting while tendencies toward overprotective and hostile parenting traits declined. The importance of the parent-child relationship and home literacy environment concerning reading guidance was discussed.

한국의 여성과 어린이 건강 - 실태와 전략 - (Women and Children's Health Care in Korea: Status and Strategies)

  • 여성건강은 개인 뿐만 아니라 가족, 사회, 국가적으로 대단히 중요하다. 왜냐하면 미래사회의 자원인 인간을 출산하고 양육하는 것과 직접적으로 관련이 있기 때문이다. 여성은 스스로 자신의 몸을 지키고 건강행위를 위한 결정을 할 수 있어야 한다. 특히 출산과 관련하여 여성은 자신의 건강을 유지 증진 할 수 있는 능력이 있어야 한다. 한나라의 발전수준은 모자보건의 수준으로 결정하며 영아 사망률과 모성사망률은 국가 발전의 수준을 대표한다. 본 연구는 한국의 여성과 어린이 건강 실태를 살펴보았다. 모성사망률과 영아사망률은 여성의 산전간호 수진률의 증가와 영아 예방접종률의 증가로 점차 감소하고 있다. 그러나 모유수유률의 감소와 영아의 사고발생률이 증가하는 것은 자라나는 어린이의 건강을 위협한다. 어린이 사고는 환경과 돌보는 어른들의 부주의에 의해서 발생되는 경우가 대부분이므로 어린이 사고를 방지하고 모유수유률을 증가시키는 예방전략이 필요하다. 여성의 흡연, 음주, 약물의 사용이 증가하는 것과 여성폭력이 증가하는 것은 여성건강을 위협하는 중요한 요인이다. 또한 식습관 장애와 같은 잘못된 건강행위는 여성의 건강을 위협할 뿐 아니라 자녀출산에도 부정적인 영향을 미친다. 여성과 어린이의 건강을 유지 증진하기 위해서는 여성이 여성으로서의 인식을 가지고 건강관리기관을 찾고 건강관리를 할 수 있는 능력을 가져야 한다. 그러므로 간호사를 비롯한 의료인은 여성이 스스로 판단하고 결정하고 자가간호 할 수 있는 힘과 의지와 정보를 제공해야 한다. 이를 위해 여성건강전문간호사가 필요하다. 또한 국가와 사회단체(NGO)가 함께 여성건강이 국가적인 사업임을 인식하고 지원과 관심을 기울여야 한다.

가정환경의 질과 아버지의 양육참여가 취학 전 유아의 학교준비도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Home Environment Quality and Father's Parenting Participation on School Readiness of Preschool Children)

  • This study investigated the effect of home environment quality and fathers' parenting participation on school readiness of preschool children. The subjects were 101 5-years old children, mothers and teachers at child care centers located in the Gyeonggi area. Home environment quality was measured using a 'Korean Home Environment' questionnaire. Parenting participation by fathers was measured by 'Scale for Productive Roles of Fathers of Children in Their Early Childhood.' Lastly, the children's school readiness measured the 'School Readiness Inventory.' Collected data were analyzed using t-test, correlation analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression. The results of the study showed that the school readiness of preschool children differed by gender. The score of girls' school readiness was higher than boys' school readiness. Such difference was apparent in the school readiness areas of general knowledge, mathematical knowledge, and adjustment. There was a positive correlation between age and the school readiness of preschool children. An increase in children's age also increased school readiness in the areas of linguistic knowledge, mathematical knowledge, and adjustment. Home environment quality and fathers' parenting participation directly influenced the school readiness of preschool children. The pattern of the results suggests that a desirable home environment and fathers' contribution in the family for children are critical components to prepare preschool children for elementary school.

유아의 사회도덕성에 대한 유아 연령 및 아버지 양육참여의 영향 (The Effects of Children's Age and Fathers' Childrearing Involvement on the Social Morality of Young Children)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of children's age and their fathers' childrearing involvement on the social morality of young children. Methods: The data were gathered from parents who had 3-5 year old children enrolled in daycare centers and from their daycare teachers. The parents answered questions about their children's socio-demographic background and the father's childrearing involvement. And the teachers rated children's social morality. The data from a total of 245 questionnaires were analyzed by SPSS 25.0. Results: First, there was a statistically significant difference between young children's morality score and convention score. Young children's morality scores were higher than their convention scores. Second, children's age was a significant influential factor on both their moral and conventional social morality. Third, father's care-discipline had the only impact on children's conventional social morality. That is, children's social morality was higher when their fathers gave them more care and guidance. Forth, an interaction effect between children's age and father's development-support on children's conventional social morality was found. Conclusion/Implications: The results from this study suggest that a differentiated approach is needed according to the types of childrearing involvement of fathers in order to improve children's social morality.

아동의 행복감에 대한 부모양육태도 및 부모와 대화시간의 영향 (The Influence of Parenting Attitudes and Conversation Hours Between Parent and Child on Children's Happiness)

  • Objective: This study examined the main effects and interaction effect of parenting attitudes and conversation hours between parent and child, by focusing on parental influence among factors impacting children's happiness. Methods: This study used the data from 2,578 fourth grade elementary school students from the first waves of the Korean Child Youth Panel Study(KCYPS) 2018. The data were analyzed using correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis. Results: First, there was a significant corelation between children's happiness and socio-economic variables such as parental education level, family's income, and family type. Second, it was found that the main effect of all sub-factors of parenting attitude and conversation hours between parent and child on children's happiness was statistically significant. Third, only the interaction effect between structural parenting attitude and parent-child conversation hours was statistically significant. That is, children who had more conversations with parents with structural parenting attitudes providing guidelines ware reported to be particularly happy. Conclusion/Implications: This study is meaningful in examining overall quantitative and qualitative effects of the relationship between parent and child to understand parental factors impacting children's happiness.

녹음된 엄마목소리 들려주기가 극소저체중출생아의 생리적 반응, 수면행동상태 및 체중에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Hearing Recorded Mother's Voice on Physiological Reactions and Behavioral State of Sleep, Weight of Very Low Birth Weight Infants)

  • 목적 본 연구는 신생아중환자실에 입원해 있는 극소저체중출생아를 대상으로 녹음된 엄마목소리 들려주기 중재의 효과를 규명하기 위해 수행되었다. 방법 부산시내에 소재하는 D대학교의료원의 신생아중환자실에 입원한 대상자를 임의표출하여 비동등성 대조군 전후설계로 총 22명의 영아중 실험군 11명, 대조군 11명을 대상으로 하여 본 연구를 실시하였다. 결과 녹음된 엄마 목소리 들려주기를 제공받은 극소저체중출생아의 생리적 반응인 심박동수, 호흡수와 산소포화도에서 실험군과 대조군 사이에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 수면행동상태는 실험군이 대조군보다 안정된 상태를 보였다. 또한 일일체중증가의 변화량이 실험군에서 더 높은 경향을 보였다. 하지만 두 군 간에 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 결론 본 연구를 통해 극소저체중출생아 자기 엄마의 녹음된 엄마목소리 들려주기는 극소저체중출생아의 초기 양육환경 조성에 매우 긍정적인 프로그램임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 입원기간 동안 영아와 부모 사이의 상호작용 증진의 기회를 제공하여 극소저체중출생아 돌봄에 엄마의 적극적인 참여를 유도할 수 있다는 점에서 아동간호 실무 발전에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영아의 건강증진을 위한 부모역할교육 프로그램의 효과에 관한 연구 -생후 12개월의 결과를 중심으로- (The Study on the Effects of Parent Role Education Program for infants' health promotion - Focusing on the twelve-months results -)

  • This longitudinal quasi-experimental research was conducted to develop parent role education program and to evaluate the effect of this program for mother-infant interaction, childrearing environment and infant development. The subjects were the healthy infants weighing over 2,500gm at birth, whose gestational age was more than 37weeks, and their healthy mothers. The sample consisted of eighteen mother-infant dyads for intervention group and sixteen dyads for control group. Data were collected from March 15th in 1999 to Jun 20th in 2000. The intervention group received programmed education consisted of discharge education, telephone counselling, and home visiting care. But control group were collected data without programmed education. In this study, the Nursing Child Assessment Teaching Scale(NCATS) devised by Barnard was used to determine the mother-infant interaction, HOME was used to determine the childrearing environment, and Griffiths mental development scale was used to determine the infant development. The data were analyzed using SPSS Win using chi-square test, t-test, and repeated measure ANOVA. This study was focused on the results of twelve months time point. Summaries of the results were as follows: 1. There was no significant difference in mother-infant interaction(NCATS) between intervention group and control group. But both of two groups showed significantly higher in interaction score at twelve months than at six months in the subscales of social-emotional growth fostering, and responsiveness to caregiver. 2. There was no significant difference in childrearing environment(HOME) between two groups at twelve months. But when each subscale of HOME was examined, intervention group showed higher scores in the dimensions of maternal involvement with child(p=.001), and maternal emotional-verbal responsivity(p=.048). 3. There was no significant difference in GQ of the Griffiths mental development scale between two groups, although significant difference was found in performance subscale. 4. Infant development at twelve months showed significant correlation with mother-infant interaction and childrearing environment at six months, although mother-infant interaction and childrearing environment at twelve months did not show significant correlations with infant development at twelve months. 5. Developmental scores at six months showed significant correlations with variety in daily stimulation, and mother's emotional, verbal responsivity, whereas developmental scores at twelve months showed significant correlations with acceptance of child behavior at six months, and appropriate play material at twelve months. In conclusion, the maternal education program for primipara showed long term effect in some categories in organizing the childrearing environment, and fostering the infant development. We suggest further study and implications of parent role education program for high risk parents such as parents in low economic status or with premature babies.

영아기 어머니역할 교육 프로그램이 모아상호작용과 영아발달에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Maternal Role Education Program on the Mother-Infant Interaction and Infant Development)

  • The impact of childhood experience has lifelong significance on subsequent health and development. Especially, the experience of infant is mostly affected by the quality of parental care and rearing environment. But the new mothers usually do not know what to do because of the lack of experience in these days. Therefore, an educational program regarding maternal role would be necessary. This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the maternal role education program for mother-infant interaction, child-rearing environment, and infant development. Non-equivalent control group time-series design was used, and Barnard's mother-infant interaction model was used as a conceptual framework of this study. The subjects were the healthy infants weighing over 2,500gm at birth, whose gestational age was more than 37 weeks, and their mothers. The final sample consisted of 19 mother-infant dyads for intervention group and 18 dyads for control group. Data were collected from March 15th to September 3rd in 1999. For the intervention group, programmed education which focused on mother-infant interaction, breast feeding, and infant care was provided before discharge. Telephone counselling was provided within one week after discharge. Home visiting for maternal role education was provided twice, one month and three months postpartum. For the control group, home visiting was also conducted but only for data collection. The data were analyzed using chi-square test and t-test to test the equivalence of two groups, and the effectiveness of intervention program was determined with repeated measure ANCOVA and t-test. The results were as follows: 1. Significant differences were found in mother-infant interaction between two groups(p=.000). It indicates that intervention program was effective in improving mother- infant interaction. In subscale analysis, four out of six subscale showed significant differences between the groups: sensitivity to cues (p=.000), social-emotional growth fostering (p=.000), cognitive growth fostering(p=.000) in mothers, and responsiveness to caregiver (p=.019) in infants. 2. The difference in the mean score of childrearing environment (HOME) between the intervention group and control group was significant(p=.003). When each subscale of HOME was examined individually, intervention group showed significantly higher scores in the diversity of stimulation(p=.000), and mother's involvement(p=.001). 3. Three-month-Infants of the intervention group showed higher GQ in the Griffiths mental development scale(p=.026). In subscale analysis, significant differences were found in the personal-social(p=.005), and the hearing and speech(p=.003). In conclusion, the maternal role education program proved to be effective in promoting the mother-infant interaction, organizing the childrearing environment, and fostering the infant development. These results are very meaningful that we found maternal role education necessary for normal infants' mothers, and that nurses can make a great contribution in promoting health of infants and mothers.

Also it indicates that the new mothers say the lack of confidence and knowledge about infant care. This study was a prospective longitudinal reseach developing parent role education program and evaluating the effectiveness of this program for mother-infant interaction, childrearing environment and infant development. The sample consisted of 19 mother-infant dyads for intervention group and 18 dyads for control group. Data were collected from March 15th to December 14th in 1999. For the intervention group received programmed education that was consisted of discharge education, telephone counselling, and home visiting for maternal education. The data were analyzed using chi-square test and t-test to test the equivalence of two groups, and the effectiveness of intervention program. This study was focused on the results of six months time point. The results were as follows: 1. There was significant difference in the mean score of mother-infant interaction(NCAST) between two groups. Intervention group showed higher scores in the subscales of sensitivity to cues, cognitive growth fostering, and caregiver total. 2. There was no significant difference in the mean score of child rearing environment (HOME) between two groups of six-month-infants. But when each subscale of HOME was examined, intervention group showed higher scores in the dimensions of opportunities for variety in daily stimulation, maternal involvement with child, and emotional, verbal response. 3. Six-month-infants of the intervention group showed significantly higher GQ in the Griffiths mental development scale. In conclusion, the maternal education program was effective in promoting the mother-infant interaction, organizing the childrearing environment, and fostering the infant development. These results were very meaningful that we found parent role education necessary for normal infants' mothers, and nurses can make a great contribution in promoting health of infants and mothers.

학교부적응 학생 대상 예비부모교육 수업 적용 사례 연구 (A Case Study of Parenting Education Program for Students with School-Maladjustment)

  • 본 연구는 고등학교 학교부적응 학생을 대상으로 예비부모교육 프로그램을 실시하고 그 효과를 알아보는 데 있다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 여성가족부에서 개발한 청소년 대상 예비부모교육 프로그램 17차시 중 9차시를 일부 수정하여 제주도 일반계 고등학교 대안교실에 참여하는 학생 10명에게 실시하였다. 예비부모교육의 참여는 관찰과 면담을 통해 학교부적응 학생들의 자아개념 및 가족가치관의 긍정적 변화와 피임, 기초 돌봄, 자녀발달단계별 부모의 역할의 변화 필요성에 대한 정보획득, 의사소통 및 감정조절에 대한 문제해결능력이 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이에 여성가족부에서 개발한 예비부모교육프로그램은 부모로부터 정서적 지원과 올바른 양육환경에서 자라지 못한 경우가 많은 학교부적응 학생들에게 올바른 부모역할 수행에 도움을 주어 개인에게는 삶에 대한 만족도를 높이고 사회적으로는 학대의 대물림을 방지하여 가정의 건강성을 높이는 데 도움을 줄 것으로 보인다. 더불어 학교부적응 학생의 긍정적인 신념의 변화와 의사소통 및 감정조절 등의 문제해결능력의 향상은 학생의 학교생활의 적응력을 향상시키는 결과를 가져와 학교부적응 학생 예비부모교육 수업은 효과적인 학업중단예방 프로그램으로서 활용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.
