Application of SP monitoring to the analysis of anisotropy of aquifer (대수층 이방성 분석을 위한 자연전위 모니터링의 적용)

  • To analyze the anisotropic characteristics of fractured aquifer, variations of streaming potential were measured during and after pumping over several wells at the two test sites. Surface electrical resistivity survey, normal resistivity logging, and slug test were performed at the wells to identify the hydrogeological structure. Applying the results to the recently suggested model, the aquifer of the two test sites showed confined characteristics. Anisotropic direction appeared in using equi-potential maps from self-potential monitoring results matched well with the results of the hydrogeological test. The self-potential monitoring method adopted in this study would be useful for providing a more reliable information on the anisotropy of aquifer in the pumping test at single well.

Experimental Study on the Effect of Filter Layers on Pumping Capacity and Well Efficiency in an Unconfined Aquifer (자유면대수층에서 필터층이 취수량 및 우물효율에 미치는 영향에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • This study evaluated a model unconfined aquifer comprising a sand or gravel layer, a filter layer, a pumping well, and an observation well. The model was employed in step drawdown tests and then used to assess the permeability of each test tank. The optimal yield and well efficiency were then calculated. Evaluation of yield by step in sand layer filters of equal thickness gave optimized watering rates of 22.03 L/min in the double filter and 19.71 L/min in the single filter. The double filter's yield was 115.0% that of the single filter. A comparison of double and single filters, each 10 cm thick, showed the double filter to have a maximum yield of 182.7%. Yields for the gravel layer were 73.56 L/min for a double filter and 65.47 L/min for a single filter of the same thickness; the former value is 112.3% of that of the latter. Comparison of double and single filters with 10-cm-thick gravel layers revealed that the double filter had a maximum yield of 160.9%. Results for sand wells showed the double filter to have a maximum efficiency of 70.4% and the single filter to have a minimum efficiency of 37.1%. Gravel-layer well efficiencies were >66.5% for both double and single filters (each 30 cm thick), but only 22.5% for a 10-cm-thick single filter. This study confirms that permeability improved as the filter material became thicker; it also shows that a double filter has a higher yield and well efficiency than a single filter. These results can be applied to the practical design of wells.

암반공압파쇄에 의한 지하수위 변화 분석

  • 농어촌연구원 내 화강암질편마암지층에 2차에 걸쳐 3공에 대한 공압파쇄 시험 결과 B-1공은 점토성분의 파쇄대 충진으로 수량이 도리어 감소하였다. 공압파쇄 시험 중 파쇄 도달거리를 측정한 결과, P-2 공은 50m 거리에 위치한 B-1공에서의 공압파쇄시험 중에는 약 0.6m의 수위상승이 있었고, 20m 거리에 위치한 B-2공에서의 공압파쇄시험 중에는 약 3.1m의 수위가 상승하였다. 이는 공압파쇄의 유효거리가 암반층에서는 6~15m 정도라고 알려져 있으나 파쇄구간의 발달 정도에 따라 50m 이상 압축공기가 전달됨을 알 수 있다.

  • This paper presents a sensitivity analysis to obtain best fit of hydraulic parameters of leaky fractal aquifer. The sensitivity analysis uses the least squares method. The hydraulic parameters (generalized transmissivity and generalized storage coefficient) can be easily determined by the sensitivity analysis for various flow dimensions and different values of the leakage factor. Furthermore, the sensitivity analysis was applied to variable-rate pump tast at several abstraction wells, A computer program was developed to evaluate the hydraulic parameters by the sensitivity analysis.

강변여과수 개발지역의 인공함양특성 평가를 위한 동위원소 기술적용에 대한 예비연구

  • 인공함양 특성평가를 위한 동위원소기술을 적용하기 위한 연구지역으로 영남내륙권의 고령군과 달성군의 경계에 위치한 낙동강변의 강변여과수 개발지역을 선정하였으며, 동위원소기술적용을 위하여 연구지역내에 위치한 강변여과수 개발을 위한 양수정과 주변공들 및 지표수들에 대한 시료채취를 수행하였다. 관측공 중 한 공에 대하여는 다중패커시스템 (Multi-packer system)을 활용하여 심도별 변화를 살펴보았다. 연구지역내 물시료들에 대한 현재까지의 산소와 수소 동위원소 및 삼중수소 함량 분석결과는 다중패커설치공 및 일반 관측공과 지표수들간에 서로 중첩되어 구분이 어렵다. 스트론튬 동위원소비는 양수정 및 그 인접공의 시료들과 강변에서 인접한 공의 시료들간에 차이는 있으나 명확하지는 않다. 질소동위원소 분석결과를 살펴보면 전반적으로 화학비료로나 토양내의 유기물로부터 유래한 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 이처럼 현재까지의 기초분석 결과는 자연수 시료들에 적용된 다양한 동위원소값들이 서로 유사한 값들을 보여서 동위원소 특성을 지하수 유동특성이나 함양특성을 해석하기 위한 추적자로 이용하는데 어려움이 있을 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 특정한 시기의 강우사건에 대해 강수, 낙동강물, 양수정 및 일련의 주변공과 다중패커시스템이 설치된 공의 심도별 구간 등에 대해 현재보다 보다 집중적이고 체계적인 시료채취가 시도되어지거나 방사성동위원소를 이용한 추적자 시험이 병행되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

A Study on the Seawater Filtration Characteristics of Single and Dual-filter Layer Well by Field Test (현장실증시험에 의한 단일 및 이중필터층 우물의 해수 여과 특성 연구)

  • This study performs to evaluate adaptability of seashore filtering type seawater-intake which adapts dua1 filter well alternative for direct seawater-intake. This study varies filter condition of seashore free surface aquifer which is composed of sand layer then installs real size dual filter well and single filter well to evaluate water permeability and proper pumping amount according to filter condition. According to result of step aquifer test, it is analysed that 110.3% synergy effect of water permeability coefficient is happened compare to single filter since dual filter well has better improvement. dual filter has higher water permeability coefficient compare to same pumping amount, this means dual filter has more improved water permeability than single filter. According to analysis result of continuous aquifer test, it is evaluated that dual filter well (SD1200) has higher water permeability than single filter well (SS800) by analysis of water permeability coefficient using monitoring well and gauging well, it is also analysed dual filter has 110.7% synergy effect of water permeability coefficient. As a evaluation result of pumping amount according to analysis of water level dropping rate, it is analysed that dual filter well increased 122.8% pumping amount compare to single filter well when water level dropping is 2.0 m. As a result of calculating proper pumping amount using water level dropping rate, it is analysed that dual filter well shows 136.0% higher pumping amount compare to single filter well. It is evaluated that proper pumping amount has 122.8~160% improvement compare to single filter, pumping amount improvement rate is 139.6% compare to averaged single filter. In other words, about 40% water intake efficiency can be improved by just installation of dual filter compare to normal well. Proper pumping amount of dual filter well using inflection point is 2843.3 L/min and it is evaluated that daily seawater intake amount is about $4,100m^3/day$ (${\fallingdotseq}4094.3m^3/day$) in one hole of dual filter well. Since it is possible to intake plenty of water in one hole, higher adaptability is anticipated. In case of intaking seawater using dual filter well, no worries regarding damages on facilities caused by natural disaster such as severe weather or typhoon, improvement of pollution is anticipated due to seashore sand layer acts like filter. Therefore, It can be alternative of environmental issue for existing seawater intake technique, can save maintenance expenses related to installation fee or damages and has excellent adaptability in economic aspect. The result of this study will be utilized as a basic data of site demonstration test for adaptation of riverside filtered water of upcoming dual filter well and this study is also anticipated to present standard of well design and construction related to riverside filter and seashore filter technique.

시추공 유속측정기(Borehole Flowmeter)를 이용한 암반의 구간별 수리전도도 산정

  • 시추공의 구간별 수리전도를 추정하는 방법으로는 수압시험(packer test)이 많이 이용되는데 최근에는 유속측정기(flowmeter)를 이용한 시추공 검층법이 개발되어 활발한 연구가 진행 중이다. 본 연구에서는 열원(heat-pulse) 공급 방식의 유속측정기를 이용하여 공주대학 교내에 설치된 시추공에서 자연 유속(ambient flow) 및 양수 유발 유속(pump-induced flow)을 측정하였으며, 자료를 분석하여 수리전도도의 수직적인 분포를 산정하였다. 분석 결과는 수압시험에 의해 산정된 수리전도도의 분포와 잘 일치하였으며, BIPS에 의해 촬영된 시추공 영상 자료와 비교함으로써 지하수 유동과 관련된 투수성 단열(conductive fracture) 들의 수직적인 위치를 정확하게 파악할 수 있었다. 분석 결과는 암반 대수층 내에 발달된 단열망(fracture network)에 대한 3차원적인 정보를 제공할 수 있으며, 이는 효과적인 지하수 모니터링, 모델링, 및 정화 설계(remedial design)에 필요한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Evaluation of stream depletion due to nearby groundwater pumping using Baalousha analytical solution (Baalousha 해석해를 이용한 하천 주변 지하수 양수로 인한 하천수 감소 분석)

  • This study was to evaluate the stream depletion due to groundwater pumping from 17 wells near the Anseongcheon upper stream using the Baalousha's analytical solution (2012) which directly considers stream width and streambed hydraulic conductivity. The input hydraulic values of aquifer and streambed were obtained from the pumping tests and seepage experiments. The estimated streamflow depletion rates divided by pumping rate (dimensionless stream depletion) showed a range from 0.23 to 0.89 for 5 year pumping. In particular, the results revealed that the groundwater pumping has insignificant effects on streamflow when the stream depletion factor (SDF) is higher than 1,000 with values of dimensionless stream depletion lower than 0.4. A more simple Hunt's solution (1999) also applied to the same wells, and the results showed that the difference between the dimensionless stream depletions calculated by using both solutions could be negligible. From the comparison of the Baalousha's solution (2012) with the Hunt's solution (1999) with total 3,000 cases of simulations with combinations of various aquifer and stream properties, the stream-well distance should be more longer than stream width for reducing the discrepancy between both solutions.
