In this study, It has the purpose to evaluate the insulation of the curtain wall of a building on the construction from 1990 to 2011 by measuring the inside and outside surface temperature of the curtain wall. The outside frame surface(mullion bar or spandrel bar) temperature of the curtain wall is 6℃~10℃ higher than that of the surface of glasses or insulation panel of curtain wall in winter. Furthermore the outside surface of frame anchor unit is 2℃~3℃ higher than section of other frame, so it was verified lossing lots of heating.

Large industrial motors require a large area because of the high risk of shutdown accidents and large industrial accidents due to the lowering of the dielectric strength of the armature windings and overheating problems. Therefore, there is a demand for a large-capacity motor that has small size, light weight, and excellent dielectric strength compared with conventional motors. Superconducting motors have advantages of high efficiency and output power, low size, low weight, and improved stability. This results from greatly increasing the magnetic field generation by using superconductive field coils in rotating machines such as generators and motors. It is very important to design and analyze the cooling system to lower the critical temperature of the wires to achieve superconducting performance. In this study, a field loss analysis and low-temperature heat transfer analysis of the cooling system were performed through the conceptual design of a 100-HP high-temperature superconducting synchronous motor. The field loss analysis shows that a uniform pore magnetic flux density appears when high-temperature superconducting wire is used. The low-temperature heat transfer analysis for gaseous neon and liquid neon showed that a flow rate of 1 kg/min of liquid neon is suitable for maintaining low-temperature stability of the high-temperature superconducting wire.
A 12-year-old male poodle weighing 2.0 kg presented for evaluation of right thoracic limb lameness. The owner reported that the dog showed recurrent bilateral shoulder joint luxation after a car accident for a year. Recently, the left shoulder joint appeared well maintained, but right shoulder joint luxation was exacerbated. On physical examination, the dog showed non-weight bearing lameness on the right thoracic limb. Craniocaudal radiographic views revealed medial displacement of the right humerus. Mediolateral radiographic views revealed overlap of the glenoid cavity and humeral head. Muscle atrophy of the right thoracic limb, reduced biceps brachii muscle tendon tone, a tear of the medial glenohumeral ligament, and a rupture of the subscapularis tendon were identified intraoperatively. Transposition of the biceps muscle tendon was performed. However, at 7 days, there was evidence of right shoulder reluxation on radiographs. The second surgery was performed with two $2mm{\times}6mm$ cortical bone anchors and a $4mm{\times}6mm$ cancellous bone anchor placed in the cortical bone of the distal scapula and the cancellous bone of the proximal humerus respectively. Two scapular bone anchors were then connected with a humeral bone anchor using heavy nylon suture to minimize shoulder abduction range of motion. On radiographs right after surgery and 6 weeks after surgery, the affected limb revealed no evidence of medial shoulder luxation. At 6 months, no evidence of lameness was noted on the right thoracic limb.

This study is to evaluate the thermal insulation of the curtain wall of the buildings constructed since the 1990s to the buildings currently under construction in 2011 and to provide the basic data for repairing and reinforcing and designing the thermal insulation. To this effect, the temperature difference by part was analyzed through measuring the inside and outside surface temperature of the curtain wall of the office building, and thereafter, the conditions of the thermal insulation and the thermal bridge part were examined. The result of the study is as follows; Not only in the winter season when the temperature difference between the indoor-outdoor is over $20^{\circ}C$, but also in the summer season when there is a small temperature difference, the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the frame is $2^{\circ}C{\sim}4^{\circ}C$ equally. Under such conditions as stated above, the thermal bridge occurred, which resulted from the heat flow of the steel frame part (mullion, transom), and therefore, the reinforcement of the thermal insulation is considered to be needed.

In this study is to improve insulation performance that are the most weak insulation part of fastening unit of the curtain wall. It was produced that thought out to minimize mullion and connecting part, and evaluated performance that make a layer of insulation in the middle by using vibration-proof rubber or silicon. Vibration-proof rubber insulation is 2.6℃~4.0℃ higher and silicon insulation is 2.4℃ higher than non-insulation. Therefore the insulating layer of fastening unit is necessary.

The purpose of this study was to develop the curtain-wall structure design evaluation manual that can easily examine the curtain-wall structural members (Mullion and Transom) stability from the position of the construction managers. Through analyzing the structural design reports in the previous studies and interview with industry experts, the curtain-wall structural member design process was elicited. The manual, which consists of Microsoft Excel-based work sheet and its manual, was applied to a real curtain-wall design project to make sure its usability. A workshop with three curtain-wall experts and three construction managers was conducted to identify pros and cons of the manual, thereby enhancing its applicability in the future.

Steel plate bonding method with epoxy is common applied to repair and strengthen RC structures, but Steel is apt to corrode quickly, hard to manufacture and heavy. To overcome these defects, it is carried out research on strengthening RC structures with FRP(Fibre Reinforced Polyrner/Plastic) FRP is generally used in the shape of Plate or Sheet, but it has weak point such as premature failure, difficult work. To cope with these problem, NSMR(Near Surface Mounted Reinforcement) which uses CFRP in the shape of Rod is proposed and carried out active research on strengthening effect of variables such as quantity, anchorage length and space of CFRP-Rod. Strengthening with CFRP-Rod is carried out under loading to some degree in fact, and so the amount of pre-loading is selected as variable in this research. The amount of pre-loading is chosen in proportion to nominal strength of non-strengthened specimen with CFRP-Rod.

In general, large-capacity hydrogen storage vessels, typically in the form of vertical cylindrical vessels, are constructed using steel materials. These vessels are anchored to foundation slabs that are specially designed to suit the environmental conditions. This anchoring method involves pre-installed anchors on top of the concrete foundation slab. However, it's important to note that such a design can result in concentrated stresses at the anchoring points when external forces, such as seismic events, are at play. This may lead to potential structural damage due to anchor and concrete damage. For this reason, in this study, it selected an vertical hydrogen storage vessel based on site observations and created a 3D finite element model. Artificial seismic motions made following the procedures specified in ICC-ES AC 156, as well as domestic recorded earthquakes with a magnitude greater than 5.0, were applied to analyze the structural behavior and performance of the target structures. Conducting experiments on a structure built to actual scale would be ideal, but due to practical constraints, it proved challenging to execute. Therefore, it opted for an analytical approach to assess the safety of the target structure. Regarding the structural response characteristics, the acceleration induced by seismic motion was observed to amplify by approximately ten times compared to the input seismic motions. Additionally, there was a tendency for a decrease in amplification as the response acceleration was transmitted to the point where the centre of gravity is located. For the vulnerable components, specifically the sub-system (support columns and anchorages), the stress levels were found to satisfy the allowable stress criteria. However, the concrete's tensile strength exhibited only about a 5% margin of safety compared to the allowable stress. This indicates the need for mitigation strategies in addressing these concerns. Based on the research findings presented in this paper, it is anticipated that predictable load information for the design of storage vessels required for future shaking table tests will be provided.
Shear Connector should be used to fix the PHC pile with extension wall in order to utilize PHC-W retaining wall as permanent wall. The pullout behaviours on shear connectors anchored into PHC-W pile were observed as two modes. The first type behaviour showed that after reaching the maximum pullout resistance, the anchorage was broken and shear connector was pulled out abruptly. The second type behaviour showed that even after arriving the maximum pullout resistance, the anchorage was not destroyed and there was a progressive increase in pullout displacement. The maximum pullout resistance of the steel anchor shear connector is larger than that of deformed bar shear connector. The larger the diameter and the longer the embedment length of shear connector, the higher the maximum pullout resistance would be. The pullout displacements corresponding to the maximum pullout resistance of the shear connector showed various ranges regardless of the materials, the diameters and the anchoring lengths. A-D20 shear connectors showed a pull-out displacement of about 8~10 mm. A-D16, D-D19 and D-D16 shear connectors exhibited a pulling displacement of about 14~20 mm, but a pulling displacement of about 6~10 mm when the anchoring lengths were 50 and 80 mm.
Purpose: This study was designed to investigate the rate of incidence, location and the clinical value of the rotator cuff retear by analyzing MRI scans, which was taken after an arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Materials and Methods: This study included a total of 109 patients, who underwent a shoulder MRI scan after an average of 10.6 months later from the arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. We only defined the 'retear' when the Sugaya type IV and V was observed in the sagittal section of the MRI. The location of the retear was divided into the medial and lateral areas by the site, which was 1 cm medial to the anchor insertion. We investigated the incidence rate and the location of the retear, in terms of the age, sex, initial tear size and the suture method. Also, we compared the functional score of the retear group and the non-retear group, after an average of 13.9 months follow-up. Results: There were 38 of the 109 patients that showed the rotator cuff retear. Of these patients, 25 were male patients, and 13 were female patients. Of the 38 patients with the rotator cuff retear, 21 patients were included in the <3 cm retear group, and 17 were included in the ${\geqq}3$ cm retear group. At the end of the follow up period, all 109 patients showed a statistical significant improvement in the shoulder functional score. Conclusion: According to the follow up of the MRI scan, which was taken after the rotator cuff repair, the retear rate reached 34.9 %, and there were no significant differences on the age and the suture method. More rotator cuff retear occurred in male patients, and the initial tear size was positively correlated with the incidence rate of the rotator cuff retear. Also, the retear was more frequently observed at the medial side. That is because when the suture was performed, excessive tension was loaded on the medial side of the suture site.
