The synthesis of silver powders with narrow particle distribution and spherical shape prepared by spray pyrolysis (분무열분해법에 의한 입자분포가 좁은 구형의 은 분말 제조)

  • 은분말은 전자 산업에 있어 후막 도체 페이스트의 제조를 위해 사용되어지고 있다. 후막 페이스트는, 기재상에 스크린 프린트되고, 전도성의 회로 패턴을 형성한다. 이러한 회로는, 다음에 건조, 소성되고 액체 유기 비이클을 휘발 시키고, 그리고 은 입자를 소결시킨다. 프린트 회로 기술은 점점 고밀도이면서 더욱 정밀한 전자 회로를 요구하고 있다. 이러한 요건에 적합하기 위하여 도선은 폭이 점점 좁아지고, 선의 사이의 거리가 점점 작아지고 있다. 고밀도가 조밀하게 꽉 찬 좁은 선을 위하여 은 분말은 가능한 크기가 단일하고 구형의 형태를 가져야 한다. 현재 금속 분말을 제조하는 방법으로는 화학적 환원법, 무화 또는 분쇄, 열분해법등의 물리적 과정 및 전기 화학적 과정 등이있다. 본 연구에서는 입도 분포가 좁은 구형의 은 분말을 제조하기 위하여 기상법의 하나인 분무열분해법을 도입하였다. 또한 싸이클론을 사용하므로 큰 액적들을 걸러 입도 분포를 줄였다. 은 분말의 프리커서로써는 AgNO$_3$를 사용하였고 반응기의 온도는 $700^{\circ}C$에서 100$0^{\circ}C$까지 변화시켰으며 운반기체로써는 5%H$_2$ 혼합가스로 20L/min에서 80L/min 변화시켜 은 분말을 제조하였다. 또한 용액의 농도는 0.2M에서 1.0M까지 변화시켰다. 용액의 농도가 0.2M이고 운반기체의 유랑이 40L/min일 경우 완전한 은 상이 관찰되었고, 입자의 크기는 약 600nm였다.

  • 초전도 시스템에서 전류를 공급하는 역할을 하는 전류리드는 없어서는 안 될 핵심 부품이다. Powder-in-tube(PIT) 법으로 제작한 1세대(1G) 고온초전도 선재보다 열전달특성이 나쁜 2세대(2G) 고온초전도 선재를 이용하여 고온초전도 전류리드를 제작하였다. 사용한 선재는 미국 AMSC사 선재이다. 초전도 자석으로의 열침입을 최소화하기 위해 지지구조물은 GFRP를 사용하였고 금속연결부는 무산소동을 사용하였다. 2G 선재 6가닥을 사용하여 제작한 전류리드는 액체질소 온도에서 I-V 특성을 평가한 결과 약 400 A급 전류리드도 사용 가능하다고 판단되었으며, 열전달 특성을 측정하기 위해 무냉매형 특성평가장치를 사용하였는데, 77 K과 7 K 사이에서 약 50 mW정도 였다. 본 논문에선 2G 고온초전도 선재를 사용하여 제작한 전류리드의 전기적 열적 특성에 대해 논의하고자 한다.

The optical characteristics of amorphous $Se_{75}Ge_{25}$ thin film by the low-energy lon beam exposure (저 에너지 이온빔 조사에 따른 비정질 $Se_{75}Ge_{25}$ 박막의 광학적 특성)

  • A bilayer film consisting of a layer of a-Se$_{75}$ Ge$_{25}$ with a surface layer of silver -100[.angs.] thick and a monolayer film of a-Se$_{75}$ Ge$_{25}$ are irradiated with 9[keV] Ga$^{+}$ ion beam. The Ga$^{+}$ ion (10$^{16}$ [ions/cm$^{2}$] exposed a-Se$_{75}$ Ge$_{25}$ and Ag/a-Se$_{75}$ Ge$_{25}$ thin films show an increase in optical absorption, and the absorption edge on irradiation with shifts toward longer wavelength. The shift toward longer wavelength called a "darkening effect" is observed also in film exposure to optical radiation(4.5*10$^{20}$ [photons/cm$^{2}$]). The 0.3[eV] edge shift for ion irradiation films is about twice to that obtained on irradiation with photons. These large changes are primarily due to structural changes, which lead to high etch selectivity and high sensitivity.

  • 9% nickel alloy steels used for LNG, cryogenic liquid, storage tank are welded with dissimilar Inconel or Hastelloy welding rod and the weldment shows similar characteristic with the dissimilar metal weld of low carbon steel and austenitic stainless steel. Band type indications are sometimes shown on the film during radiography test of the weldments. Thus this study identified whether the indications are non-relevant indications through material, radiographic test, ultrasonic test, liquid penetrant test and microstructure analysis and also proposed radiography film interpretation and cause of band type indications.

  • Recently, many studies for the supported liquid membrane (SLM) using a carrier have been actively reported. Polymeric cation exchange membrane was synthsized by dissolving monensin carrier of antibiotic material in organic solvent. Then the SLM was applied to the Nernst-Planck and Fick equations and membrane potential and membrane permeability were measured respectively. The results showed the high selectivity towards alkali metal ions and the SLM showed linear relationship with low concentration. However, linear relationship did not appear at high concentration. This is explained by means of the new theory of the stagnant layer and the slop of logarithm value was linear for the up-hill transport phenomena of membrane transport.

  • A major problem of nuclear energy is the production of radioactive wastes. Needs for more environmentally favorable method to decontaminate radioactive contaminants make the use of liqui $d^ercritical $CO_2$ as a solvent medium. In removing radioactive metallic contaminants under $CO_2$ solvent, two methods - use of chelating ligands and that of water in $CO_2$ emulsion-are possible. In the chelating ligand method, a combination of ligands that can make synergistic effects seems important. We discuss about the properties of microemulsion formed by F-AOT and that by non-ionic surfactant. By adding acid in water core, decontamination of metallic parts, soils were possible. The rate of metal surface dissolution to the microemulsion solution was measured by QCM. The possibility of recovering the surfactants after use is also mentioned.ed.

  • Pd on charcoal particles were prepared by wet impregnation to develop commercial catalyst for aerobic benzyl alcohol oxidation. Especially, one of room temperature ionic liquids, [Hmim][$PF_6$], was used as an effective solvent in the synthesis to improve the metal dispersion of the catalysts. Among the Pd/Charcoal with various Pd concentrations, 7.5 wt% catalyst showed the higher catalytic activity and stability. Moreover, Ag was used as a promoter with various ratios in catalyst preparation. Under identical reaction conditions, the catalyst with 9 : 1 of Pd and Ag weight ratios was most active due to higher metal dispersion.

A Study on High Cycle Temperature Fluctuation Caused by Thermal Striping in a Mixing Tee Pipe (혼합배관 내의 열 경계층 이동으로 인한 고주기 온도요동에 관한 연구)

  • Fluid temperature fluctuations in a mixing tee pipe were numerically analyzed by LES model in order to clarify internal turbulent flows and to develope an evaluation method for high-cycle thermal fatigue. Hot and cold water with an temperature difference $40^{\circ}C$ were supplied to the mixing tee. Fluid temperature fluctuations in a mixing tee pipe is analysed by using the computational fluid dynamics code, FLUENT, Temperature fluctuations of the fluid and pipe wall measured as the velocity ratio of the flow in the branch pipe to that in the main pipe was varied from 0.05 to 5.0. The power spectrum method was used to evaluate the heat transfer coefficient. The fluid temperature characteristics were dependent on the velocity ratio, rather than the absolute value of the flow velocity. Large fluid temperature fluctuations were occurred near the mixing tee, and the fluctuation temperature frequency was random. The ratios of the measured heat transfer coefficient to that evaluated by Dittus-Boelter's empirical equation were independent of the velocity ratio, The multiplier ratios were about from 4 to 6.

  • Modified lignins were prepared. Soda and peroxy lignins were precipitated from black liquor produced from bagasse pulping with soda and peroxyacid pulping process. The precipitated lignins were hydrolyzed using 10% HCl. Different functional groups were also incorporated into lignin by carboxylation and phosphorylation reactions. Moreover crosslinking of these lignins were carried out using epichlorohydrin. Characterization of the modified lignins and lignins derivative were carried out using Infrared spectroscopy. Thermal analysis of these compounds were also carried out using TGA and DTA techniques. Efficiency of sorption of metal ions by the modified lignin was also investigated. It was found that, the peroxylignin and its derivatives show higher efficiency toward metal ions uptake than the soda lignin.

  • In the leakage test of a Main Oxidizer shut-off valve, gas leakage was found on the middle flange with a metal conical seal. The structural analysis was performed for three models with different numbers of bolts and flange shapes and then one model was selected in consideration of the minimum axial gap deformation as well as the weight increment due to the change of flange shapes. Experimental leakage tests for the simulated flanges of the selected model has resulted in no gas leakage, and consequently the structural analysis method for the design of the middle flanges has proved feasible.
