적층형 압전변압기

  • 압전변압기는 압전효과를 응용한 점화소자와 필터의 중간적인 존재로서 그 두 기능을 합친 것과 같은 특성을 가지며, 전기적 에너지가 기계적 에너지로 변환된 후 다시 전기적 에너지로 환원되는 과정을 통하여 고전압을 얻는 변압기이다. 이러한 변압기는 자속을 응용하는 일반적인 변압기와는 달리, 유전체인 압전세라믹소자의 압전현상과 공진현상을 응용하므로 주파수대역이 좁고 취급되는 전류가 적다는 단점이 있으나, 구조가 간단하고, 제작이 용이하며, 소형이고, 손실이 적은 장점들이 있어서 특히 고전압고전류원을 필요로하는 음극선관, 음이온발생기, 집진기, 전자복사기, 도장기 등에 이용되고 있으며, 최근에는 다른 분야에도 응용이 시도되고 있다. 여기서는 기존의 압전변압기 중에서 가장 많이 쓰이고 있는 Rosen형(또는 transverse형)압전변압기의 구조와 특성들을 간단히 기술하고, 새로운 형태인 적층형 압전변압기에 관하여 소개하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문은 압전 세라믹스 재료를 사용한 장방형 압전 변압기의 승압특성에 관한 연구이다. 승압기구 분석을 위하여 진동모드에 따른 주파수 Spectrum을 구동부측곽 발전부측에 대해 각각 조사하였다. 시편구조(전극길이, 두께, 폭)에 따른 진동상태와 승압비를 평가하고 압전 변압기로써 가져야 될 최적조건을 제시하였다. 또한 부하저항에 병렬로 연결된 등가손실저항과 발전부 공진임피던스 사이의 관련성을 검토하였다.

  • In this paper, inverter type neon power supply using a piezoelectric transformer is fabricated and its characteristic is investigated. Developed neon power supply is composed of basic circuit and blocks, such as rectifier part, frequency oscillation part and piezoelectric transformer and resonant half bridge inverters. In this paper for complement the low power limitation, piezoelectric transformer at parallel connected driving by inverter is studied for noon tubes system of high power. When piezoelectric transformer is connected with parallel, LC filter connection method with parallel and selection of inductance L and capacitor C of primary side is suggested for reduce unbalanced current at the terminal of each transformer. Piezoelectric transformers use piezoelectric ceramic devices. Thus it is wireless therefore it has high power density, high Isolation level, low loss, more light, and miniaturization. In addition, high voltage transfer ratio is expected because there is no leakage inductance. Also, it has economic merit that the electrical loss Is low because structure is simple, small and tighter weight.

  • Rosen형 또는 적층 Rosen형과 같은 압전세라믹 변압기는 고전압, 고효율의 출력특성과 소형이라는 장점을 가지는 반면에, 온도에 따른 압전 특성의 변화가 심하다는 단점을 가진다. 이러한 이유로 압전 단결정과 같은 온도특성이 안정적인 재료를 이용한 변압기의 개발이 진 행되고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 온도계수가 낮은 $LiTaO_3$ 단 결정$(X-112^\circ\;Y)$을 이용한 압전변압기를 제작 그 특성을 시뮬레이션 및 실험으로 해석하였다.

  • In this study, in order to develop multilayer piezoelectric transformer for high electromechanical coupling factor and mechanical quality factor. and to show the general approach to the design of inverters utilizing PT as a circuit element. The description of the piezoelectric effect is not present here and can be easily found in numerous publications as well as complex equations and formulae. What is the most important to understand is that "they are different" -one cannot just change an electromagnetic transformer (EMT) for a piezoelectric one. Several examples of PT-based circuitry will help to start and use multilayer piezoelectric transformer advantages most effectively.

  • In this study, piezoelectric AC-DC converter using ring-dot type multilayer piezoelectric transformer with no anisotropic of polarization was developed. Considering the characteristics of piezoelectric transformer which is very narrow operating frequency range, piezoelectric converter was designed with mixed structure of PFM driving method for feedback control of oscillation frequency and PWM driving method for output control. Maximum power and allowed current of the developed piezoelectric converter showing stable driving with minimum heat was 25W and 900mA, respectively. The output voltage of the piezoelectric converter was controlled by the driving oscillation frequency and showed stable and efficient operating characteristics at the maximum power.

  • In this paper, a hexagon-type piezoelectric transformer was investigated to increase the output power. The length of its side was 14mm and 17.5[mm], respectively. The piezoelectric ceramics was composed to PZT-PMN-PSN. This composition showed the characteristics which had an about 1200 of the mechanical Q-factor, 0.55 of the electromechanical coupling coefficient, 320 x 10$\^$-12/ C/N of the piezoelectric constant d$\sub$33/, 0.3% of the dissipation factor, etc. The voltage step-up ratio increased with increasing the load resistance, Rt., so it reached 80 with R$\sub$L/ of l[M$\Omega$] and was proportion to the length of side of the hexagon-type piezoelectric transformer.
