  • This paper presents a new open-world object detection method emphasizing uncertainty representation in machine learning models. The focus is on adapting to real-world uncertainties, incrementally updating the model's knowledge repository for dynamic scenarios. Applications like autonomous vehicles benefit from improved multi-class classification accuracy. The paper reviews challenges in existing methodologies, stressing the need for universal detectors capable of handling unknown classes. Future directions propose collaboration, integration of language models, to improve the adaptability and applicability of open-world object detection.

Characterization of Allicin Transformation Products and Determination of Allicin (알리신 변형체의 특성과 알리신의 정량)

  • Allicin was synthesized for the purpose of identification an dquantitation of a pharmaceutical dosage form in soft capsules. The identified transformed products fro allicin were dially disulfide , 3-vinyl-[4H]-1, 2-dithiin and 2-vinyl-[4H]-1, 3-dithiin in gas chromatrographic conditions and dially disulfide and ajoene in HPLC. Allicin is thermally unstable , it may be completely decomposed to vinyl dithiin isomers in GC conditions. For that reason, allicin was not found directly in the pharmaceutical dosage forms. In HPLC conditions, mobile phase was methanol /water containing 0.1% formic acid(65/35) and column was $\mu$-Bondapak C18. Detection wa-velength was 254nm. The retention time of allicin was 6.98min. The calibration ranger for allicin was 10 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml to 200$\mu\textrm{g}$/ml and correlation coefficient(r) was 0.987.

Development of Insole Sensor System and Gait Phase Detection Algorithm for Lower Extremity Exoskeleton (하지 외골격 로봇을 위한 인솔 센서시스템 및 보행 판단 알고리즘 개발)

  • This paper is about the development of an insole sensor system that can determine the model of an exoskeleton robot for lower limb that is a multi-degree of freedom system. First, the study analyzed the kinematic model of an exoskeleton robot for the lower limb that changes according to the gait phase detection of a human. Based on the ground reaction force (GRF), which is generated when walking, to proceed with insole sensor development, the sensing type, location, and the number of sensors were selected. The center of pressure (COP) of the human foot was understood first, prior to the development of algorithm. Using the COP, an algorithm was developed that is capable of detecting the gait phase with small number of sensors. An experiment at 3 km/h speed was conducted on the developed sensor system to evaluate the developed insole sensor system and the gait phase detection algorithm.

  • Precise fabrication of three-dimensional (3D) self-standing microstructures on thin glass plates via two-photon induced polymerization (TPP) has been an important issue for innovative 3D nanodevices and microdevices. However, there are still issues remaining to be solved, such as building 3D microstructures on opaque materials via TPP and being able to implant them as functional parts onto practical systems. To settle these issues simply and effectively, we propose a contact print lithography (CPL) method using an ultraviolet (UV)-curable polymer layer. We report some of the possibilities and potential of CPL by presenting our results for transplanting 3D microstructures onto large-area substrates and also our examination of some of the effects of the process parameters on successful transplantation.

NN Saturation and FL Deadzone Compensation of Robot Systems (로봇 시스템의 신경망 포화 및 퍼지 데드존 보상)

  • A saturation and deadzone compensator is designed for robot systems using fuzzy logic (FL) and neural network (NN). The classification property of FL system and the function approximation ability of the NN make them the natural candidate for the rejection of errors induced by the saturation and deadzone. The tuning algorithms are given for the fuzzy logic parameters and the NN weights, so that the saturation and deadzone compensation scheme becomes adaptive, guaranteeing small tracking errors and bounded parameter estimates. Formal nonlinear stability proofs are given to show that the tracking error is small. The NN saturation and FL deadzone compensator is simulated on a robot system to show its efficacy.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is how Chinese users' personal traits affect the intention to use mobile payment. This research selects personal innovativeness and habit of cash payment as personal traits, and considers perceived risks and relative advantage as personal beliefs. In addition, the research divided perceived risks into three multi-faceted risks, which are privacy risk, financial risk and performance risk. Methods: The method of this study used questionnaire survey to collect 241 data on users' perception on mobile payment, and also used a structural equation modeling method. Results: The result of this paper shows that all hypotheses are statistically significant except 4 hypotheses. Conclusion: The result of this study found that personal innovativeness is negatively related with all 3 kinds of perceived risks as anticipated. And Chinese users' traditional habit of cash payment negatively affects intention to use mobile payment but is not statistically significant affecting three perceived risks. Among perceived risks, privacy risk is the most negatively influencing factor to relative advantage.

  • As the Hadamard transform can be generalized into the Jacket transform, in this paper, we generalize the Haar transform into the Jacket-Haar transform. The entries of the Jacket-Haar transform are 0 and ${\pm}2^k$. Compared with the original Haar transform, the basis of the Jacket-Haar transform is general and more suitable for signal processing. As an application, we present the DCT-II(discrete cosine transform-II) based on $2{\times}2$ Hadamard matrix and HWT(Haar Wavelete transform) based on $2{\times}2$ Haar matrix, analysis the performances of them and estimate them via the Lenna image simulation.

UV-Nanoimprint Lithography Using Fluorine Doped Diamond-Like Carbon Stamp (불화 함유 다이아몬드 상 탄소 스탬프를 사용하는 UV 나노 임프린트 리소그래피)

  • A fluorine-doped diamond-like carbon (F-DLC) stamp which has high contact angle, high UV-transmittance and sufficient hardness, was fabricated using the following direct etching method: F-DLC is deposited on a quartz substrate using DC and RF magnetron sputtering, PMMA is spin coated and patterned using e-beam lithography and finally, $O_2$ plasma etching is performed to transfer the line patterns having 100 nm line width, 100 nm line space and 70 nm line depth on F-DLC. The optimum fluorine concentration was determined after performing several pre-experiments. The stamp was applied successfully to UV-NIL without being coated with an anti-adhesion layer.

Comparison of Feature Selection Methods in Support Vector Machines (지지벡터기계의 변수 선택방법 비교)

  • Support vector machines(SVM) may perform poorly in the presence of noise variables; in addition, it is difficult to identify the importance of each variable in the resulting classifier. A feature selection can improve the interpretability and the accuracy of SVM. Most existing studies concern feature selection in the linear SVM through penalty functions yielding sparse solutions. Note that one usually adopts nonlinear kernels for the accuracy of classification in practice. Hence feature selection is still desirable for nonlinear SVMs. In this paper, we compare the performances of nonlinear feature selection methods such as component selection and smoothing operator(COSSO) and kernel iterative feature extraction(KNIFE) on simulated and real data sets.
