편심 경사 계단형 접합 다이를 사용한 알루미늄 봉재의 열간 압출압접 (Hot Extru-Pressure Welding of Aluminum Rods using Eccentric-inclined Stepped Welding Dies)

  • It was investigated that two rods of aluminium can be welded by hot extru-pressure welding method with stepped welding dies, and that the welding pressure on the welding surface were analyzed by computer simulation according to the stepped shapes of welding dies. It was known by computer simulation that welding pressure on the welding section of rods welded using stepped welding dies without eccentricity is lowerer than the welding pressure of rods welded using stepped welding dies with eccentricity of welding surface, and that the welding pressure on the welding section of rods using eccentric-inclined stepped welding dies is higher than the welding pressure of rods using stepped welding dies without eccentricity. And it was known by experiments that two rods of aluminium can be welded on the end sections by hot pressure welding method using eccentric-inclined stepped welding dies without relative rotational movement of contacted aluminium rods needed for the purpose of friction heating and pressure.

봉재의 표면소성 연마가공에 관한 연구 (A study on the plastic polishing process of cylindrical rods)

  • 본 연구에서는 축대칭 봉재의 원주상에 기계가공된 인공릿지가 공구를 통하여 진행할 때의 변형모델을 제시하고 이를 상계해법으로 해석하여 표면소성 연마가공이 되기 위한 릿지의 물결모양운동과 이 운동이 일어나지 못하고 릿지가 편평해지면서 소 멸되고 또는 전단이 되는 경우들에 대한 판정조건 및 한계영역을 설정하였다. 순동 및 연강 그리고 알루미늄등을 시험재료로하여 이론적으로 예측된 릿지의 세 가지 운동 에 대해 실험을 통하여 검증하였으며 물결모양운동으로 인한 가공물의 표면조도 개선 정도를 시험전후에 최대높이 표면조도의 크기로 측정하여 비교하였다. 또한 릿지의 물결모양운동으로 인하여 가공물의 표층부에 형성된 가공변질층의 깊이를 이론적으로 예측하여 실험과 비교하였다.

And it was known by experiments that two rods of aluminum can be welded on the end sections by hot extru-pressure welding method using stepped welding dies without relative rotational movement of contacted aluminum rods in the case of friction welding of rods.

  • 유도초음파는 박판이나 봉재와 같은 구조를 효율적으로 검사할 수 있는 초음파로 주목받고 있으며, 더불어 시험체를 비접촉으로 검사할 수 있는 기법이 개발되면서 다양한 분야에 응용하기 위해 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 비접촉식 초음파기법과 유도초음파의 장점을 결합하여 기존의 검사기법에 비해 효율적인 검사기법을 제안하고자 하였으며, 실험적인 검증을 위해 알루미늄 박판에 모의 부식결함을 가공하여 두께감육을 검출하고 평가하였다. 제안된 비접촉식 초음파기법으로는 EMAT을 이용하여 유도초음파를 발생 및 수신하였다. 선택된 유도초음파 모드의 분산거동특성에서 모드 컷-오프는 두께 감육을 검출할 수 있는 정성적인 파라미터이며, 군속도 변화는 두께 감육의 깊이를 정량적으로 평가할 수 있는 파라미터로 나타났다.

  • Aluminum alloys have low density, relatively high strength and yield strength, good plasticity, good machinability, and high corrosion and acid resistance. Therefore, they are suitable for large containers for the food, chemical and other industries. Large containers are often bodies of revolution consisting of shell courses, stiffening rings, heads and other elements joined by annular welds. Larger containers have longer welds and require greater leak-tightness and higher weld mechanical properties. The LNG tank consists of aluminum plates with various sizes, so its construction should by divided by several sections. Moreover, each section has its own sub-section consisted of several aluminum plates. To guarantee the quality of huge LNG tank, therefore, the precise control of plate dimension should by urgently needed in conjunction with the appropriate selection of process parameters such as cutting speed, depth of cut, rotational speed and so on. In this paper, a manufacturing system was developed to implement automatic circular tracking in height direction and automatic circular interpolation in depth of cut direction. Also, the neural network based on the backpropagation algorithm was used to predict the cutting quality and motor load related with the life time of the developed system. It was revealed that the manufacturing system and the neural network could be effectively applied to the bevelling process and to predict the quality of machined area and the motor load.

의료방사선 피폭선량 저감을 위한 맞춤형 차폐재 설계에 관한 연구 (The Study on Design of Customized Radiation Protective Layer for Medical Radiation Dose Reduction)

  • 최근 의료 분야에서의 불필요한 피폭을 체계적으로 관리해야 한다는 사회적 요구 증가와 더불어 차폐의 중요성이 대두되고 있는 실정이다. 하지만 현재 상용화된 제품은 다양한 의료방사선 분야보다 세분되어 있지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 최적화된 차폐재의 구조를 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 활용하여 제시하고자 하였다. 모의 추정 결과, 유방촬영 에너지(30 kVp) 스펙트럼에 대하여 단일 차폐재의 경우 $30{\mu}mPb$, 2 mmAl에서 90% 이상의 차폐율을 확인하였고, 이중차폐 구조에서는 0.03 mmPb와 1 mmAl의 설계 시 효율적인 것으로 판단되었다. 또한, 일반촬영 에너지(80 kVp) 스펙트럼에 대해서는 $340{\mu}mPb$, 30 mmAl에서 90% 이상의 차폐율을 확인하였으며, 이중차폐 구조에서는 0.3 mmPb와 1 mmAl의 설계가 유용할 것으로 사료된다. 이러한 결과는 향후 피폭저감을 위한 맞춤형 상용화 제품 개발에 대한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
