A Study on Effects of the Driver's Emotion on the Driving Behavior (운전자의 정서가 운전행동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 운전스트레스 대처행동을 중심으로)

  • The reasons of traffic accidents can be classified into the vehicle, road environment and human factors. In development of vehicle and road technologies, the human factor is the most important. The emotion research recently carried out showed that emotions play an important role in human judgment and decision making. They are also expected to partly determine driving behavior. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of drivers' emotions on their driving behavior. The results of this study showed that positive emotions do not affect driving behavior. As for negative emotions, however, safe driving(SD) and comfort driving(CD) factors have a negative correlation, and violence driving(VD) and regulation violation(RO) factors have a positive correlation. This study is significant as a basic study for establishing and determining a policy for reducing traffic accidents and for educating drivers.

  • Payload fairing(PLF) protects satellites and related equipment from the external environment. They are separated before the satellite separation. Payload fairing made of composite sandwich materials due to their considerable bending stiffness and strength-to-weight ratio. Payload fairing have compression, shear and bending load during the flight. In this study, To check the strength of PLF and connected part, structural test of PLF accomplished using an actuator and a fixture. Purpose of structural test is to verify the strength of PLF in force of separation spring and combination structural load applied. Test result shows that the PLF have an acceptable margin of safety for the combination structural load and force of separation spring.

  • This study was performed to survey and evaluate the contents of caffeine in commercial palatability foods by HPLC. The contents of caffeine in commercial palatability foods were 9.0~49.2 mg in black tea, 35.9~141.4 mg in coffee, 12.4~48.0 mg in green tea, 7.1 ~16.5 mg in brown rice green tea, 22.8 mg in cocoa tea, 10.3~25.0 mg in cola and 10.0~48.2 mg in ice bar(coffee) respectively. The contents of caffeine extracted from black tea, coffee(roasted beans) and green tea were rapidly increased for five minutes from the extraction initiation, and were not nearly changed after ten minutes. Moreover, the caffeine contents were increased until 10$0^{\circ}C$ of extraction temperature.

  • 현재 국내에는 하천시설물의 인증과 관련한 제도와 법령이 마련되어 있지 않다. 하천시설물과 관련된 인증 제도는 효율적인 하천시설물의 유지관리를 가능하게 하고, 치수 안전성 증대에 기여할 수 있다. 본 연구는 미국의 제방 인증(levee accreditation) 제도를 분석하여 국내에 적용하는 방안에 관한 것이다. 미국의 연방 재난 관리국(Federal Emergency Management Agency; FEMA)은 국가 홍수 보험 프로그램(National Flood Insurance Program; NFIP)을 관리하고 있는데, 그의 일환으로 제방 인증 제도를 시행하고 있다. 제방의 인증은 제내지를 보호하는 제방 시스템이 100년 빈도의 홍수에 대한 방어 능력이 있는지를 기술적으로 검토하는 것이다. 여기서 제방 시스템이란, 제방, 홍수벽, 수문 장치, 펌프시설, 암거, 내수 배제 시설 등 홍수로부터 제내지를 보호하기 위한 모든 시설을 포함한다. 미국은 제방 인증을 위한 제도로서 연방 규정 조례(code of federal regulation; CFR)를 두어 제방 시스템의 설계, 운영, 유지관리의 기준을 마련하였다. 제방 인증을 신청하는 기관은 연방 규정 조례에서 정의된 제방 시스템의 운영 및 유지관리에 관한 문서를 갖추어야하고, 공학적인 설계 기준에 대하여 면밀히 검토되어야 한다. 운영 및 유지관리에 관한 사항은 수문과 내수배제 시스템을 포함한 제방 시스템의 홍수 시 운영 지침과 운영실적, 유지보수 지침과 점검 보고서 등이다. 공학적인 설계 기준에 대한 검토사항은 제방의 여유고, 수문, 호안, 제방과 기초의 안정성, 침하, 내수배제에 관한 분석 결과이다. 이러한 제방의 인증에 필요한 기술적인 검토 자료와 관련 문서는 등록된 전문 기술자나 제방의 설계와 시공능력을 갖춘 연방 기관을 통해 보증(certification) 되어야 한다. 현재, 미국에서 제방의 보증을 결정하는 대표적인 기관은 미 공병단(U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; USACE)이다. 제방 보증의 유효기간은 최대 10년이지만 검사와 평가가 지속되고, 유효 기간 만료 전이라도 언제든지 재검토될 수도 있다. 또한, 제방 시스템 전체에 대하여 보증 여부를 결정하고, 개별 시설에 대한 보증이나 조건부 보증은 수행하지 않는다. 국내에 제방 인증 제도를 도입하기 위해서는 제방 인증에 관한 절차, 수행 기관, 수행 방법 등에 대한 규정과 제도가 마련되어야 하고, 현재 국내에서 수행되고 있는 하천시설물의 안전도 검사 방법을 포함한 평가 지표와 평가 기술에 대한 인증 표준화가 요구된다.

Development of Fast Side-impact Sensing Algorithm (고속 측면 충돌 감지 알고리즘의 개발)

  • Accident statistics shows that the portion of fatal occupant injuries due to side impacts is considerably high. The side impact usually leads to a severe intrusion of side structure into the passenger compartment. Furthermore, the safety zone for the side impact is relatively small compared to the front impact. Those kinds of physics for side impact frequently result in a fatal injury for the occupant. Therefore, NHTSA and EEVC are trying to intensify the regulation for the occupant protection against side impact. Both the regulation and recent market trends are asking for an installation of side airbag. There are several types of system configuration for side impact sensing. In this paper, we adopt the acceleration-based remote sensing method for the side airbag control system. We mainly focus on the development of hardware and crash discrimination algorithm of remote sensing unit. The crash discrimination algorithm needs fast decision of airbag firing especially for high-speed side impact such as FMVSS 214 and EEVC tests. It is also required to distinguish between low-speed fire and no-fire events. The algorithm should have a sufficient safety margin against any misuse situation such as hammer blow, door slam, etc. This paper introduces several firing criteria such as acceleration. velocity and energy criteria that use physical value proportional to crash severity. We have made a simulation program by using Matlab/Simulink to implement the proposed algorithm. We have conducted an algorithm calibration by using real crash data for 2,500cc vehicle. The crash performance obtained by the simulation was verified through a pulse injection method. It turned out that the results satisfied the system requirements well.

A Determination of Bias between Calculational Methods for the Criticality Safety Analysis of Spent Fuel Storage Pool with Burnup Credit (연소를 고려한 사용후핵연료저장조 핵임계 안전성분석에서 계산체제간의 편차결정)

  • A test is made for a method to determine reliable bias in the criticality safety analysis of spent fuel storage pool with turnup credit between the reference and rack criticality calculation methods. The spent fuel pool of Kori Unit 1 is conceptually redesigned to the most compact rack with turnup credit, and its multiplication factors are calculated depending on fuel enrichment and burnup, by the Monte Carlo code KENO-IV as a reference and by a two-dimensional collision probability code FATAC as a practical method. Then, the computed values with the help of the above two computer codes are compared to evaluate the bias and its trend in terms of multiplication factor on fuel enrichment and turnup. The result indicates that the bias can be determined with reliability basis but without any disadvantage in criticality safety margin compared with the conventional method.

Optimal Methodology of a Composite Leaf Spring with a Multipurpose Small Commercial Vans (다목적 소형 승합차 복합재 판 스프링의 적층 최적화 기법)

  • In this paper, design technique using genetic algorithms(GA) for design optimization of composite leaf springs is presented here. After the initial design has been validated by the car plate spring as a finite element model, the genetic algorithm suggests the process of optimizing the number of layers of composite materials and their angles. Through optimization process, the weight reduction process of leaf springs and the number of repetitions are compared to the existing algorithm results. The safety margin is calculated by organizing a finite element model to verify the integrity of the structure by applying an additive sequence optimized through the genetic algorithm to the structure. When GA is applied, layer thickness and layer angle of complex leaf springs have been obtained, which contributes to the achievement of minimum weight with appropriate strength and stiffness. A reduction of 65.6% original weight is reached when a leaf steel spring is replaced with a leaf composite spring under identical requirement of design parameters and optimization.

Structural Analysis of Spaceborne Two-axis Gimbal-type Antenna of Compact Advanced Satellite (차세대 중형위성용 2축 짐벌식 안테나의 구조해석)

  • A two-axis gimbal-type antenna for a Compact Advanced Satellite (CAS) is used to efficiently transmit high resolution image data to a ground station. In this study, we designed the structure of a two-axis gimbal-type antenna while applying a launch lock device to secure its structural safety under a launch environment. To validate the effectiveness of the structural design, a structural analysis of the antenna was performed. First, a modal analysis was performed to investigate the dynamic responses of the antenna with and without the mechanical constraints of the launch lock device. In addition, a quasi-static analysis was performed to confirm the structural safety of the antenna structure and bolt I/Fs between the antenna base and the satellite. The suitable range of constraint force on the launch lock device was also determined to ensure the structural safety and mechanical gapping of the ball & socket interfaces, which places multi-constraints on the azimuth and elevation stage of the antenna.

Analysis of the Sensitivity and Future Changes in Runoff Characteristic of the Urban Stream Using SWMM (SWMM모형을 이용한 도시하천의 민감도 및 미래 유출특성 분석)

  • 급속한 도시화와 산업화로 보수 및 유수기능이 감소하였고, 세계적인 기후변화로 국지성호우가 빈번히 발생하여 기존 우수관망시스템의 문제점이 야기되고 있다. 최근 발생하는 도시유역의 홍수 피해는 대부분이 내수에 의한 침수 피해로 이러한 피해를 감소시키기 위해서는 도시하천에 적합한 강우-유출모형을 이용하여 침수 위험 유역을 정확히 예측하여 사전 보강 및 예 경보를 수행하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 최근들어 잦은 침수피해가 발생한 도림천 유역을 대상으로 강우-유출모형인 XP-SWMM을 이용하여 민감도 및 미래 유출 특성변화 분석을 수행하였다. 첫 번째로, 지형자료 및 관거 자료, 2014년에 완공된 저류지 및 펌프시설 자료를 모두 적용하여 유역의 특성을 최대한 반영한 모형을 설계하고 실측유량과 모형유량을 비교하여 최적화된 모형임을 확인하였다. 두 번째로, 최적화된 모형의 매개변수를 기준으로 인자별 민감도 분석을 수행하여 현재 도림천의 유출특성을 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 미래 경향을 예측할 수 있는 인자인 강우량과 불투수율의 경향성을 반영하여 도림천 유역의 미래 유출특성(첨두유출량, 침수심, 침수면적, 홍수위)의 변화를 검토하였다. 민감도 분석결과 강우량을 20% 감소시켰음에도 최대 침수심과 침수면적이 3.772m, 침수면적이 $5.027km^2$로 여전한 내수침수가 발생하고 있어 도림천 유역이 치수로 부터 취약한 지역임을 확인하였다. 비정상성 빈도해석으로 강우를 산정하고 log형 회귀식으로 불투수율을 산정하여 도림천 유역의 미래 유출특성을 모의한 결과 2020년과 2030년의 최대침수심이 각각 4.9352m, 4.9954m로 현재의 최대 침수심(4.8093m)보다 평균 0.156m 증가하였다. 마지막으로 현재와 미래의 홍수위와 여유고를 이용하여 제방안전성 평가를 수행한 결과, 현재에도 전체구간이 안전구간으로 이루어져 있지 않으며 2030년으로 갈수록 안정단면은 평균 8.5% 감소하고 위험단면은 평균 17% 증가함을 확인하였다. 향후 본 연구의 결과를 이용하여 추후 침수피해 저감을 위한 대응방안 및 효과적인 대피소, 대피경로 수립 등에 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on the Effects of Personality Characteristics of A New Public Official on Academic Burnout (신임공무원의 성격특성이 학업소진에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • Public officials are volunteers for the people, and the police are in charge of the safety of the people. In particular, the marine safety of Korea, which has three sides of the sea, is very important. The education of maritime police is a very important factor due to the specificity and risk of the sea. In particular, since the new curriculum is linked to the job while in office, factors related to educational performance are more important. In this study, the relationship between personality characteristics and academic burnout was examined for 200 new maritime police officials. Among the five factors of personality characteristics, extroversion factors, neurotic factors, and emotional exhaustion factors were extroversion factors, neurotic factors, and cynicism factors, and extroversion factors, neurotic factors, and integrity factors. In particular, the five factors of personality characteristics that have the greatest influence on academic burnout were neurotic. For the educational satisfaction and effectiveness of the new maritime police officer, it is necessary to minimize the psychological margin and stress of the new maritime police officer.
