도로안전시설용 시선유도봉의 신뢰성 평가법 개발

  • 도로안전시설용 시선유도봉은 통상 도로에 설치되어 운전자의 시선을 유도하고 차선을 분리하는 용도로 사용된다. 이러한 시선유도봉은 주로 도로상에 설치되기 때문에 차량과 부딪히는 경우가 자주 발생하므로 제품의 내구성이 특히 요구된다. 종래의 시선유도봉에 대한 평가방법은 제품의 일부를 채취하여 재료의 기본 품질 성능만을 평가하였다. 그러나 현장의 도로관리를 담당하고 있는 수요기관에서는 빈번한 사고와 민원으로 인해 제품의 평가방법에 대한 문제 제기를 하였고, 완제품 상태로 신뢰성을 평가할 수 있는 방법 개발을 요구하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시선유도봉의 주요 고장 요인이 되는 차량 충돌에 의한 재질 파손, 바퀴 압축에 의한 회복 불능, 제품 표면에 부착되는 반사시트의 박리 및 변색에 대한 고장 메커니즘 분석하고, 이러한 고장을 재현할 수 있는 신뢰성 평가법을 개발하고자 하였다. 주요 고장 메커니즘 분석을 위해 국내.외 평가 기준을 조사하였으며, 특히 미국 AASHTO's (American Association of State Highway and Transportaion Officials)의 NTPEP (National Transportation Products Evaluation Program)에서 수행하고 있는 내구성 평가 방법에 대한 사례 조사를 통해 국내 적용을 검토해 보았다. 또한 서울시설관리공단의 협조로 가장 주요한 고장의 요인으로 꼽히는 차량 충돌 시험을 올림픽대로 내 조각공원에서 실시하였다. 그 결과 시험실에서 고장을 재현할 수 있는 신뢰성 평가 장비 개발의 필요성이 부각되었으며, 차량 충돌과 바퀴 압축을 모사할 수 있는 신뢰성 평가 장비를 제작하였다. 시선유도봉의 신뢰성 평가는 기본적인 품질성능평가 이외에 신규로 개발된 충격시험(고온, 저온, 반사지)과 굴곡압축시험, 반사지와 재질의 내후성 시험을 실시하였다. 또한 국내 9개사(社) 10개 제품에 대한 신뢰성 비교평가를 실시한 결과, 제품의 내구성에 중요 척도가 되는 신뢰성 평가 기준을 설정할 수 있었고, 합리적인 제품의 가격 수준과 품질 수준에 대한 신뢰성 가이드를 제공할 수 있었다.

  • 주어진 조건 하에서 의도하는 기간 동안 요구된 기능을 적절하게 수행하기 위해서는 제품의 신뢰성 확보가 무엇보다도 중요하다. 신뢰성 확보를 위해서는 제품의 안전성 및 내구성에 대한 고려가 충분히 이루어져야 한다. 고빈도 개폐를 목적으로 사용되는 전자기 접촉기 또한 제품의 안전성 및 성능의 신뢰성이 중요한 제품이라 할 수 있다. 그래서 이를 검증하기 위한 전자기 접촉기의 부하개폐동작성능에 대한 평가가 중요한 시험항목으로 부각되고 있다. 그리고 개폐특성을 평가하기 위한 부하는 규정된 과도회복전압특성을 얻을 수 있도록 조정되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 부하측 중성점 접지 방식의 부하 회로 조정방법을 사용하여 전자기 접촉기의 개폐성능을 평가하기 위한 과도회복전압의 진동주파수와 진폭율의 특성을 고찰하였다.

Evaluation of the Seismic Safely of Concrete Gravity Dams (콘크리트 중력식 댐의 내진 안전성 평가)

  • Recently, the seismic safety evaluation of concrete gravity dams is raised due to the damage or the failure of dams occurred by the 1995 Kobe earthquake, the 1999 Taiwan earthquake, etc. Failre of dam may incur loss of life and properties around the dam as well as damage to dam structure itself. Recently, there has been growing much concerns about 'earthquake-resistance' or 'seismic safety'of existing concrete gravity dams designed before current seismic design provisions were implemented. This research develops three evaluation levels for seismic safety of concrete gravity dams on the basis of the evaluation method of seismic safety of concrete gravity dams in U.S.A., Japan, Canada, and etc. level 1 is a preliminary evaluation which is for purpose f screening. Level 2 is a pseudo-static evaluation on the basis of the seismic intensity method. Finally, level 3 is a detail evaluation by the dynamic analysis. Evaluation results on existing concrete gravity dam on operation showed good seismic performance under the designed artificial earthquake.

  • INERGEN 의 성능시험으로서 가장 확실한 방법은 직접적인 전량 방출시험이 최선의 방법이나 고비용, 안전문제 및 시험절차의 난이성 등의 이유로 NFPA 2001 이나 선급에서는 직접적인 방출 시험을 가급적 규제하고 있다. 지금까지는 이론적 계산을 통한 서류제출로 대체하거나, 간접 시험방법인 Door Fan Test 를 통하여 소화설비의 적정성을 평가하는 것이 보편적이었다. 하지만 이번 WOODSIDE 선주사의 전례없는 요구로 SHI 에서는 전량 방출시험을 I,G.G. Room 에 대해 수행하게 되었다. 본 자료에서는 조선설게자 관점에서 Full scale test 를 통한 Inergen 성능시험 최적화 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

Performance Evaluation Method for Facility Inspection and Diagnostic Technologies (첨단기술을 활용한 시설물 점검 및 진단 기술 검·인증을 위한 성능평가 방법론)

  • Purpose: This paper proposes a performance evaluation method for state-of-the-art facility inspection/diagnostic equipment through a trend survey of equipment and standardization systems of US, Japan, and Korea. This paper also suggests the priority of developing a performance evaluation method through expert interviews and surveys. Method: In this study, report for the last 5 years of FMS, state-of-the-art equipment of facility maintenance companies/safety diagnosis specialist agencies and papers/research reports/patents of NTIS were analyzed to identify recent trends of facility inspection/diagnostic equipment usages. standardization system of US, Japan, and Korea were analyzed to figure out a suitable form of a performance evaluation method for the domestic situation. And expert interview and survey were conducted to identify the priority of developing a performance evaluation method. Result: The performance evaluation method must be developed by the shape that only evaluates performance, regardless of types of equipment, on inspection item level for creative technology development. The priority of developing the performance evaluation method was identified as crack detection of concrete for durability evaluation and displacement/deformation/fatigue detection of concrete and steel for stability evaluation. Conclusion: The performance evaluation method will be developed firstly for the crack detection of concrete for durability evaluation and displacement/deformation/fatigue detection of concrete/steel for stability evaluation. In order to promote creative technology development, the performance evaluation method should be developed in a form that provides standardized specimens or testbeds and can be applied regardless of types of technologies.

A Study on the Guideline in the Electrical and Mechanical Safety of the Wearable U-Health devices (착용형 유헬스 디바이스의 전기·기계적 안전성 가이드라인 개발 연구)

  • The combination of medical devices and IT convergence technology has made it possible to check health whenever and wherever people want. The recent development of various Ubiqutous Healthcare medical devices ensures the convenient measurements of health variations in daily lives and at home. However, considering that there is a growing prevalence of the devices and a great interest in the development of Ubiqutous Healthcare device, it is urgent to secure the stability and to establish performance evaluation. Therefore, it is needed to develop standard testing methods for the stability and the performance evaluation on before and after selling products. In this paper, I studied the standard testing method of both compulsory tests and performance evaluation which are for the electric stability evaluation on Ubiqutous Healthcare devices.

Research on the Efficient Manufacturing Method of Photocatalyst Concrete according to the Type and Mixing Ratio of Photocatalyst (광촉매 종류 및 혼입률에 따른 효율적 광촉매 콘크리트의 제조 방법에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we evaluated the mechanical properties and nitrogen oxides removal characteristics according to the type and incorporation rate of the photocatalyst and investigated the method of separated placement for the production of economical and efficient photocatalyst concrete. As a result, when the photocatalyst incorporation rate was 5%, the highest compressive strength and elastic modulus were measured. As a result of evaluating the nitrogen oxides removal performance by the photocatalytic reaction, as the photocatalyst incorporation rate increased, the nitrogen oxide removal rate increased. At this time, the nitrogen oxides removal performance of photocatalyst P-25 was better than the NP-A. In consideration of economic efficiency, we have provided a method of separated placement for casting a constant thickness of concrete surface with photocatalyst concrete and evaluated the integrated performance at this time. As a result, it appears to be equal to or higher than mechanical performance and durability performance as compared with Plain, and it is judged that the integrated behavior is satisfied.

  • The electronic medical device industry and the relevant market have been greatly expanded owing to various factors, such as the advent of the aged society and the spread of the desire for well-being in developed countries, and rapid development of China, India and other emerging markets. The electrical stimulator is one of electronic medical devices most commonly used in homes. The electrical stimulator is widely used for pain relief, rehabilitation, muscle conditioning and others. Since it is mainly used in homes, it is very important to assure the safety and performance for protection of users. However, there is no guideline on evaluation of safety and performance of such electrical stimulator for home use. In this study, various local and foreign references were reviewed to develop the internationally harmonized procedures for safety and performance evaluation of the electrical stimulator and test items, specifications and methods are proposed. In addition, such proposed test items were validated to decide the internationally harmonized tests for safety and performance evaluation. This study will contribute to improvement of quality and safety of electrical stimulators for home use and help the Korean medical device industry have the international competitiveness.

Study on Seismic Performance Evaluation and Verification of Seismic Safety for Power Cable Tunnels (개착식 전력구의 내진성능 평가 및 내진 안전성 검증)

  • In this paper, the seismic performance evaluation was performed on 100 existing open-cut power cable tunnels, including ones that did not consider seismic design, in order to verify that the government's demand level (seismic special grade, 0.22 g). The results of the seismic performance evaluation show that most of the tunnels have seismic performance of 0.3 to 1 g, satisfying the level of the seismic special grade and securing the seismic safety. Meanwhile, the earthquake response analysis and structural test were performed to verify the validity of the method and the results of the seismic performance evaluation of the tunnels by the response displacement method, and to verify their seismic safety. As a result, the relative displacement due to the response displacement method under the 0.22 g earthquake was conservative than the results of the earthquake response analysis, and the results of load-displacement curves and response modification coefficient calculation by real scale structural tests showed the safety of the tunnels.

  • In this paper, a method is proposed to accurately and efficiently estimate the equivalent added mass of hydro-dynamic pressure on dam floodgates subjected to earthquake loading. The present method is based on a relatively-simple procedure using on-site vibration measurement and finite element frequency analysis, which is sufficiently practical to be used in the earthquake resistance performance evaluation of dam floodgates.
