Cross-Sectional Imaging of Elastic Modulus for Railway Trackbed under Ballast for Identification of Potential Settlement (침하가능성 확인을 위한 자갈도상 철도노반의 탄성계수 단층영상화)

  • Recently a limited section of trackbed with ballast at KTX railway were reported to have settled down and led to problems such as reduced speed and passenger discomfort. Therefore, an urgent remedy for the settled trackbed is required to recover normal operation of KTX trains. In this paper, a new technique is proposed to visualize the elastic modulus of cross sections at railway trackbeds under ballast for practical identification of potential settlement. The proposed technique is based on ICSW technique, enabling use of impact source and overcoming inherent limitations of CSW method. To verify validity and feasibility of the proposed method, the method was employed to construct cross-sectional images of elastic modulus of two railway trackbeds and compared with other tests such as SASW, PBT, DCP and portable FWD tests.

  • Fireworks display is called as younwha in korean, pokjuk in chinese, hanabi in japanese and fireworks display in English. Fireworks is a kind of art calling as engineering art program that presents its artistic sense by making up light, sound, heat, form, smoke, smoke screen, time delay and kinetic energy etc. which are made by combustion and deflagrations of explosives. Korea's fireworks skill is world class. In 1980s, we already developed the skills. After 2010 year, It would develop as Nano-biotechnology considering its environmental safety passing by 1990s' grow fully step. After pleasant fireworks, it requires a environmental pollution control measure, ability of emergency state control, management of storing place, a blind shell and waste disposal and citizenship elevation etc. This paper indicated around fireworks the present conditions, environmental pollution buzz, direction of development and plan.

  • 정부는 그동안 항공정책을 수립하고 시행함에 있어서 '항공운송'과 같은 경쟁력 있는 부문만을 특정하여 중장기적인 발전전략을 수립하여 온 것이 사실이다. 지방공항은 처음부터 물적, 인적 자원을 수송하는 규모나 주변 환경여건에 있어 국제공항을 따라갈 수 없는 일정한 한계를 가지고 있다. 지방공항의 적자문제를 국제공항의 목표치에 두는 것 자체가 이치에 맞지 않기 때문이다. 그러므로 지방공항은 국제공항과는 다른 관점의 항공 정책이 절대적으로 필요하다. 국가전체의 운송기능 향상을 위한 종합적인 대책도 지방 공항에 적용할 필요가 있지만 지방 공항 고유의 지방자치단체와의 협력을 통한 특색 있는 공항 역할을 재정립하는 것도 필요한 것이다. 한편 항공 스포츠의 역사는 60여년에 이르고 있으나 정부 관련기관의 관심 부족과 활성화 하려는 의지부족으로 여전히 침체되어 있는 것이 사실이다. 그런데 본 연구에서 항공 스포츠의 특징상 공항과의 연계성을 검토하여 보니 상당히 긍정적인 Win-Win 전략이 될 수 있을 뿐 아니라 지방공항과 항공 스포츠 양자가 실제 활성화될 수 있는 공항정책이 구체화될 수 있음을 알게 되었다. 다만 항공 스포츠에도 종목이 다양하므로 지방공항의 특성상 적정한 스포츠 항목과의 연계가 요구된다. 그리하여 본 연구는 항공 스포츠를 활용한 지방공항 활성화 방안으로 항공 스포츠에 적합한 지방공항 요건을 접근성, 안전성, 편의성으로 나누어 검토하고 지방공항과 접목 가능한 항공 스포츠를 제시하고자 하는 가설을 설정하였다. 더 나아가 항공 스포츠를 통한 지방공항 활성화의 기대효과로서 지방공항의 활성화, 지방연계산업의 활성화, 지방공항의 발전 가능성에 대한 가설을 설정하였다. 본 논문은 지방공항 활성화를 위한 전략체계를 항공스포츠 동호인 즉 조종자들의 기지선택 요인을 중심으로 실증분석을 통하여 정리하였고, 일반인들의 인식과 전문가 의견을 토대로 지방공항의 활성화를 위하여 항공스포츠와 전략적 제휴를 하고자 할 경우 관련기관들이 고려할 부분과 운영체계 개선방안을 제시함으로써 구체적인 정책적 제언이 될 수 있도록 하였다.

The Evaluation of Detention Reservoir Safety using Equi-Flooding Line Theory (등위험도선이론(等危險度線理論)에 의한 유수지(遊水池) 안전도평가(安全度評價))

  • Based on the equi-flooding line theory, this study suggests method of evaluating safety of detent tion reservoirs with drainage pumping facilities in Seoul metropolitan area, and derives equi-flooding lines according to destruction frequency for each detention reservoir. In most part of detention reservoirs, its flood prevention are so much dependent upon drainage capacity that inland flooding prevention can be serious problems in case of its malfunction. In this study, the detention reservoirs which are below 5 year destruction frequency estimated as 29.3%, and below 10 year as 39.6% of the total. To improve reservoir safety, the detention reservoir capacities (including drainage and pumping capacity) should be upgraded above 20 year in its destruction frequency, and its reinforcement capacities are calculated.

  • Understanding the characteristics of truck-involved crashes is of keen interest because such crashes are highly associated with greater potential leading to severer injury. The purpose of this study is to identify factors affecting injury severity of truck-involved crashes on freeways. In addition, a binary logistic regression technique is applied to identify causal factors affecting truck crash severity under normal and adverse weather conditions. Major findings from the analyses are discussed with truck operations strategies including speed enforcement, variable speed limit, and truck lane restriction, from the safety enhancement point of view. The results of this study would be useful for developing traffic control and operations strategies to reduce truck-involved crashes and injury severity in practice.

  • This study was the effect of depression, anxiety, stress on suicidal ideation for some of the elderly living in the Youngdong county. Then it establishes alternatives for elderly suicide prevention and community improvements to help improve the quality of life of the elderly. For this study, a random sampling of 367 people aged sixty or older living in the eleven villages in Youngdong county participated in a survey. As a result, depression, anxiety and stress affects suicid in the positive direction. The correlation between depression, anxiety, stress, and suicidal ideation was significant. The relationship between depression and anxiety was highest and the probability is less than 0.05. As an alternative to the Elderly Suicide Prevention, First, mental health census and management for elderly, Second, a need to provide jobs for the elderly. Third, it requires a tight safety net of health and safety officer with reinforcements. Fourth, there is a need for enhanced recognition of life-love.

  • Because the networks and systems become more complex, the implementation of the security countermeasures for important Information Systems becomes more critical consideration. The designers and developers of the security policy should recognize the importance of building security countermeasures by using both technical and non-technical methods, such as personnel and operational facts. Security countermeasures may be made for formulating an effective overall security solution to address threats at all layers of the information infrastructure. But all these works can be done after assuming who is the threat agent. In this paper we identify the treat agents for information systems, summarize the characteristics of threat agents, and apply weighting factors to them.

Unmanned aerial vehicle routing algorithm using vehicular communication systems (차량 통신 시스템 기반 UAV 라우팅 알고리즘)

  • The prosperity of IT technologies and the removal of restrictions regarding Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones, have driven growth in their popularity. However, without a proper solution to the problem of accident avoidance for UAVs, this popularity increases the potential for collisions between UAVs and between UAV and terrain features. These collisions can occur because UAVs to date have flown using radio control or image recognition based autonomous navigation. Therefore, we propose efficient UAV routing schemes to tackle the collision problem using vehicular communication systems. Performance evaluation by computer simulation shows that the proposed methods effectively reduce the collision probability and improve the routing efficiency of the UAV. Furthermore, the proposed algorithms are compatible and can be directly applied with small overhead to the commercial vehicular communication system implementation.

Comparison of Nash's Instaneous Unit Hydrograph According to Shape Factor (유역의 형상계수에 따른 Nash 순간단위유량도 비교)

  • 수문학 또는 하천유출은 크게 기후학적은 인자 (온도, 바람, 상대습도 등)나 지형학적 인자 (지표면 경사, 흙의 종류, 하천의 면적, 하천의 길이 등)들에 의해 결정된다. 지형학적 인자들 중인 하천의 면적 그리고 주하천의 길이에 의한 영향은 비첨두홍수량의 과 수문곡선의 모양에 크게 관여되어 있다. 일반적으로 유역형상이 좁고 주하천의 길이(유로연장)가 긴 하천의 경우 단위면적당 유출량과 시간과의 그래프에서 수문곡선은 넓고 낮은 형태 모습을 지니지만 유역의 형상이 넓고 주하천의 길이기 짧은 하천은 수문곡선이 좁고 높은 형태의 모습을 가진다. 이러한 유역형상의 차이에 따라 Horton (1932)은 유역의 면적과 주하천의 길이의 비로 형상계수 (Shape Factor)의 공식을 제시하였다. 유역면적에 비해 유로연장이 길면 형상계수가 작아지고 첨두홍수량이 작아지는 반면 유역면적에 비해 유로연장이 짧을수록 형상계수가 커져 첨두홍수량이 커지는 형상을 발견할 수 있다. 형상계수와 비첨두홍수량의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 상수 전용댐 안전성 대책 및 치수능력 증대 방안연구 (2008) 보고서에서 적용한 유역들을 비교하였다. 이 보고서에 있는 38개의 유역들 중에서 형상계수가 0< <1 인 유역들을 선택한 후 형상계수와 지속시간별 비첨두홍수량의 관계 그리고 유역면적과 지속시간별 비첨두홍수량의 관계를 도시하였다. 추세선에 의한 결정계수인 $R^2$ 의 값을 비교하여 형상계수와 비첨두홍수량과의 관계를 조명하였다. 또한, 형상계수에 따른 순간단위도의 첨두시간 및 첨두유량을 비교하기 위하여 유역면적이 $300m^2$내외이며, 서로 다른 형상계수를 갖는 유역을 선정하여 연구를 진행하였다. 대상유역의 관측값을 이용하여 Nash모형을 적용한 순간단위도를 산정하였으며, 형상계수에 따른 첨두시간 및 첨두유량의 비교분석을 수행하였다.
