An Experimental Study on Sidewalk on the Bridge Bracket Section to Optimize (교량 보도부 브라켓 단면의 최적화를 위한 실험적 연구)

  • 통상 교량구조물은 차도부와 보도부 및 그 부속시설로서 난간 및 연석부 등으로 구성되는데, 자동차 전용도로의 경우 보도부가 설치되지 않게 되고, 국내의 국도 및 지방도상의 많은 교량이 차도부와 보도부의 별도의 구분이 없이 보행자가 연석부 위로 통행하거나 여의치 않을 경우 난간에 기대어 통행하는 경우가 일반적이어서 안전사고의 위험에 직접 노출되는 경우가 많다. 이에 국토해양부에서는 최근 "도로의 구조 및 시설기준에 관한 규칙"을 개정하여 국내의 보행자 관련 교통사고로 인한 사망자가 전체 교통사고 사망자의 약 절반을 차지하는 실정을 고려하여 보행자의 안전한 통행로 확보를 통해 보행공간의 근본적인 개선이 불가피한 실정임을 시사 하였다. 이에 국내에서는 교량 보도부의 확장에 대한 관심이 높은 실정이며, 현재 보도부 확장에 대한 시공이 활발하게 이뤄지고 있다. 그러나 기존 교량에 보도부를 신설 혹은 확장함에 있어서 보도부 부재의 설치 간격 및 필요한 앵커볼트의 수량 및 부재의 성능 평가에 대한 기준이 명확하게 이뤄지지 않은 상태에서 설치되어져 왔었다. 기존에 시공되던 H-형강의 브라켓 단면의 경우 브라켓 단면의 중량이 커서 안정성 및 시공성이 떨어지며 과다한 앵커볼트의 체결 및 브라켓 단면의 과다설계로 인한 공사기간 및 비용의 증대를 가져오는 문제점이 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 교량 보도부의 확장 및 신설에 있어서 보도부 부재의 설치간격의 적정성 및 브라켓의 최적화를 위한 브라켓의 성능평가 시험을 수행하였다. 브라켓의 성능평가 시험은 1차 2차 3차 시험으로 나누어 진행되었으며, 1차시험은 H-형강의 브라켓단면을 원형강관으로서의 대체 가능성을 확인하였고, 2차 시험에서는 원형강관의 브라켓 단면의 앵커볼트수량의 최적화에 대한 시험을 수행하였으며, 3차 시험은 최적화된 브라켓 단면에 프리스트레싱의 도입으로 반력 및 인발력의 감소효과를 확인하는 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 수행결과 기존의 설계 및 시공방법이 과다 설계가 이뤄졌음을 판단하였고, 브라켓 단면의 최적화를 통하여 기존 시공방법에 비해 시공성, 안전성, 경제성을 높일수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Development of Stability Index for Vessel Operators Support System (선박 운항자 지원 시스템용 선박 복원성능 지수 개발)

  • All ships should ensure stability in accordance with IMO regulations. However, GM is only used to determine ship stability because it takes a lot of time to validate all regulations. This is a problem given that the safety of vessels cannot be guaranteed, potentially leading to accidents. There is a need for a more intuitive and comprehensive method of confirming the stability of ships. This study developed a stability index that expresses ship stability in one value. An index equation is defined based on the 6 stability criteria for ships prescribed by IMO and the result of calculating the ship stability of a model ship. A stability index has been derived for each loading condition by applying the index equation to the same ship. It can clearly be seen that this stability index appropriately explains the criteria. In other words, it is possible to assess ship stability with one value and confirm whether the ship stability satisfies IMO regulations. This index will help masters and officers more easily and accurately check ship stability.

  • The purpose of access control is to prevent computing resources from illegal behavior such as leakage, modification, and destruction by unauthorized users. As the cloud computing environment is expanded to resource sharing services using virtualization technology, a new security model and access control technique are required to provide dynamic and secure cloud-based computing services. The virtualization management convergence access control model provides a flexible user authorization function by applying the dynamic privilege assignment function to the role based access control mechanism. In addition, by applying access control mechanism based on security level and rules, we solve the conflict problem in virtual machine system and guarantee the safeness of physical resources. This model will help to build a secure and efficient cloud-based virtualization management system and will be expanded to a mechanism that reflects the multi-level characteristics.

  • According to "A guide Book to Highway Design", most road elements are chosen based on a certain design speed in order to ensure obtaining safe and smooth traffic operating. However, road safety in practical way is corelative to not only all element of roads but also road shape, for example, between straight line and curves line and between curved lines. Also, it is relates to alignments such as horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, and cross section. That is, the practical road design should be examined in both sides of 3 dimension and consecutiveness as the practical road is a 3-dimensional successive object. The paper presents a concept for acceleration to evaluate consistency of road considering actual road shape on 3-dimension. Acceleration of vehicle is influential to road consistency based on running state of vehicle and state of drivers. Especially, the magnitude of acceleration is a quite influential element to drivers. Based on above, the acceleration on each point 3-D road can be calculated and then displacement can be done. Computation of acceleration means total calculation on each axis.

Study on Fatigue Life Estimation for Aircraft Engine Support Structure (항공기 엔진 지지구조물의 피로수명 해석에 관한 연구)

  • The fatigue life is estimated while determining the reliability of aircraft structures. In this study, the estimation of fatigue life was carried out on the basis of a cumulative damage theory; the working S-N curve and the equivalent stress on the engine support structure significantly affect the safety of the aircraft. The maximum stress observed was 1,080 MPa in the case of scissors link under crash load condition, and there was a 5% margin for the allowable stress corresponding to the temperature reduction factor. The maximum stress was 876 MPa, and the stress equation coefficient had a maximum value of 0.019 MPa/N in the case of scissors link under fatigue loads. In the results of the fatigue life analysis, the safety life in a fretting area of scissors link upper part was 416,667 flight hour, and other parts showed to infinite life. Therefore, it was demonstrated that the fatigue life requirement of aircraft engine support structure (scissors link, straight link) could be satisfied.

Analysis of Death Accidents of Hazardous and Dangerous Works defined in Regulation for Employment Restriction and Special Education for Safety and Health (유해·위험작업의 취업제한에 관한 규칙 및 특별안전보건교육 대상작업의 사망재해 분석에 관한 연구)

  • With the changes of industrial structure, contents and types in hazardous and dangerous works have been changed considerably. However, the hazardous and dangerous works by defined "Regulation for the hazardous and dangerous work employment restriction" and "Special education for safety and health"have not been amended over twenty years. This study aimed to identify the recent trends of the works by analyzing the death accidents cases from 2004 to 2013 and to present the management methods about future hazardous and dangerous works. The results showed that amount of 1,972 cases among 11,513 death accidents were equivalent to the works presented by "Regulation for the hazardous and dangerous work employment restriction". The amount of death accidents in 'Work of using construction equipment following construction machinery management act' was biggest among the death accidents cases and that of 'Work of handling pressure vessels following high-pressure gas safety control act' didn't show up. For the works in "Special education for safety and health"amount of 1,650 death accidents cases were equivalent. The amount of death accidents in 'Work involving a crane with a capacity of 1 ton or more or work which is carried out with a crane or hoist with a capacity of less than 1 ton in a workplace having at least 5 such machines' presented by "Special education for safety and health"was biggest. Also, death accidents case didn't occurred in three works presented by "Special education for safety and health". It was analyzed that works with low death accidents cases should be needed to study thoroughly the whole disaster research involving nonfatal accidents. Proposal of Rotating Stability Assessment Formula for an Interlocking Caisson Breakwater Subjected to Wave Forces (파랑하중에 대한 인터로킹 케이슨 방파제의 회전 안정성 평가식 제안)

  • The rotational stability of an interlocking caisson breakwater was studied. Using the analytical solution for the linear wave incident to the infinite breakwater, the phase difference effect of wave pressures in the direction of the breakwater baseline is considered, and Goda's wave pressure formula in the design code is adopted to consider the nonlinearity of the design wave. The rotational safety factor of the breakwater was defined as the ratio of the rotational frictional resistance moment due to caisson's own weight and the acting rotational moment due to the horizontal and vertical wave forces. An analytical solution for the rotational center point location and the minimum safety factor is presented. Stability assessment formula were proposed to be applicable to all design wave conditions used in current port and harbor structure design such as regular waves, irregular waves and multi-directional irregular waves.

VR Theme Park Regulatory Improvement Plan (VR 테마파크 규제개선방안)

  • This study aims to analyze the cases of VR space to improve the regulations. The space is divided according to the multi-use business act when the VR simulator and the VR game are simultaneously installed in a single space. It is necessary to amend the rules of the Tourism Promotion Act so that it can operate at a certain area of the youth game room subject to the Game Industry Law. Amendments that do not compartmentalize a space partition in the Multi-use Business Act should be carried out simultaneously. This is safer alternative by collective management rather than by the safety applied within a limited space by eliminating the compartment by industry. This is a legal amendment that allows VR simulator and VR game to be operated in the same space even in small sized amusement facilities such as other amusement facilities. This regulatory improvement plan is expected to help the activation of small sized VR theme parks.

  • DRM is the ability to brand digital contents with features that ensure copy Protection and affect the way in which digital contents are played back. DRM is a technology that enables the secure distribution, promotion and sale of digital contents on the Internet. The DRM Client System that operates on the untrusted user environments has to meet the requirements of the contents owner, including copyright and contents protection. After the DRM Client System is installed on the untrusted user environments, it verifies and plays digital contents. With these procedures it cuties out user authentication, contents decryption, and license management. During these procedures, the sensitive data, including authentication information, decryption data and license data, must be secured against any illegal access from users. The goal of this thesis is to introduce the implementation of Secure Storage Device which can protect user's authentication key, cryptographic key, and license data in safe where the DRM Client System is running.

  • Objectives: Among the regulations that have recently attracted a lot of social attention in Regulation on Occupational Safety and Health Standards, we would like to specifically present the reasons why even companies with strong will to comply with regulations that are not effective or entail a number of legal problems, and suggest ways to improve them. Methods: The facts were confirmed and identified through various methods such as interviews and meetings with labor inspectors who enforce the Regulation on Occupational Safety and Health Standards and safety officials at industrial sites experiencing them. Results: Due to the lack of effectiveness in Regulation on Occupational Safety and Health Standards, there are not a few areas that do not function properly as a preventive standard. Although operating the regulatory nature of punishment as an administrative guideline without basing it on Regulation on Occupational Safety and Health Standards is a direct violation of the principles of the administration of the rule of law, there are many expedient ways to replace what should be placed in this rule as just an administrative guideline. Conclusions: It should be prioritized to explicitly stipulate effective regulations within the Regulation on Occupational Safety and Health Standards. In addition, as regulations on occupational safety and health standards play a large part in preventing industrial accidents, comprehensive and practical measures are indispensable rather than fragmented and formal measures to ensure that these rules function properly in the prevention industrial accidents.
