안면신경마비(facial nerve paralysis)는 주로 편측성으로 발생하는 안면신경장애에 의한 안면표정근의 마비를 뜻한다. 이러한 안면신경마비는 중추성 안면신경마비와 말초성 안면신경마비 두 가지로 나뉜다. 안면신경마비의 증상으로는 이환측, 구각부의 처짐 및 침을 흘리는 등 입 주위의 증상이 있어 안면표정의 변화를 일으킨다.[1] 본 논문은 사진을 입력 받아 얼굴영역에서 입 특징점을 추출하여 입력 받은 데이터가 안면신경마비 환자인지 아닌지 판단하고자 한다.

한의학에서 안면은 인체 내부의 생리적, 병리적 변화를 반영하는 중요한 기관으로 망진을 통해 얻은 안면으로부터의 정보는 진단의 주요 요소로 이용되고 있다. 하지만 안면 진단의 편리함과 비침습적인 특성 및 결과의 효용성에도 불구하고 진단의 객관화, 표준화 문제로 인해 널리 사용되지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 안면 진단의 정량화, 과학화 연구의 일환으로서, 표준화 된 안면 영상을 획득하고 주변환경 및 광원의 영향을 최소화 할 수 있는 색상 보정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한, 보정된 영상을 이용하여 진단에 필요한 안면 영역을 추출하고 영역을 분할하여 각 분할된 안면 영역별 컬러 특징 및 변화 정도를 수치적으로 확인할 수 있는 알고리즘을 함께 제안하고 있다. 이는 자동화된 안면 진단 시스템을 만들기 위한 선행연구로서의 의미를 가지며, 객관적이고 표준화된 안면 진단을 가능하게 할 것이다.

Hemifacial spasm is a distressing condition characterized by involuntary, intermittent, unilateral twitching of all or parts of the muscles innervated by the facial nerve. This occurrence is most common in middle-aged women. Because etiology of idiopathic hemifacial spasm has remained undefined, no causative agent nor reliable treatment has been established. This report describes a case of CT guided chemical facial nerve block for the treatment of hemifacial spasm. An injection of small amount(0.1 ml) of alcohol(95%) provided relief of the facial spasms.

In this paper, a study on facial movements are analyzed in terms of opposite emotion stimuli by image processing of Kinect facial image. To induce two opposite emotion pairs such as "Sad - Excitement"and "Contentment - Angry" which are oppositely positioned onto Russell's 2D emotion model, both visual and auditory stimuli are given to subjects. Firstly, 31 main points are chosen among 121 facial feature points of active appearance model obtained from Kinect Face Tracking SDK. Then, pixel changes around 31 main points are analyzed. In here, local minimum shift matching method is used in order to solve a problem of non-linear facial movement. At results, right and left side facial movements were occurred in cases of "Sad" and "Excitement" emotions, respectively. Left side facial movement was comparatively more occurred in case of "Contentment" emotion. In contrast, both left and right side movements were occurred in case of "Angry" emotion.

중안면부의 골절은 심미적으로나 기능적으로 많은 문제를 야기할 뿐아니라 두개부와 연관되어 뇌손상의 가능성을 가지므로 생명과 직접적인 연관을 갖는다고 할수 있다. 산업사회의 고도의 발달로 인하여 자동차의 보급이 증가하고 그에 따라 교통사고의 절대수가 증가하고 안면부 골절환자가 증가추세에 있다고 볼 수 있다. 때문에 구강악안면외과의사로서 중안면부의 골절에 관심을 기울여야 할 것으로 생각된다. 중안면부 골절 가운데 비골을 포함한 안와 근심벽의 쉽게 일어나며 골절에 포함된 해부학적 구조물들이 복잡하기 때문에 골절후에 기능적 이상이 쉽게 발생될 수 있다. 본 과에서 처치한 중안면 골절 환자중 비골을 포함한 안와 근심벽의 골절환자를 경험한 바 이에 보고하는 바이다.

We used cervicofacial flap in reconstruction of Cheek detects with good results. So we recommended its use in reconstruction of large cheek defects.

Facial motor evoked potential (FMEP) by multi-pulse transcranial electrical stimulation (mpTES) can complement free-running electromyography (EMG) and direct facial nerve stimulation to predict the functional integrity of the facial nerve during cerebello-pontine angle (CPA) tumor surgery. The purpose of this paper is to examine the standardized test methods and the usefulness of FMEP as a predictor of facial nerve function and to minimize the incidence of facial paralysis as an aftereffect of surgery. TES was delivered through electrode Mz (cathode) - M3/M4 (anode), and extracranially direct distal facial muscle excitation was excluded by the absence of single pulse response (SPR) and by longer onset latency (more than 10 ms). FMEP from the orbicularis oris (o.oris) and the mentalis muscle simultaneously can improve the accuracy and success rate compared with FMEP from the o.oris alone. Using the methods described, we can effectively predict facial nerve outcomes immediately after surgery with a reduction of more than 50% of FMEP amplitude as a warning criterion. In conclusion, along with free-running EMG and direct facial nerve stimulation, FMEP is a useful method to reduce the incidence of facial paralysis as a sequela during CPA tumor surgery.

악안면외과 교정술은 악골, 안면 혹은 구강에 어떤 기형증에 있을때 이를 외과적 처치에 의하여 개선하거나 치료하는 것을 말한다. 악안면, 구강영역에 발생하는 기형증은 여러가지가 있으나 대체로 비대칭성안모, 악골의 전돌증이나 후퇴증, 개교증, 토순, 구강파열 및 선천성안모발육부전증등 여러 가지가 있다. 본인은 지난 83년 2월부터 5월 초순까지 스위스 쥬리히 치대 악안면외과 교실을 방문하여 이곳 교수들과 접하고 의견을 나누었으며, 강연도 듣고, 하여 주기도 하였다. 또한 이곳 병원에서 외과적안모교정술 등 여러 가지 새로운 시술방법등을 견학하면서 새로운 시술방법을 연구한 바 있다. 지면과 시간이 허락되는 범위안에서 앞으로 수회에 나누어서 악안면외과 교정술에 대하여 구체적으로 소개하고저 한다.

최근 현금인출기의 설치가 증가하면서 그에 따른 범죄도 증가하는 추세이다. 현금인출기와 관련한 지능형 범죄가 증가하고 있지만 보안 시스템은 CCTV나 감시카메라를 이용하고 있어 취약한 면이 많다. 특히 감시 카메라는 실제 상황을 단순하게 녹화하는 가능만을 제공하기 때문에 모자나 마스크, 선글라스 등으로 안면을 가리고 현금인출기를 이용하면 범죄 사건 발생 후에 범인의 신원을 확인할 수 없는 문제점이 발생한다 따라서 본 논문에서는 효과적인 현금인출기 보안 시스템을 위한 안면 인식 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 알고리즘은 현금인출기의 감시 카메라를 이용하여 사용자의 안면을 인식하고, 그 영상에서 장신구 착용 유무 판별함으로써 정상식인 얼굴과 비정상적인 얼굴을 구별한다. 성능평가에서는 정상적인 얼굴, 선글라스 착용 상태, 마스크 착용 상태, 선글라스와 마스크를 모두 작용한 상태에 대하여 안면 인식률을 비교 평가한다.

본 논문에서는 안면 색 비교 분석을 위한 방법 및 시스템을 제안 한다. 안면 색 비교 분석은 의료 및 여러 분야에서 요구가 증가 하고 있으나 현재 개발되어 있는 시스템은 거의 없는 실정이다. 이에 안면색 비교 분석 시스템의 개발을 통해 여러 분야에 있어 활용이 가능할 것으로 사료 된다. 이는 각 분야에서 실험 전 후의 안면 영상 비교에 있어 활용도가 높으며, 특히 한의학의 진단법 중 망진의 색진을 위한 안면 색 분석에 있어 효율적인 분석을 행 할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
