  • The present study explored psychosocial characteristics of infants with genital anomalies (GA) and their caregivers against normal controls. Participants were female caregivers and infants between the ages of 6to38months diagnosed with hypospadias(HS;n=103) or cryptorchidism (CR;n=49). Normalcontrols(n=131) were recruited and selected via Internet. Caregivers completed measures on parenting stress, coping style, social support, and infant temperament. Within the GAgroups, HScaregivers reported their greatest parental concerns as infant urination/bodily functioning difficulties whereas CRcaregivers reported worries related to surgical anesthesia issues. Both groups reported concern about their children's potential reproductive problems. Per caregiver report, infants with GA had lower ability to self-soothe. HS infants in particular were perceived as exhibiting greater negative emotion. Compared with controls, HS and CRcaregivers overall employed coping strategies more frequently and had lower interpersonal sensitivity and parental distress. However, HScaregivers emerged as experiencing higher stress when compared to the CRgroup. There were no differences in to tal parenting stress and social support scores between groups. Further, CRcaregivers reported lower levels of family discord than controls. Despite temperament-related differences between infants with GA and normal controls, HS and CRcaregivers reported lower parental distress and greater use of coping skills as compared to controls. Clinical implications are discussed.

  • The spread of non-face-to-face services due to the COVID-19 pandemic has brought many changes in consumers' purchasing behavior and attracted much attention to new services. Could trying new services caused by this sudden environmental change alter consumers's choice patterns? This study proposes the research question of whether these new service experiences can change consumers' existing choice behavior, especially for risk-averse consumers who maintain their existing choice behavior or prefer safe alternatives. In this study, we examined whether trying out an unmanned payment services, one of innovative services that emerged after the pandemic crisis, can change the existing choice behavior of risk-averse consumers, i.e., make them more likely to prefer risky alternatives to safe alternatives. To accomplish these research goals, this research conducted one pilot survey and one study. The results of pilot survey showed that the stronger the prevention-focus tendency, the lower the self-efficacy to use the innovative service, with a negative relationship between them. Based on these findings, the study used an experimental method to examine the interaction effects between the use of innovation services and consumers' regulatory focus in a choice behavior and to explore the psychological mechanisms behind them. According to the results, it is found that prevention-focused consumers were more likely to choose risky alternatives and dissimilar extended brands following a trial of an unmanned payment service compared to not using that service. In contrast, promotion-focused consumers did not show different choice patterns regardless of following a trial of an innovative service. Furthermore, these results for prevention-focused consumers confirm the role of self-efficacy as a psychological mechanism. These findings shed light on the role of self-efficacy which has discussed in positive psychology into marketing area. Moreover, practical and academic implications are suggested by the finding that behavioral change occurs in risk-averse consumers, who are known to be hesitant to try new behaviors, indicating market expansion related to potential consumers for the use of the innovation services.

  • This study investigated how Schwartz' value system(1992) would interfere with SNS users' motivations and behavioral responses. The study result shows that values are characterized in terms of openness, mutual reciprocity, self enhancement, normative compliance, and security. Each of them exerted differential impact on SNS usage motives, social capital, ad response, and word-of-mouth, among others. The five values were used as an input for segmenting SNS users and clustering method produced four value segments; experience seeker, interdependent sympathizer, self enhancer, and norm-bound. Each value group not only influenced SNS perceptions and behavioral responses differently, but also showed a systematic relationship with SNS service types. The study findings demonstrate that Schwartz's value system provides a very useful theoretical basis for understanding the psychological mechanism underlying SNS usage.

An analysis performed using model 4 of the process macro indicated that self-conscious negative emotions had a significant correlation with self-harming behavior and that this correlation was mediated by the emotional regulation of brooding. These results suggest that negative self-conscious emotions have a significant influence on self-harming behaviors, and brooding reinforces negative emotions then the risk of self-harming behaviors is amplified.

The subjects of this study were 157 Christian college students in a certain University which is located in Seoul, and mediating effect were analyzed through structural equation model. As a result of the analysis, first, there was a significant negative correlation between perceived stress and subject well-being. Second, resilience and spiritual experience had a full mediating effect on the relationship of perceived stress and subjective well-being. Third, in the relationship of perceived stress and subjective well-being, indirect effect through resilience has a greater mediating effect than spiritual daily experience. Implications of these results were concluded that spiritual daily experience of Christian college students is a significant variable in terms of stress and happiness. Apart from spiritual experience, however, resilience also could be a very important variable that mediates stress and happiness for Christian college students. • With the development of AI and digital technologies such as big data, metaverse, and the Internet of Things, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) has brought great development and change to companies. Among these realistic industrial areas by RPA, the call center service area, which consists of a combination of complex high-tech systems and professional operation groups, has now reached the stage where AI is conducting counseling. The evolution of this digital transformation has become an important direction of change in the digital-related industry sector. Along with these changes, there have been many changes in the technical stress of the members of the organization within the RPA organization and their solutions. In this study, the representative psychological mechanisms were presented as Digital Shadow Work (DSW), expressed as 'unpaid work', and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), which is 'an act that helps organizations other than their duties'. This study theoretically contributes to the extension of the DSW concept to the organizational members.
