Durability Evaluation of Inorganic-Impregnated Concrete Exposed to Long-Term Chloride Exposure Test (무기계 침투제를 적용한 콘크리트의 장기폭로실험을 통한 염해 내구성 평가)

  • The repair technique using surface impregnation of reactive compound is so effective for deteriorated concrete structures that many researches are recently focused on these works. Particularly, inorganic impregnant is regarded as ecofriendly material because there is no air-pollution during manufacturing process as well as field coating works. Furthermore, The delamination between old concrete and impregnated surface does not occur, resulting from different material characteristics. In order to evaluate the durability performance of surface-impregnated concrete, durability evaluation through the long-term exposure tests is significant, however, experiments are usually limited to the temporary and qualitative laboratorial scope. In this study, durability characteristics for inorganic and organic/inorganic impregnated concrete specimens are evaluated through longterm chloride exposure test. The specimens with 21MPa and 34MPa strength have been prepared and exposed to chloride attack in the atmospheric, tidal, and submerged conditions. Evaluation for compressive strength, chloride penetration, and electrical potential (half cell potential) for steel corrosion are performed for the specimens exposed for 2 years. From the results, no distinct strength gaining is observed but the resistance to chloride penetration and steel corrosion is evaluated to be improved through surface impregnation. The more improved resistance to chloride attack is measured in the inorganic impregnated concrete and the results from atmospheric condition show more improved resistance to chloride attack than those from submerged and tidal condition.

  • This study is to investigate the damage assessment of adjacent structures due to tunneling in urban environment. Model tests were carried out with two-story masonry building structures in various shapes and locations. The damage level of adjacent structures were very differently estimated in accordance with the shape ratio (L/h) of structures, construction stages, and various locations. The results of model tests were plotted on the damage level graphs in order to predict the direction of damage levels for the different types of structures (i.e. stiffness of structures, L/h). The progressive crack development mechanism at various construction stages was revealed through model tests and crack size indicated more conservative side of damage level on the damage level graph.

  • The carrying capacity of existing concrete structures is evaluated by the measured data from displacement and strain gauges for given loads and the results of numerical analysis that are compared with the measured ones. Consequently, this process could be accomplished in doing the direct measurement of residual stress on existing concrete. This study is concerned with the development of IITC (Instrumented Indentation Technique for Concrete) system which is based on the experimental stress analysis technique using non-destructive test method to evaluate the residual stress of concrete structures depending on the types of applied loadings in analysing indentation load - indentation depth curve derived experimentally on concrete surface. As a result, in this paper, almost all of systematized H/W and S/W were newly developed to estimate the residual stresses of concrete structures. Thus, the creation of new experimental equations for deriving residual stresses and automatical calculations of residual stresses using the empirical formula can lead to evaluate the structural resistances conveniently in the structures from construction phase to maintenance stage.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and validate an instrument for analysing secondary school science laboratory classroom. Three classroom of novice teachers were observed and administered Dana's (2001) situated laboratory activity instrument. Dana's situated laboratory activity instrument consists of eight categories. Each category includes four levels. Three doctoral students and two science education specialists participated in modification of the through 15 science education graduate students. To achieve reliability, the researcher and two raters observed and analyzed three videotaped classrooms through discussion. The finalized instrument was employed in four novice teacher' classes and result indicated the instrument to be useful in identifying the inquiry level of a secondary laboratory classroom. The inquiry level of four novice teachers was confirmation or observation.

  • In this study, for the establishment of the performance evaluation methods and the quality control standard of durability recovery method, the quantitative exposure data by long term exposure test under the coast and air environment is accumulated and analyzed. Investigating and evaluating the result of exposure test during 18 months of exposure age under the coastal and normal atmosphere environment, micro crack, swelling and spatting of surface coating material crack of repair standards of repair material and method through continuous exposure test in the future.

  • A high-precision force-feedback 3-axes accelerometer developed in Korea has been investigated and studied for the verification of feasibility in the computational analysis and health monitoring of civil infrastructures. Through a series of experiment, the nonlinearity, bandwidth, low-frequency signal measurement accuracy and bias characteristics of the accelerometer has been thoroughly compared to those of two accelerometers produced by two market leaders in domestic and global accelerometer market. The experiment results shows that the overall measurement performance of the accelerometer has superiority over the performance of the two accelerometers from global market leader companies. Especially, the accelerometer shows a better low-frequency signal measurement accuracy and constant bias characteristic, which are mostly required in the computational analysis and the long-term health monitoring of large-scale civil infrastructures.

  • 대부분의 산업분야에서 사용되는 공업로는 연소 시 $1000^{\circ}C$이상의 고온 배기가스가 배출되고 있기 때문에, 이들 배기가스로부터 폐열을 회수하여 에너지를 절감하고자 열교환기를 사용하고 있다. 하지만 현재 사용되고 있는 금속 소재의 열교환기의 경우 사용온도가 $800^{\circ}C$로 제한되어 있으며, 산화, 부식, creep등의 문제가 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 세라믹 소재의 열교환기를 제작하여 열전달율, 공기누설율등을 평가하는 성능실험을 하였다. 실험방법은 연소시작 후 정상상태에 도달하기까지의 경향을 알아보고 공기유량과 가스유량에 변화를 주었을 때, 열전달율과 공기누설율등을 평가하고 이론적인 데이터와 비교하였다. 실험 결과, $1300^{\circ}C$이상의 환경에서도 정상적으로 작동하였으며, 외부환경조건을 고려하였을 때, 이론적인 데이터와 근접한 데이터를 얻을 수 있었다. 그러나 대류열전달에 의한 열손실과 공기누설등이 문제점으로 지적되었다. 향후 연구에서는 대류열전달에 의한 열손실을 고려한 연구와 효과적인 씰링으로 누설을 줄일 수 있는 실험장치를 개발할 필요가 있다.

Animated Quantile Plots for Evaluating Response Surface Designs (반응표면실험계획을 평가하기 위한 동적분위수그림)

  • The traditional methods for evaluating response surface designs are alphabetic optimality criteria. These single-number criteria such as D-, A-, G- and V-optimality do not completely reflect the prediction variance characteristics of the design in question. Alternatives to single-numbers summaries include graphical displays of the prediction variance across the design regions. We can suggest the animated quantile plots as the animation of the quantile plots and use these animated quantile plots for comparing and evaluating response surface designs.

다차원 이진트리를 기반으로 하는 한글 전자사전의 성능 분석

  • 본 연구는 기존의 한글 전자사전의 단점들인 과다한 검색 횟수, 비효율적인 주 기억장치 사용, 이미 구축된 사전에 새로운 단어에 대한 추가·삭제의 난이성 등을 해결할 수 있는 다차원 이진트리 구조 기반의 한글 전자사전의 설계 및 구현을 그 내용으로 하고 있다. 본 논문에서 구현된 한글 전자사전의 검색시간 성능평가를 위해 입력 키워드의 종류에 따라 실험1, 실험2 의 두가지 성능평가를 수행하였다. 실험1에서는 구현된 사전의 단어를 입력 키워드로 사용하여 실험하였으며 그 결과로서 제안한 사전구조가 검색 속도 면에서 기존의 트라이 사전구조보다 약 1.5배의 성능향상을 부여주고 있음을 보았다. 실험 2는 다차원 이진트리 구조의 한글 전자사전이 트라이 구조의 한글 전자사전보다 약 2.3배의 성능향상을 이루고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 한편, 사전 구축시 필요한 주기억장치 용량에 대한 성능평가 결과는 트라이구조사전은 1.987Kbyte를 가지는 반면 제안한 다차원 이진트리 구조의 한글 전자사전은 1.136Kbyte를 가지므로 약 1.8배의 성능향상을 보여주고 있다.
