As the 2015 revised curriculum is being implemented from 2018, efforts are being made to cultivate scientific literacy among students in the field of science. Scientific experiments help students to develop their interest in Science and their scientific attitudes. Learning through experimentation rather than learning scientific facts increases learners' understanding, and can be remembered longer. Therefore, experiments in Science subject are very important. However, in middle schools, scientific experiments are not performed due to the lack of time, budget and experimental material. In this research, we analyze middle school science textbooks, conduct questionnaires for students of science pre-service teachers, select the most important science experiments, and develop a mobile App to simulate and experience scientific experiments with the App. The proposed App is developed in a game format using quest-based learning methods to gain learning enhancement. It is also made using Unity. In this paper, after developing the app, we propose the direction of STEAM contents development through analyzing the difference from existing apps and the feedback from users.

Recently there have been many Internet-based studies to provide personal users an efficient educational tool making use of multimedia data. The typical examples are remote education and virtual university where many educational trials on theory-based contents have been performed more frequently than those on experiment-based contents for engineering area. This paper describes about a base system implemented as an example of Internet-based experiment-oriented educations to establish cyber engineering laboratories for mechanics, electronics and chemistry. For the first time as a model of cyber engineering laboratories we herein Introduce in detail a server-and-client-based simulative method in which the result may be displayed on computer monitor of client PC while a simulator program is executed on the server. Secondly we introduce an interactive method in which the user of client PC may not only communicate directly with experiment server after initial connection with management server but also he can confirm the status of experiment being performed by way of video as well as experimental result.

In this paper, the educational effects of NETCLASS(network-based collaborative learning system) for EICE(education on information communication ethics) were verified by a non-equivalent control group protest-posttest design. We experimented our system on an experimental group (45 learners) and a comparative group (45 learners) respectively with a defining issues test (DIT). The t-value is 5.108 which shows the difference of the mean value between the experimental group and the comparative group, and their average p-mark shows that the difference is statistically meaningful at p<.001 level. Thus, the experiment using NETCLASS and DIT suggests that the morality of the experimental group is higher than that of the comparative group(t(88)=+5.108, p<.001). This paper suggests very strong possibility that the abilities such as creativity, sociality, morality and emotivity can be improved by utilizing ICT(Information and Communication Technology).

The purpose of this study was to investigate the middle science teachers' perceptions on science lessons with experiments. The study conducted a survey for 110 science teachers participating in inservice program. The middle school science teachers taught classes with lectures rather than with experimental activities. They had an experiment one to three times a semester in their lessons. They did an experiment to follow to what the textbook said, or to confirm it, like a cookbook style. The most teachers answered that they had over average ability to teach both lecture and experiment. Through the experiment, they expected students had interests and curiosity on science. Despite the advantages of experiments, there were many constraints to conduct experiments, such as teachers' excessive work, laboratory conditions, education environment, and others. It was demanded on continuous interest and investment in the variation of educational environment so that teachers can experiment more often.

교육의 장에서 많은 교사들은 다양한 방법으로 교육 현실의 상태를 올바로 파악하여 현장에 응용하고, 새로운 교육 기법을 개발하여 교육의 질을 개선시키고자 하는 노력을 하고 있다. 이러한 과정에서 교사들은 연구 목적을 정하고, 그에 합당한 측도(measure)를 개발하고, 실험을 설계하고, 가설에 맞는 통계적 방법을 적용하여 결론을 도출하여 재투입(feed-back)하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 이러한 연구 결과에 기초해서 새로운 교육 개선 안이 나오고, 이를 토대로 올바르고 바람직한 방향의 교육이 실현되게 된다.(중략)

세계적으로 로봇 산업이 차세대 신성장 동력 산업으로 급부상하여 인간과 상호작용 즉 HRI 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있는데, 최근 들어 로봇의 교육적 활용 연구가 시작되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 교사 보조 로봇의 수업에서의 활용 가능성을 보기위해 사전에 만화 시나리오를 통한 적합한 교과목 후보를 정하였고, 초등학생 6학년의 기대역할을 갖는 프로토타입 로봇을 설계 개발하여 후보 교과목 수업에 활용하는 실험을 실시하였다. 이를 통해 아동이 로봇에게 기대하는 역할이 실험자의 의도와 일치하는지와 교육적 효과 제고에 기여를 하는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 아동은 교사 보조 로봇을 자신보다 약간 높은 나이로 인식하고, 친근하지만 자신보다 우월하여 자신을 이끌어 줄 수 있는 역할을 기대한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 교사 보조 로봇 활용이 교사와 아동의 흥미 유발에 있어 매우 효과적임을 보여, 향후 교사 보조 로봇은 ICT 활용 교육의 또 다른 매체로서의 가능성을 확인하였다.

2015 개정 교육과정에서는 미래 사회의 인재를 육성하기 위해 중학교에 정보 교과를 필수화하였다. 이를 지도할 정보·컴퓨터 교사를 확보하기 위해 비 정보과 교사를 대상으로 부전공연수를 실시하여 정보 교육을 할 수 있는 자격을 부여하고 있다. 이들은 일반 학습자와 다르게 교육학적 지식과 역량은 높으나, 내용 지식은 컴퓨터과학의 초보자 수준이다. 이러한 학습자의 특성을 고려하여 마이크로비트를 활용한 연수를 12차시 동안 진행하였고, 이는 비 정보과 교사의 프로그래밍 자아효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 본 연구는 단일집단에게 실험을 실시하였으므로 그 효과를 일반화하는 데 한계가 있다. 따라서 후속 연구에서는 비교 집단을 설정하는 실험 설계로 교육 효과를 검증할 필요가 있다.

While the number of crashes and fatalities has decreased for the last few decades, the proportion of elderly-involved crashes has continuously increased from 19.5% in 2001 to 29.6% in 2008. This paper aims to evaluate the effectiveness of traffic safety education to seniors, which has been conducted for the purpose of providing more systematic knowledge such as safety regulations and making the elderly more aware of the risks of crashes, and eventually to reduce elderly-involved crashes. First, we investigated the levels of traffic safety knowledge of the elder people who attend senior community centers and social welfare centers in Seoul and provided traffic safety education. Then, the effectiveness of traffic safety education was evaluated by using the before-and-after analysis. We set up two different groups to improve the reliability of evaluation: one for control group and the other for comparison group. The results showed that the average scores of the control group after education were significantly improved at the 95% significance level compared to the average scores before education, whereas the comparison group did not show a significant differences in the average scores before and after education except for two questions. This indicates that the levels of traffic safety knowledge of the control group have been improved through education and therefore, the safety education seem to be effective to some extent.

Breidenbach et al(1992)는 APOS(Actions, Processes, Objects, Schemas)를 소개하였고 Sfard(1991)는 수학적 개념에서의 Process 와 Object의 상호관련성에 대해서 발표하였다. 본 연구자는 이 이론들을 기반으로 초등학생(4$^{\sim}$6학년)과 중등 영재학생(1학년)을 대상으로 하여 조한혁의 JavaMAL Logo를 이용한 실험을 실행하였다. 이 실험에서는 Process와 Object의 의미와 이 개념들 간의 상호관계를 분석하였고 이러한 관계가 학생들의 창의성에 어떠한 영향을 끼치는지 비교분석하였다.

This work investigated experiment education in mechanical engineering of universities in USA. Through the investigation, characteristics of each university were analyzed. Finally, the study suggested new contents of experiment education, full-time professors and staffs for experiment, cooperation with design and experiment education, and incentive for the development of experiment education.
