A Method on the Learning Speed Improvement of the Online Error Backpropagation Algorithm in Speech Processing (음성처리에서 온라인 오류역전파 알고리즘의 학습속도 향상방법)

  • Having a variety of good characteristics against other pattern recognition techniques, the multilayer perceptron (MLP) has been widely used in speech recognition and speaker recognition. But, it is known that the error backpropagation (EBP) algorithm that MLP uses in learning has the defect that requires restricts long learning time, and it restricts severely the applications like speaker recognition and speaker adaptation requiring real time processing. Because the learning data for pattern recognition contain high redundancy, in order to increase the learning speed it is very effective to use the online-based learning methods, which update the weight vector of the MLP by the pattern. A typical online EBP algorithm applies the fixed learning rate for each update of the weight vector. Though a large amount of speedup with the online EBP can be obtained by choosing the appropriate fixed rate, firing the rate leads to the problem that the algorithm cannot respond effectively to different learning phases as the phases change and the number of patterns contributing to learning decreases. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a Changing rate and Omitting patterns in Instant Learning (COIL) method to apply the variable rate and the only patterns necessary to the learning phase when the phases come to change. In this paper, experimentations are conducted for speaker verification and speech recognition, and results are presented to verify the performance of the COIL.

A Study on Controlling IPTV Interface Based on Tracking of Face and Eye Positions (얼굴 및 눈 위치 추적을 통한 IPTV 화면 인터페이스 제어에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, many researches for making more comfortable input device based on gaze detection have been vigorously performed in human computer interaction. However, these previous researches are difficult to be used in IPTV environment because these methods need additional wearing devices or do not work at a distance. To overcome these problems, we propose a new way of controlling IPTV interface by using a detected face and eye positions in single static camera. And although face or eyes are not detected successfully by using Adaboost algorithm, we can control IPTV interface by using motion vectors calculated by pyramidal KLT (Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi) feature tracker. These are two novelties of our research compared to previous works. This research has following advantages. Different from previous research, the proposed method can be used at a distance about 2m. Since the proposed method does not require a user to wear additional equipments, there is no limitation of face movement and it has high convenience. Experimental results showed that the proposed method could be operated at real-time speed of 15 frames per second. Wd confirmed that the previous input device could be sufficiently replaced by the proposed method.

  • Real-time processing of sensor data network, is one of the important factors. Each node in the detected data are required to be transmitted within a certain time since the accurate processing is possible. Thus, the data nodes are successfully delivered within a specified time, it is very important to check whether the. Recently more and more accurate real-time embedded systems are reliable and haejyeoseo been able to provide sophisticated services. Because of the inherent complexity of embedded systems in the physical world and the difficulty of predicting the difficulty of a safe design constraints on the runtime violation of system as to cause unexpected causes. Each node data in time detected by the time required to be passed in the appropriate processing is possible because the data transfer time in this paper, the monitoring of the sensor network through a node are allowed to exist within the time range and transmits data to the server Analysis of the data transfer time for checking whether the system was implemented. Implementation of the data transmission time to the process for analyzing and presenting, according to the procedure suggested by the transit time required for analysis a time difference analysis method, a data collection method and a data transmission time and transmission time calculating method presented.

  • In this paper, it introduced the device that was fabricated for monitoring sleeping positions of infants with 3-axis accelerometer. Sleep monitoring studies has been usually conducted two ways. To monitor sleeping posture by installing a camera and then recording of sleep in the sleeping room continuously is the first one. The other one is monitoring pressure sensor's results data for sleeping. Those two ways' benefits are that are able to get relatively accurate sleeping posture data but, there are many disadvantages like constraints of spaces and places, the installation of sensors or cameras, and high cost. In addition, it has a lot of problems that difficult to solve. For babies, it's not easy to apply, as well as uncomfortable. The proposed method uses a 3-axis accelerometer's X axis, Y axis, Z axis position output values in order to recognize the bad ground sleeping position that use of the buzzer alarm. This method uses a 3-axis acceleration sensor to measure the data and transmit sleeping posture using Bluetooth wireless in real time monitoring. The data is helpful for prevention safety hazard such as choked themselves when they slept back side on.

  • 전자상거래는 구매자와 판매자 모두에게 많은 이점을 제공할 수 있어 최근 이에 관한 연구들이 많이 진행되고 있다. 특히 중소제조업체의 경우, 전자상거래라는 경영환경의 변화는 새로운 기회로 다가오고 있어, 상대적으로 기술력이 취약한 중소제조업체의 전자상거래를 지원하기 위한 요소 기술들의 개발 필요성이 점차 부각되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 중소 금형제조업체의 판매과정을 사이버 공간에서 수행할 수 있는 전자상거래 기술을 개발하였다. 일반적으로 변화하는 경영환경에서는 생산과 관련된 계획과 통제가 보다 더 신속하고 정확하게 이루어져야 한다. 즉 전자상거래 환경에서의 제조업체는 구매자가 요구한 제품의 생산과 납기일을 맞추어 줄 수 있는지의 여부를 실시간으로 응답할 수 있어야 한다. 나아가서 인터넷을 통해 접수된 주문들은 해당 제조업체의 생산능력을 초과할 수 있는데 이 때에는 접수된 주문들 중에서 자사의 이익을 극대화할 수 있는 주문집합을 선별하여 접수여부를 결정해야 한다. 이와 같이 전자상거래 환경하에서의 제조업체는 생산과 관련된 정보를 신속하게 전달 받아 주문접수여부에 관한 의사결정을 올바르게 수행하는 것이 중요한데 본 연구에서는 중소 금형제조업체의 일정계획 및 주문처리를 위한 일정계획 기반의 선정 에이전트의 구조와 방법론을 제시하였다. 지금까지 일정계획에 관한 연구들은 대부분 납기일의 만족과 비용의 최소화 측면을 위주로 다루었다. 그러나 본 연구에서의 문제는 비용의 최소화보다는 납기일을 준수하면서 가장 많은 이익을 가져다 줄 수 있는 최적주문집합을 선정하는 문제를 다루고있다.자료를 수집하고, 통계분석 패키지를 이용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 방식을 결합한 하이브리드 형태이다.인터넷으로 주문처리하고, 신속 안전한 배달을 기대한다. 더불어 고객은 현재 자신의 물건이 배달되는 경로를 알고싶어 한다. 웹을 통해 물건을 주문한 고객이 자신이 물건의 배달 상황을 웹에서 모니터링 한다면 기업은 고객으로 공간적인 제약으로 인한 불신을 불식시키는 신뢰감을 주게 된다. 이러한 고객서비스 향상과 물류비용 절감은 사이버 쇼핑몰이 전국 어디서나 우리의 안방에서 자연스럽게 점할 수 있는 상황을 만들 것이다.SP가 도입되어, 설계업무를 지원하기위한 기본적인 시스템 구조를 구상하게 된다. 이와 함께 IT Model을 구성하게 되는데, 객체지향적 접근 방법으로 Model을 생성하고 UML(Unified Modeling Language)을 Tool로 사용한다. 단계 4)는 Software Engineering 관점으로 접근한다. 이는 최종산물이라고 볼 수 있는 설계업무 지원 시스템을 Design하는 과정으로, 시스템에 사용될 데이터를 Design하는 과정과, 데이터를 기반으로 한 기능을 Design하는 과정으로 나눈다. 이를 통해 생성된 Model에 따라 최종적으로 Coding을 통하여 실제 시스템을 구축하게 된다.the making. program and policy decision making, The objectives of the study are to develop the methodology of modeling the socioeconomic evaluation, and b

  • For obtaining telematics traffic information(travel time or speed in an individual link), there are many kinds of devices to collect traffic data. Since the GPS satellite signals have been released to civil society, thank to the development of GPS technology, the GPS has become a very useful instrument for collecting traffic data. GPS can reduce the cost of installation and maintenance in contrast with existing traffic detectors which must be stationed on the ground. But. there are Problems when GPS data is applied to the existing filtering techniques used for analyzing the data collected by other detectors. This paper proposes a method to provide users with correct traffic information through filtering abnormal data caused by the unusual driving in collected data based on GPS. We have developed an algorithm that can be applied to real-time GPS data and create more reliable traffic information, by building patterns of past data and filtering abnormal data through selection of filtering areas using Quartile values. in order to verify the proposed algorithm, we experimented with actual traffic data that include probe cars equipped with a built-in GPS receiver which ran through Gangnam Street in Seoul. As a result of these experiments, it is shown that link travel speed data obtained from this algorithm is more accurate than those obtained by existing systems.

  • This paper describes on our experience of developing the Database Connector as an interconnection method between multimedia database, and the streaming framework. It is possible to support diverse and mature multimedia database services such as retrieval and join operation during the streaming if an interconnection method is provided in between streaming system and multimedia databases. The currently available interconnection schemes, however have mainly used the file systems or the relational databases that are Implemented with separated form of meta data, which deafs with information of multimedia contents, and streaming data which deals with multimedia data itself. Consequently, existing interconnection mechanisms could not come up with many virtues of multimedia database services during the streaming operation. In order to resolve these drawbacks, we propose a novel scheme for an interconnection between streaming framework and multimedia database, called the Inter-Process Communication (IPC) based Database connector, under the assumption that two systems are located in a same host. We define four transaction primitives; Read, Write, Find, Play, as well as define the interface for transactions that are implemented based on the plug-in, which in consequence can extend to other multimedia databases that will come for some later years. Our simulation study show that performance of the proposed IPC based interconnection scheme is not much far behind compared with that of file systems.

Development and Application of a Path-Based Trip Assignment Model under Toll Imposition (통행료체계에서의 경로기반 통행배정모형 개발과 적용에 관한 연구)

  • 이용자의 경로선택 형태를 모사하는 통행배정모형 결과의 정확도는 교통계획에 상당한 영향을 미친다. 이용자의 경로선택 결정과정에서 가장 중요한 판단기준은 통행시간과 통행요금이다. 그런데 통행요금은 이용자의 경로거리에 따라 다양한 방식으로 부과되므로, 링크를 분석단위로 하는 기존의 통행배정모형은 현실적인 통행요금 반영이 힘들었고 또한 수요예측 결과를 이용한 다양한 분석에서 제약을 받아 왔다. 본 연구는 이러한 배경에서 경로교통량을 도출할 수 있는 경로기반 통행배정모형을 구축하였고, 또한 경로거리에 따라 결정되는 현실적인 통행요금을 반영할 수 있는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 경로기반 배정모형에서는 GP(Gradient Projection) 알고리즘을 이용하였고, 계산상의 효율성 제고를 위해 K-최단경로 알고리즘 중 MPS(Minimal Path Search) 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 개발된 배정 모형은 현실적인 통행요금을 반영할 수 있으므로 통행배정 결과의 정밀도를 향상시켰을 뿐만 아니라 기존 배정모형에 비해 최적해로의 수렴속도도 개선되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 논문의 배정모형은 경로교통량이 도출되고 통행요금을 반영할 수 있으므로, 통행요금과 통행 거리 관계에 따른 목적함수의 규명과 그에 따른 효과척도를 계량화할 수 있다. 따라서 본 모형은 통행배정에서 실재상황을 보다 현실여건에 맞도록 규명할 수 있고, 기존의 제한적인 효과분석의 문제점을 해결할 수 있으므로 그 활용범위가 넓다. 또한 본 논문은 개발된 배정모형의 적용사례로서 고속도로 수요관리 요금체계 개선방안을 제시하였다. 기존의 고속도로 통행요금 산정 방법은 이론적 근거가 미약했던 반면, 본 논문에서 개발된 배정모형과 고속도로 수요관리 요금체계 개선방안은 고속도로 통행료 결정에 대한 과학적이고 합리적인 분석방법을 제공하였다.한 민감도 분석을 실시한 결과 대안1의 경우 교통량의 변화 및 화물통행의 시간가치의 증가시 사회적 편익이 오히려 감소하였고, 대안2와 3의 경우 사회적 편익이 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 경부고속도로의 화물차량의 구성비에 따라 대안 1의 경우 오히려 화물차의 통행시간이 증가함에 그 원인이 있다 할 것이다. 이상과 같은 결론을 통하여 경부고속도로상의 화물전용차선의 설치시는 수답렬 교통량의 구성비와 구간 평균교통량에 의하여 그 효과가 다르게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 물류비용 절감차원에서의 화물전용차선의 설치는 본 연구에서 나타낸 방법과 같이 수단간의 경제적 편익을 고려한 구간별 시간대별 효과분석을 통하여 정책의 시행여부가 결정되어야 할 것이다. 한편, 화물전용차선의 설치로 인한 물류비용의 절감을 보다 효과적으로 달성하기 위해서는 종합류류 전산망의 시급한 구축과 함께 화물차의 적재율을 높이고 공차율을 낮출 수 있는 운송체계의 수립이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 그라나 이러한 화물전용차선의 효과는 단기적인 치유책일 수밖에 없기 때문에 물류유통 시설의 확충을 위한 사회간접자본의 구축을 서둘러 시행하여야 할 것이다.으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한 시추공 내 물리검층과 정압주입시험에서도 확인된다.. Effect of Maximum Aggregate, Porosity, and Temperature on Crack Resistance and Moisture Susceptibility of Porous Asphalt Mixtures (최대입경, 공극률, 온도가 다공성 아스팔트 혼합물의 균열저항성 및 수분민감성에 미치는 영향)

  • Porous asphalt pavement (PAP) has many functions, such as reducing accidents and decreasing noise. On the other hand, vulnerability is inevitable because PAP contains approximately 20% porosity. This study evaluated the effects of the maximum aggregate size (MAS), temperature, and porosity on the PAP durability. The indirect tensile strength measures durability. This study tested the samples that stayed dry and were moisturized by freezing and thawing for mixtures having the same porosity of 20% and MAS of 13mm, 10mm, and 8mm. The same test was performed on a mixture of 20% and 22% voids made of the same material with a MAS of 10mm. As a result, for 20% porosity, significant differences in the changes in MAS and temperature were found. A clear difference was observed between 8mm and 13mm under dry conditions, but there were no other significant differences in the MAS change. Furthermore, there was a clear difference in temperature for the change in porosity and temperature, but the gap in 2% porosity at 20% did not show a clear difference. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a more durable PAP through quantitative evaluations of the factors affecting the PAP durability.

Automatic Walking Guide for Visually Impaired People Utilizing an Object Recognition Technology (객체 인식 기술을 활용한 시각장애인 자동 보행 안내)

  • As city environments have recently become crowded, there are many obstacles that interfere with the walking of the visually impaired on pedestrian roads. Typical examples include ballads, parking breakers and standing signs, which usually do not get in the way, but blind people may be injured by collisions. To solve such a problem, many solutions have been proposed, but they are limited in applied in practical environments due to the several restrictions such as outside use only, inaccurate obstacle sensing and requirement of special devices. In this paper, we propose a new method to automatically detect obstacles while walking on the pedestrian roads and warn the collision risk in advance by using only sensors embedded in typical mobile phones. The proposed method supports the walking of the visually impaired by notifying the type of obstacles appearing in front of them as well as the distance remaining from the obstacles. To accomplish this goal, we utilized an object recognition technology applying the latest deep learning algorithms in order to identify the obstacles appeared in real-time videos. In addition, we also calculate the distance to the obstacles using the number of steps and the pedestrian's stride. Compared to the existing walking support technologies for the visually impaired, our proposed method ensures efficient and safe walking with only simple devices regardless of the places.
