Recently, there are increasing needs to provide sufficient information on road signs for expanding cities and traffic networks. Improving efficiency of direction guidance information from road signs not only requires criteria for but also systematic approach to selecting place names that appear on road sings. As such, this paper looks at road direction information from existing road signs that leads to Suwon and investigates whether the current system of road sings provides efficient, systematic and continuous direction information for road users to easily reach their destination. In this paper, Suwon's city hall is set up as the final destination, which is linked from five other cities, Euiwang, Ansan, Hwaseong, Osan and Yongin. The paper attempts to find out whether there is continuity and suitable number of road signs for direction information by analyzing the road signs between these 5 cities and Suwon with respect to direction, direction advance notice and direction guidance. It is found that road users cannot easily find the needed information on their destination from the existing road signs and that continuity of selected place names that systematically appear on road signs is insufficiency. That is to say, the findings of the paper are that while it is easy for road users to find place names that are classified under land marks or the first-class selection of place names on road signs, it is difficult to obtain information from road signs on place names that are grouped under the second or third class. In addition, direction guidance on road signs is problematic, because the appearance frequency of road signs is not adequate and the continuity of road signs is not effective. Moreover, there is insufficient information on local direction guidance for immediate destinations on road signs with respect to turning left or right or going straight. Hence road signs in urban area need systematic improvement to find easily some destination.

No proper system exists for private investment projects, and efficient project management is not being achieved due to entanglements of management. Recognizing these circumstances, this paper has diagnosed the hard facts that project management organizations and systems are facing, and presented solutions to the factors that are obstructing the establishment of efficient project management system. This paper carried out focus group interviews on the experts who had participated in the Incheon International Airport Railway construction project, using the methodology of an exploratory case study. The results were systematically analyzed according to organizational behavior and causes corresponding to each of the problems were deduced. Private investment projects were divided into task environments and project organizations based on social science methodology and analyzed, and a final improvement plan for each participating organization was presented. An improvement plan was presented, and it was compared with the case study of Incheon bridge construction project, which is recognized as a model of successful project management, and its appropriateness evaluated.
This study is aimed to investigate the effects of stress on suicidal impulse, considering the mediating effects of existent spirituality, family support, and depression. The data, collected from 1,000 adults were examined by the statistics software SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 17.0, in which descriptive statistics, structural equation model analysis, and multi-group simultaneous analysis are utilized. The study shows that, from the structural equation modeling, the stress has positive effects on depression and suicidal impulses, but negative effects on existent spirituality. Existent spirituality acts as a protective factor, negatively affecting the suicidal impulse. Depression has positive effects on suicidal impulse. Therefore, existent spirituality and depression have mediational effects on the relationship between stress and suicidal impulse. The results of multi-group simultaneous analysis imply that there are no age and sex differences. In conclusion, social workers need to make great efforts to exterminate stress, and treat depression at the first priority, because the depression is a major sign of suicide. As a protective factor, strengthening existent spirituality is a very effective way to prevent a suicidal impulse.

Intravenous infusion therapy is a standard nursing procedure in medical institutions that provides patients with drugs, fluids, blood, and nutrients into the patient's mucus. It is mainly performed and managed by nurses. Additionally, it is an injection method that injects drugs directly into the blood vessels, and is used to achieve rapid results in emergency situations, and quick and accurate effects can be expected. Even experienced nurses through education and training often make mistakes, which can not only cause discomfort to patients but also cause various problems that threaten patient safety. Various studies are being conducted to reduce the pain caused by these mistakes. This paper acquired images of veins on the back of the hands of three subjects through an image detection device and conducted a study to derive an algorithm to provide clear vein images through image processing of the collected images. To sharpen the acquired vein images, existing algorithms Histogram Equalization, CLAHE, and Unsharp Masking were selected and combined. A histogram graph was used to compare images derived by applying individual algorithms and algorithm combinations to images. The histogram graph was checked by calculating the difference between the minimum and maximum values of distributed pixels and averaging them. The algorithm combination presented in this paper was 209.1, which was higher than the average values of individual algorithms of 138.7, 132.3, and 126.2, and it was confirmed that visibility was good even in actual images.

In this study, the effects of reciprocal peer questioning (RPQ) strategy upon students' concept learning were investigated. Ninety-two seventh graders at a co-ed middle school were assigned to control, reciprocal peer tutoring (RPT), and RPQ groups. The students were taught about 'three states of matter' and 'motion of molecules' for 12 class hours. Regardless of students' prior science achievement level, the RPQ group showed the highest scores among the three groups in the test of conceptual understanding, and the RPT group performed better than the control group. For high-level students, the scores of the RPQ group were significantly higher than those of the other groups in the test of the concept application, and those of the RPT group were higher than those of the control group. For low-level students, the scores of the RPT and RPQ groups in the concept application test were significantly higher than those of the control group, while those of the RPT and RPQ groups were not significantly different. These results indicated that verbal interaction by reciprocal tutoring helped students to understand chemical concept learning, and that using self-generated questions was more effective. Therefore, RPQ strategy is suggested to become one of the useful instructional methods to facilitate verbal interaction and concept learning in middle school science instructions.
The purpose of this study was to identify psychological factors that influence psychological well-being in middle-aged adults(40-65 years old). In particular, we aimed to determine whether mentalization, the ability to clarify one's internal experiences, and adaptive cognitive emotional regulation have a dual mediating effect on the relationship between insecure adult attachment(anxious, avoidant) and psychological well-being in middle-aged adults. To address the research questions, structural equation modeling was conducted using Jamovi 2.2.5 statistical program to analyze survey responses from 317 middle-aged adults (117 males and 200 females) who voluntarily participated through mobile and offline surveys. The results of the study are as follows. First, in the structural equation model, the simple mediating effect of mentalization on the relationship between insecure adult attachment(anxious and avoidant) and psychological well-being in middle-aged adults was not significant. Second, the simple mediating effect of adaptive cognitive emotion regulation on the relationship between insecure adult attachment and psychological well-being was significant only for anxious attachment. Third, the relationship between insecure adult attachment and psychological well-being was fully mediated by mentalization and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation for anxious attachment, but partially mediated for avoidant attachment. These findings help provide a theoretical framework for developing programs to increase psychological well-being among middle-aged adults, a growing segment of society.
Recently, the 2022 revised mathematics curriculum has established achievement standards for equal sign and equality, and efforts have been made to examine teaching methods and student understanding of relational understanding of equal sign. In this context, this study conducted a lesson that emphasized relational understanding in an introduction to equal sign, and compared and analyzed the understanding of equal sign between the experimental group, which participated in the lesson emphasizing relational understanding and the control group, which participated in the standard lesson. For this purpose, two classes of students participated in this study, and the results were analyzed by administering pre- and post-tests on the understanding of equal sign. The results showed that students in the experimental group had significantly higher average scores than students in the control group in all areas of equation-structure, equal sign-definition, and equation-solving. In addition, when comparing the means of students by item, we found that there was a significant difference between the means of the control group and the experimental group in the items dealing with equal sign in the structure of 'a=b' and 'a+b=c+d', and that most of the students in the experimental group correctly answered 'sameness' as the meaning of equal sign, but there were still many responses that interpreted the equal sign as 'answer'. Based on these results, we discussed the implications for instruction that emphasizes relational understanding in equal sign introduction lessons.

This study analyzed students' discourse and learning to investigate the impact of using Google Docs in science classes. The researcher, who is also a science teacher, conducted classes for 49 second-year middle school students. The classes included one using Google Docs and another using traditional paper worksheets covering identical content. Students' discourse collected from each class was compared and analyzed using Epistemic Network Analysis (ENA). The findings indicated that in the class using Google Docs, the proportion of discourse related to task was higher compared to the traditional class. More specifically, discourse regarding taking and uploading photos was prominent. However, such discourse did not lead to peer learning as intended by the teacher. An analysis based on achievement levels revealed that the class utilizing Google Docs had a relatively higher proportion of discourse from lower-achieving students. Additionally, differences were observed in the types of utterances and connection structures between the higher and lower-achieving students. The higher-achieving students took a leading role in providing suggestions and explanations, while the lower-achieving students played a role in transcribing them, with this tendency being more pronounced in the class using Google Docs. Lastly, students' changes in perception regarding the cause of static electricity were visualized using ENA. Based on the research findings, this study proposes strategies to enhance collaborative learning using Google Docs, including the use of open-ended problems to allow diverse opinions and outputs, and exploring the potential use of ENA to assess the learning effects of conceptual learning.

The purposes of the study were to examine the relationships between early childhood teachers' content knowledge on music education, attitude on music education, teaching efficacy in music, and practice in music education, and to verify the effects of early childhood teachers' content knowledge in music education, attitude on music education, and teaching efficacy in music on their practice in music education. The subjects were 360 early childhood teachers working at kindergartens and childcare centers in Seoul and Incheon metropolitan areas. The major variables were measured using questionnaires, and the collected data was analyzed utilizing SPSS 27.0. We used Pearson's correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis for the research questions along with the descriptive statistical analysis and calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficients. As the findings, early childhood teachers' content knowledge in music education, attitude on music education, teaching efficacy in music, practice in music education were statistically significantly positively correlated. In addition, early childhood teachers' content knowledge in music education, attitude on music education, and teaching efficacy in music were found to have statistically significantly positive effects on their practice in music education.
The purpose of the study was to investigate and compare the effects of school violence victimization on school violence perpetration for each group of different out-of-home care types: institutional care, group home, and foster care. Furthermore, the study explored the protective factors for children in each type of the care. Using data from the Panel Study on Korean Children in Out-of-Home Care (PSKCOC), we utilized a sample of 458 children who participated in both the first- and the second-wave surveys. As possible protective factors, this study examined internal, caregiver, and external support-related factors. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis and the pick-a-point approach. The results were as follows. First, among the three groups of children, school violence victimization of children was shown to influence violence perpetration only in the institutional care group. Second, among examined possible protective factors, only the self-expression of children among the institutional care group showed buffering effects of victimization. Based on these results, practice implications for children in out-of-home care were discussed.
