Robust Real-Time Visual Odometry Estimation for 3D Scene Reconstruction (3차원 장면 복원을 위한 강건한 실시간 시각 주행 거리 측정)

  • In this paper, we present an effective visual odometry estimation system to track the real-time pose of a camera moving in 3D space. In order to meet the real-time requirement as well as to make full use of rich information from color and depth images, our system adopts a feature-based sparse odometry estimation method. After matching features extracted from across image frames, it repeats both the additional inlier set refinement and the motion refinement to get more accurate estimate of camera odometry. Moreover, even when the remaining inlier set is not sufficient, our system computes the final odometry estimate in proportion to the size of the inlier set, which improves the tracking success rate greatly. Through experiments with TUM benchmark datasets and implementation of the 3D scene reconstruction application, we confirmed the high performance of the proposed visual odometry estimation method.

  • We proposed a realtime object tracking system that detects the abandoned or disappeared objects. Because these events are caused by human, we used the tracking based algorithm. After the background subtraction by Gaussian mixture model, the shadow removal is applied for accurate object detection. The static object is classified as either of abandoned objects or disappeared object. We assigned monitoring time to the static object to overcome a situation that it is being overlapped by other object. We obtained more accurate detection by using region growing method. We implemented our algorithm by DSP processor and obtained an excellent result throughout the experiment.

  • Radars are used to detect the motion of the low flying enemy planes in the military. Radar-detected raw data are first processed and then inserted into the ground tactical C4I system. Next, these data we analyzed and broadcasted to the Shooter system in real time. But the accuracy of information and time spent on the displaying and graphical computation are dependent on the operator's capability. In this paper, we propose the Flying Object Tracking Management System that allows the displaying of the objects' trails in real time by using data received from the radars. We apply the coordinate system translation algorithm, existing communication protocol improvements with communication equipment, and signal and information computation process. Especially, radar signal duplication computation and synchronization algorithm is developed to display the objects' coordinates and thus we can improve the Tactical Air control system's reliability, efficiency, and easy-of-usage.

  • This paper reviews the current studies about the current secure OS, security module and SELinux, and suggests Linux access control module that uses the user discriminating authentication, security authority inheritance of subjects and objects, reference monitor and MAC class process and real-time audit trailing using DB. First, during the user authentication process, it distinguishes the access permission IP and separates the superuser(root)'s authority from that of the security manager by making the users input the security level and the protection category. Second, when the subjects have access to the objects through security authority inheritance of subjects and objects, the suggested system carries out the access control by comparing the security information of the subjects with that of the objects. Third, this system implements a Reference Monitor audit on every current events happening in the kernel. As it decides the access permission after checking the current MAC security attributes, it can block any malicious intrusion in advance. Fourth, through the real-time audit trailing system, it detects all activities in the operating system, records them in the database and offers the security manager with the related security audit data in real-time.

  • 오늘날 전 세계적으로 가속화되는 기상이변에 따라 돌발성, 국지성 폭우 및 폭설의 빈도가 급격히 증가하는 추세이다. 이 같은 돌발기상 현상은 고층 건물과 인구의 과밀화로 인해 열섬효과가 자주 발생하는 도심지에서 특히 높은 발생률을 보이며, 그로 인한 막대한 인명 및 재산상의 피해가 발생하고 있는 실정이다. 하지만 이러한 돌발성 강수 현상들은 주로 저고도에서 생성 및 발달되며, 그 수명은 2~3시간에 불과하기 때문에 현재의 국내 기상관측 시스템으로는 예측 및 예보에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 현재, 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 국내 관련 기관들에서는 도심지를 중심으로 한 저층 기상 관측을 위한 소형 레이더 네트워크 구축을 계획하고 있다. 그와 함께, 본 논문에서는 향후 도입될 소형 레이더 네트워크의 활용성을 증대시키고, 기상재해의 피해를 줄이는 방법으로써, 구글 어스의 지도 서비스를 기반으로 한 기상 레이더 자료 활용 실시간 돌발성 기상재해 감시/추적 및 경보 시스템 플랫폼을 제안한다. 제안하는 플랫폼은 전 세계적으로 통용되는 GIS 엔진으로서, 높은 확장성이 장점인 구글어스 플랫폼을 바탕으로 하며, 레이더 자료 분석 도구, 위험도 판별 도구 및 자료 표출/경보 도구 등으로 크게 세 가지의 기술도구 집단으로 구성된다. 제안한 플렛폼 상에서 시뮬레이션을 통해 구글어스 기반에서 레이더 누적강수량의 실시간 처리와 3차원 GIS 기반에서의 직관적인 경보 메시지 표출을 구현하였으며, 향후 각 기술 도구들 상의 기법들을 연구 및 개선함으로써 국토관측센서 네트워크 및 기상 재해 예 경보 체계를 위해 활용되어질 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • There are excessively hot units of a microprocessor in today's nano-scale process technology, which are called hotspots. Hotspots' heat dissipation is not perfectly conquered by mechanical cooling techniques such as heatsink, heat spreader, and fans; Hence, an architecture-level temperature simulation of microprocessors is evident experiment so that designers can make reliable chips in high temperature environments. However, conventional thermal simulators cannot be used in temperature evaluation of real machine, since they are too slow, or too coarse-grained to estimate overall system models. This paper proposes methodology of monitoring accurate runtime temperature with Hotspot[4], and introduces its implementation. With this tool, it is available to track runtime thermal behavior of a microprocessor at architecture-level. Therefore, Dynamic Thermal Management such as Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling technique can be verified in the real system.

  • In this paper, we consider the optimal control of detection threshold to minimize the conditional expectation of mean-square state estimation error for a probabilistic data association (PDA) filter. Earlier works on this problem involved the cumbersome graphical optimization algorithm or time-consuming numerical optimization algorithm. Using the numerical approximation of information reduction factor, we obtained the suboptimal detection threshold in a closed-form. This results are very useful for real- time implementation.

  • This paper proposes the real-time moving object tracking system UAV using color information. Case of object tracking, it have studied to recognizing the moving object or moving multiple objects on the fixed camera. And it has recognized the object in the complex background environment. But, this paper implements the moving object tracking system using the pan/tilt function of the camera after the object's region extraction. To do this tracking system, firstly, it detects the moving object of RGB/HSI color model and obtains the object coordination in acquired image using the compact boundary box. Secondly, the camera origin coordination aligns to object's top&left coordination in compact boundary box. And it tracks the moving object using the pan/tilt function of camera. It is implemented by the Labview 8.6 and NI Vision Builder AI of National Instrument co. It shows the good performance of camera trace in laboratory environment.

  • 본 연구는 태양광 시스템의 활용에 있어서 태양전지를 활용한 시스템의 구성은 태양에너지를 흡수하기 위하여 계절별 및 실시간으로 태양의 움직임을 추적 해 주는 시스템을 필요로 하며, 태양의 움직임에 따라 태양전지(태양열 판넬)의 방향을 안정적으로 제어하여 가장 효율이 높은 상태인 태양광과 수직으로 유지해 주는 시스템이 필요로 하고 있다. 본 논문은 계절 별 및 하루의 태양의 경로를 추적하여 태양광을 항상 수직으로 받을 수 있도록 집광판(광전변환:PV(Photovoltic))의 방향을 태양의 위치 좌표에 따라 정확한 위치로 제어하는 Fuzzy 알고리즘 기반의 2축 제어시스템을 설계하고자 한다.
