This study was conducted to investigate the convergence effects of key vocational competency on career decision making in dental hygiene students. To this end, 196 students with an experience of clinical field training, who were enrolled in the department of dental hygiene in universities of Busan and Ulsan area. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, correlation analysis and linear regression analysis using SPSS 24.0 program. The subjects' awareness level of key vocational competency was 3.38 points, while that of career decision making was 3.30 points. Among the sub-factors of key vocational competency, the awareness level of professional ethics was 3.46 points, which was the highest. As factors of key vocational competency affecting career decision making, interpersonal skills(p<0.01), skills for understanding groups(p<0.01), resource management skills(p<0.01), self-development skills(p<0.05), problem-solving skills(p<0.05), and mathematical skills(p<0.05) were found to be significant. It is necessary to make student individual, departmental, and university level convergence efforts and to develop curriculum so that dental hygiene education can help students equip with the key vocational competency as well as major competency.
The purpose of Emergency Medical System(EMS) is what a patient returns to society with recovering mental tone in the shortest time as giving prompt and proper medical treatment to patient in emergency situation, and the Correctional Administration(CA) is purposed for the convict to return and settle down to society after release from prison in success as executing schooling, enlightenment activity, vocational training to convict who was quarantined from the society for the term of imprisonment. The EMS and CA will coincide each other which is reverting people to society in safety. This study aims to suggest the developmental program of EMS in correctional facilities through the cause of emergency situation, system, human resources, establishment, medical equipments, state of budget and the point issue for safety of victim who has many chances that is exposed to physical damage and disease because of particularity of lower culture in correctional facilities and the staff who works there. First, in the view of the correctional facility security system, a proper number of the emergency rescuers should be employed. Second, the effective transportation system along with some emergency medical equipment needs to be established. Third, the correctional officers and the prisoners should be learned the first-aid training which is realistic, practical and systematic. Fourth, the cooperative system should be established such as 1339 emergency medical information center in society. Fifth, the Ministry of Health and Welfare must increase EMS budget for correctional facilities.
This paper was intended to investigate employment conditions and career planning of ex-participants of the customized training program(CTP) in Technical High Schools for the specific Small and Medium Business through questionnaires. Results of the research were: 1. The average ex-participant of CTP was employed in small size company with 50 employees, earned 1~1.2 Million Won monthly, worked about 50 hours per week. 2. They were earnestly considering and worried about their career. They had their career goals : Engineer in production and manufacturing, CEO of a company, Design engineer. 3. They were not able to invest enough time and energy in developing their capabilities and skills. 4. There were feelings of respondents, which the main barriers of their career achievement were : (1) their deficiency of personal competencies and endurance. (2) not time enough to learn (3) the fallacy of organizational support and atmosphere.
This study has 4 purposes which are as the followings. First, it is to lay out the project based learning method which enables students to improve their creative skills. Second, it explains the appropriate way to apply the project based learning method to real learning situations. Third, it identifies how the students recognize the effectiveness of learning after the learning method has been applied. Finally, it discusses how learners recognized the effectiveness of project based learning method and how it enhanced their creative skills. During this study, research was conducted on students at J Industrial technical high school in a real learning situation. The study included 60 participants from 2 classes selected from 9 classes in third grade at the high school. Data was collected using surveys. Results indicated participants recognized the project based learning method allowed them to solve problems creatively. It enabled them to improve their creative skills and apply them to learning situation. Also, they recognized that this method provided them with varying creative thinking opportunities. The most effective technique to improve their creative skills was the brainstorming(42%), followed by creative problem solving(17%), and then the checklist method(15%). The content creation(32%), topic selection(32%), and project implementation(18%) for presentations best illustrated student originality.

The purpose of this study was to identify relationships between the awareness of well-dying, advance directives knowledge and attitude, according to patient's terminal care experience among nursing students. Participants were 321 nursing students, selected from 3 universities located in Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, Jeolla-do and data were collected using self-reported questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 25.0 program, with descriptive statistics x2-test, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Pearson's correlation coefficient. There was a significant difference in advance directives attitude among nursing students with experience of patient's terminal care or no experience of patient's terminal care (t=3.011, p<.003). In addition, the awareness of well-dying (r=.194, p=.008) and advance directives knowledge (r=.201, p=.006) were positively correlated with advance directives attitude in nursing students with experience of patient's terminal care, whereas advance directives attitude was positively correlated with the awareness of well-dying (r=.189, p=.029) in nursing students with no experience of patient's terminal care. This study suggests that there is a need for the development of systematic education programs to improve a positive attitude toward advance directives and awareness of well-dying of nursing college students.

This study was conducted to identify the influence of nursing image and nursing as a major, on the professionalism of male nursing students. Totally, 180 male nursing students having experience in clinical practice from B and U cities, were enrolled as subjects. Data were collected from 15th November to 15th December, 2016. Analysis by t-test, ANOVA & Scheff's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression revealed a mean score of nursing image at 3.95, major satisfaction score of 3.90, and nursing professionalism score of 3.79. The degree of professional awareness amongst the participants was statistically and significantly different, depending on their year of study and the person who had recommended nursing as a career option. Nursing professionalism was highly correlated with the nursing image, and moderately correlated with satisfaction of nursing as a major subject. Results also indicated that 60.6% results indicating nursing professionalism were most significantly influenced by two factors: the image of the nurse, followed by satisfaction of nursing as major. We conclude that to improve the nursing professionalism of male students requires education and strategy to improve their nursing image, and career education and guidance that focuses towards greater satisfaction for their selected major subject.
Purpose : To get the data for public information and education of medical students about radiation therapy (RT). Materials and Methods : We evaluated the knowledge and attitudes towards the RT and cancer in the third grade medical students who did not receive a lecture before starting the poly-clinic education about radiation oncology in our medical school, We obtained a total of 142 answers from the students that completed the questionnaire. Results : More than half of the third grade medical students answered 1 question correctly and 5 questions incorrectly among 6 questions about knowledge of RT. Incorrect answers were done about the frequency of RT, hair loss, the period of RT, re-RT, cost of RT, Fifty-six percent of students didn't wish to prolong the survival time from 1 year to 3 years with long courses of chemotherapy and RT. They had bad images about cancer of colorectum, lung, esophagus, liver, breast, cervix which consist of 56.3$\%$ of patients receiving RT. Conclusions : Public information about the basic points of RT should be considered. Also the students showed the pessimism about the anticancer treatments such as chemotherapy and RT, so the exact results and positive aspects of anticancer treatment should be educated more. Especially it is needed to inform the students and the public the positive aspects of RT in some cancers (colorectal, lung, esophageal, hepatic, breast, cervix cancers) which the students had bad images about.

The squid fishery from the East China Sea has increased in importance in recent years, for management of resources were carried out selection experments using diamond and square mesh cod-end with enclosing small mesh cover net by trouser net method during 1991-1994 year. Mesh selection studies on Short-finned squid and Long-finned squid divided from catches by trial experiments. The results that square mesh cod-end retained proportionally fewer small and undersized Short-finned squid and Long-finned squid, square mesh cod-end were greater selection factor and 50% selection length than diamond mesh cod-end.

Cooking practice is keenly related to not only the betterment of family health but to the improvement of dietary life. Cooking is a kind of practical skill and one is skill in it by repeated practice. The aim of cooking practice in school is to fix cooking method practically and scientifically, to acquire cooking skill. To achieve this aim there are many unrecognized or unsolved problems in the first-line schools. The problems and efficient ways of cooking practice in the middle and high school are as follows; 1. The aim of cooking practice: It should be first of all remembered that the practice is so practical that the knowledge and skill of cooking should be related to the future domestic life. Second, the practice should be able to serve the communal and national life by scientifying and improving life. 2. The content of the practice: First, it should be so arranged step by step that the content of each year should not be repeated. Second, the ratio of Korean cooking practice should be increased and the material of the practice should be chosen in consideration of the peculiarity of the community, seasons and economical problems so that it may be applied to the very day life. Third, to improve dietary life, the practice should be a way of the simplification of dietary life, of the nutritional efficiency. Forth, for the betterment of physical condition of the family the practice should involve balanced dietary plans and dietary therapy. 3. Teaching method: First, the practice should be scientific and comprehensive in consideration of not only cooking skills but also knowledge of nutrition. Second, micro-class system should be adopted, and practice labor should be allotted each student to develop cooperative attitude and the sense of responsibility. Third, in addition to the practice conducted in a body, comparative cooking, applicable cooking and experimental ability and the content of the text. Fourth, teachers should let the students examine and find problems by bringing them to a focus on the basis of theory. 4. Administration method: First, the practice schedule should be planned that a class has practices at least more than twice a semester. Second, two hours of class should be continued without cessation after beforehand survey and theory study. Third, facilities and utensils for practice should be enlarged. That is, cooking practice rooms, tools, utensils should be prepared. Fourth, enough cost of practice should be secured. The above mentioned points show the present situation and problems with which cooking practice teaching is confronted. In order to normalize cooking practice teaching, the first-line schools should give the above mentioned problems their careful consideration and improve the present situation so that efficient, creative, practical cooking practice will be possible.

The purpose of this study is to find out problems through looking into the actual condition of management and the extent of application in cooking practice in High School Home Economics Education, and as a practical subject, to present some basic materials to contribute to accomplishing the object of High School Home Economics Education through trying to find a direction to enhance educational value. The contents of this study are these : to study with a theoretical background character, object, and contents of Home Economics referring to related books and to investigate the actual condition of management, the extent of application to life of cooking practice unit, and standard of recognition of students and teachers about this subject and to find out rational and efficient method of management. 552 girl students and 72 home economics teachers in cities and counties in Kangwon-do were asked to answer the answer-sheet prepared. The result of this study is summerized as follows. 1. Most of the respondent regard the characters and objects of Home Economics as a matter of basic education, education for life, and education for the wholeman, but they neglect the aspect of education for a course of this subject. 2. Among the contents of Home Economics, students are much interested in the Unit of preparing table, especially in cooking. Most of the teachers teach the cooking unit with only explanation without practice because of the lack of material and human resources. 3. Students have desire to do cooking practice, but the extent of application of their real life appears to be low. 4. It appears to be necessary that boy students as well as girl students should learn Home Economics as an education for preparation for managing housework. 5. Home Economics teachers are mostly satisfied with their teaching profession. But teachers who have been teaching for 3 or 5 years appear not to be satisfied with it. 6. Although Home Economics teachers can teach Cooking practice Unit with confidence, they usually do it with theory rater than with practice, and they evaluate it after practicing, but most of them do not add the result to the student’s grade. 7. They use most of the cookers fixed on the standard list of High School Cooking Practice appliances, but they seldom use electric heating cookers.
