Evaluation of Foil Strength by Full Scale Strain Measurement (실선 계측에 의한 수중익 강도 평가)

  • The procedure and the results of the full scale strain measurement of the long-range high-speed foil catamaran are described. The wave induced stresses at the center struts of the foils were measured during the sea trials in order to evaluate the hydrodynamic force acting on the foils and to verify the structural safety of the foil structures. From the statistical properties of the measured response of the stress, the most probable maximum values of the lift force and the stresses at the foils in service life of the ship are predicted and compared with the design parameters of the foils which were applied in the design of the subject ship. The available prediction processes of the measured stress are studied and the results of the applied processes are compared with each other.

실습선 한바다호의 운항성능에 관한 연구( I );선체감시장치 (HMS) 계측 데이터를 이용한 내항성능 평가

  • 최근에 선박이 대형화, 고속화되면서 선수 충격파 영향으로 인하여 선체 또는 화물에 잦은 손상을 초래하기도 하고, 극단적인 상황에서는 선박이 절단되기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 내항성능 평가요소 중 하나인 상하가속도 값을 선교에 설치된 선체감시장치를 이용하여 해상상태별 변화량을 계측하고, 이를 모형시험 및 이론계산 결과와 상호 비교하였다. 또한 ITTC 에서 제시하는 내항성능 기준치와도 비교함으로써 실습선 한바다호의 내항성능을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 앞으로 경험할 수 있는 다양한 해상상태에서의 작업가능성 및 위험성 정도의 예측을 가능하게 함으로써 선박의 안전운항에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 판단되며, 또한 다양한 실선계측 자료를 통하여 조선소에서는 보다 우수한 성능의 선박 건조가 가능하리라 본다.

  • It is expected that ISO issue a standard method for sea trial and the correction of data taken during speed trial. One of the major reason for this effort(or trend) is to get reliable and accurate sea trial measurement. With the same philosophy, SHI(Samsung Heavy Industries) developed a nautical signal integrated unit in 1996. Two years after this, SHI developed a software that enable the user to analyze the sea trial measurement on-board. After a series of stationary and performance tests, KR has issued a certificate for international application of the software. We have been utilizing this program for the measurement and analysis of sea trial of more than 70 ships built in SHI shipyard. However, one critical defect of the software has been that it can be applied only for single shaft vessels. In this short paper, we would like to introduce a new version of the software which can be used for both single and multi thruster vessels. This paper deals with the introduction, test method and some of the test result.

An experimental study for prediction of the fluctuating pressure induced by a cavitating propeller (캐비티가 발생한 프로펠러의 변동압력 추정을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • The influence of propeller revolution on measurement of fluctuating pressure is almost minimized in the KRISO cavitation tunnel and the measurement accuracy of fluctuating pressure acting on a flat plate due to a cavitating propeller is improved. The measurement data for Sydney Excess propeller is compared with the measurement results of other research institutes loading to the conclusion that KRISO data is so stable and reasonable. The fluctuating pressure data measured on a model ship and the prototype ship is compared with the data measured on the flat plate. The solid boundary factor, derived from a calculation based on a lifting surface theory, is applied to predict full scale pressure level from the experimental data on the flat plate, showing quite reasonable agreement with full scale data.

  • 해양사고 발생 직후 2차적인 피해로의 확산을 방지하기 위한 조치로 사고선박을 안전한 장소로 이동하게 된다. 사고선박의 크기와 상태 그리고 해상조건을 고려하여 예선의 크기와 척수가 결정된다. 이 과정에서 사고선박의 선체저항을 계산하게 되는데, 기존의 이론식을 적용하여 계산하고 이에 대한 검증 단계로 예인실험을 실시하였다. 대상선박은 목포해양대학교 실습선 새유달호이며, 장력계, 외력 측정장치 등 실험장치는 실습선에 탑재하여 계측하였다. 실험장소는 목포해양대학교 인근 묘박지이며, 당시 풍속은 7m/s, 조류는 0.7m/s 전후이었으며, 횡방향 예인, 전방 2척 예인, 전 후방예인, 프로펠러고착, 예인속력의 변화 등 다양한 시나리오에 대하여 실험을 실시하였다. 장력의 계측은 예선의 예인삭을 사용하였으며, 실습선 선수미 비트에 장력계를 연결하여 측정하였고, 장력계의 최대측정 범위는 20톤을 사용하였다. 예인속력은 정지에서 3m/s까지 단계적으로 증가시키면서 해당 속력별 장력을 계측하여 속력증가에 따른 예인력을 확인하였다. 최종적으로 이론계산 결과와 실선실험 결과를 상호 비교하여 이론계산식의 유효성을 검증하였다.

  • By the typhoon "MAEMI" in 2003, a lot of marine accidents such as stranding, collision etc. occurred to the vessels at anchor in "JINHAE MAN" which was considered one of the most safe sheltering anchorage in Korea. These accidents resulted from the dragging of anchor by the strong winds. It needs to compare the external forces with the holding powers of anchors to estimate if the anchor will be dragged or not. However, the calculation of the force by the wind on the ship, in particular, on the wind pressure area which changes by the swinging of her bow is not yet set on a thesis. Therefore, this paper verified that how many times the front wind pressure area should be applied to calculate the force by the wind on the ship at anchor by comparing and analyzing the numerical calculation with, the actual ship's data which was really dragged by the strong wind.

  • For navigation safety, navigators have to be familiar with maneuverabilities. When a vessel encounters a danger of collisions and stranding, maneuverability is essential for the safety of ship. It is composed of turning, course change, speed change, etc. In the latter part, maneuverabilities and motion of Training Ship HANBADA are provided by full-scale measurement in the $10^{\circ}/10^{\circ}$ Zig-Zag Test, $20^{\circ}/20^{\circ}$ Zig-Zag Test and Turning Circle Test(Port and Starboard). It aims to provide information on maneuverabilities and motion of Training Ship HANBADA so that the navigators can take proper action to avoid.

일본의 산.학.연 협동 연구사례 - 무진동선 개발과제

  • 본 개발에서는 주로 진동응답의 추정법에 대하여 검토하고 큰 성과를 얻었다. 이를 실제 설계에 활용해 나가는 것이 앞으로의 기본적인 과제이다. 또 이를 앞으로도 계속 개발해 나가기 위해서 는 다음과 같은 개발과제들을 들 수 있다. 1) 진동응답추정 .계산model 본 계발에는 Oil tanker와 산적화물선의 in-put generator(I/G)을 개발하였다. 이 이외의 선종 에 대하여도 본 개발에 의한 방법을 적용하게 되면 보다 정도 높은 계산 model로 새로이 refine해 나갈 수가 있다. .실선mode 해석전용 본 개발에 의하여 얻은 실선 mode해석 방법에 의하면 실선 계측으로부터 정확한 진동질량(m) 과 감쇄계수(d)를 얻게 된다. 이와 같은 m값과 d값의 자료를 더 축적하게 되면 진동응답 계 산정도를 한층 더 높일 수 있다. 2) 진동 제어 .종래의 설계방법과 본 개발에 의한 계산방법을 종합 적용하게 되면, 최적의 구조설계의 실용화 와 진동의 제어가 가능하게 될 것이다. .Enging, propeller 자체의 기진력을 경감시키는 연구는 본 개발에 들지 않고 앞으로의 과제로 남는다. .본 신형 주기방진stay의 개발은 본 진동제어의 idea에 도입하게 되면 또 다른 새로운 개발이 가능하다. .종래의 재료와 새로운 고성능 재료를 조합하게 되면 진동재어재료로서의 실용화가 가능하다.

A Study on the Evaluation of Cargo Securing Safety for Car ferry Ships Using Wave Height Information (해상 파고 정보를 활용한 카페리 선박의 고박안전성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Cargo securing safety, which is one factor for the safe operation of car ferry ships, has been applied since 2015 and evaluated by comparing the hull motion and securing load capacity generated by waves. To ensure the safe operation of the 3700 ton class car ferry, it is important to analyze the hull acceleration motion based on the sea wave information of the navigation area to determine the cargo securing load that can prevent the movement of cargo. In this study, the meteorological information of three wave buoys installed in Busan and Jeju area was analyzed for the past 5 years. In addition, the hull acceleration was measured in actual sea conditions and compared to that of numerical simulations. Under the condition of a significant wave height of 2.5 m from Feb to Mar, except typhoon seasons, the lateral acceleration was observed to be 1.5 m/s2 in real ship measuring and 1.8 m/s2 in numerical calculation. It was analyzed to be less than 40% under general weather conditions compared to the high wave warning using an approximate formula for estimating the hull motion by wave height. The cargo securing safety proposed in this study will be widely used based on the actual measuring acceleration with the sea wave height.
