The allowable sound levels of major noise sources for the indoor-noise requirements of KHST (한국형 고속전철(KHST) 실내소음 설계기준을 위한 주요 소음원의 허용소음도)

  • It is required that the indoor-noise level of KHST (Korean High Speed Train) should be lower than 66 dB(A) at 300 km/h. In this study, the indoor-noise level of KHST has been predicted to determine the maximum allowable sound power levels of major noise sources. It is found that the indoor-noise requirements for KHST can be met by increasing the transmission losses of the floor and side-wall structures as well as by lowering the sound power levels of the major noise sources.

  • The intense noise generated by military aircraft hans a significant impact on ground crews and their families on airbase. For minimizing the impact of the aircraft noise on the airport, appropriate indoor noise standard is required. This paper studied to establish the indoor noise standard on the military airport. The aircraft noise was measured and analyzed the frequence characteristics. the remodeling of office for the noise mitigation was enforced to verify the appropriate internal noise standard and to select the method of reinforcement. The noise standard was classified three categories according to the dwelling, office and usage of building with flight train facilities and banishment in military airfield.

The Evaluation of Interior Noise for Domestic Trains (국내 여객열차 실내소음 평가)

  • In this study, we measured and analyzed the interior noise, the rolling noise and the engine noise at Honam line(Seodaejeon- Jangseong) for passenger and power cars. The noise level is below 69㏈A for Seamaeul PMC(Powered Motor Car) coachs, below 65㏈A for Seamaeul and Mukungwha coachs, over 80㏈A for the driver's room of PMC and DEL (Diesel-Electric Locomotive). We also proposed the criteria of interior noise in free field conditions, below 67㏈A for passenger cars, below 86㏈A for power cars.

  • Nowadays, among several reasons for customers to choose their own cars, NVH performance plays much important role. The concern for the car interior noise is increasing recently, because electric cars and hybrid cars generate less engine noise which was the main noise of traditional cars. According to oversea references, high Lateral Dynamic Stiffness (LDS) of vehicle wheels is described to reduce Structure Bone Noise (SBN) which is being generated while driving cars. However availablet test standards and test results are not enough, in this study the interior noise has been measured after attaching a same tyre to several wheels which has different Lateral Dynamic Stiffness. The test has verified that the interior noise differs depending on Lateral Dynamic Stiffness of wheels. As to this, the reduction of the interior noise can be possible with the optimal design of the wheel.

  • The noise inside a naval vessel is very important in considering the need for hearing protection, improving the working environment and maintaining good communications for crews living on board a naval vessel. The indoor noise of a ship usually is specified by the A-weighted sound pressure level, but other evaluating parameters are required to reflect human senses more effectively. This paper uses additional noise indices related to room acoustics, such as NR(noise rating), NC(noise criterion), RC(room criterion), PSIL(preferred speech interference level) and loudness level to evaluate the noise inside cabins on a naval vessel. Using these psychological noise indices, allowable limit of noise level in cabins is suggested through psycho-acoustic evaluation for the noise in cabins.

  • In this paper, we apply the NR (Noise Rating) to the evaluation of the residual noise of the window type ANC (Active Noise Control) and study the active noise controller for minimizing the NR value in rooms. We proposed a shape of a noise shaping filter of the Filtered-E LMS (Least Mean Square) algorithm that reduces the NR value within the effective operating frequency band of the ANC. The usefulness of the proposed scheme is verified by simulation and showed that the NR value of the residual noise is lower than the filters used in the conventional psychoacoustic ANC.

  • 우리나라에서 고속철도는 이미 중요한 대중교통수단 중 하나가 되었으며 향후에도 운행구간을 확대할 예정인 만큼 승객수도 더욱 증가할 것으로 보인다. 또한 승객수가 증가하는 만큼 정숙한 실내환경의 조성 또한 요구되고 있다. 하지만 현재 철도차량 소음에 관한 연구는 대부분 철도 외부에서 방사되는 소음에 한정되어 있으며 철도차량의 내부 소음 특성에 대한 연구는 미비한 상황이다. 현재 국내 환경소음에 대한 규정은 음압레벨만을 기준으로 하고 있지만 실제로 사람이 소음에 대하여 느끼는 청감특성을 나타내기에는 음압레벨만으로는 부족하다. 사람의 청감특성을 효과적으로 반영하기 위하여 음질(Sound Quality)평가의 방법에 대해 현재 활발하게 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서 운행중인 고속철도 실내 소음의 특성에 대하여 연구하였다. 음압레벨과 loudness의 관계에 대하여 분석하였고 Zwicker parameter과 ACF, IACF 분석을 통하여 객관적인 음질평가를 실시하였다. 또한 청감실험을 통하여 주관적인 음질평가를 수행하여 청감특성에 대하여 분석하고 객관적 평가의 결과를 검증하였다.

  • 가전기기의 진동과 소음은 제품의 고품질화에 상당히 저해되고 진동에 의한 소음이나 소음에 의한 진동을 해석하기 위하여 부단하게 노력하고 있다. 소리를 음이라 하며 음의 발생을 매질의 움직임에 의한 에너지 전달로 이해하고 있다. 따라서 음은 파동을 가지게 되어 음파(sound wave)로 불리우는 파에 의해 이동되며 이동시 주위의 매질에 압력 파동을 유발시킨다. 따라서 실내에서 발생하는 소리와 목욕탕등에서 나는 소리는 매질의 다른 성질(공기밀도)에 의해 다르게 느껴진다. 일반적으로 음의 주파수라하면 1초동안 음의 고저가 몇번 발생하였는가를 의미하며 사람이 소리로서 느끼는 주파수 범위를 20Hz에서 20kHz로 나타내어 가청 주파수라 한다. 그러나, 소리중에서도 사람에게 불쾌감을 일으키거나 심하면 고통까지 유발시키는 원하지 않는 소리가 있는데 이를 소음(noise)이라 부른다. 가전기기의 중요 소음 발생원이 유체소음, 전자기소음, 기계적소음, 연소소음등 소음원의 종류에 따라 저소음기술을 해석하는데 상당한 차이가 있다. 따라서 사용조건별 설정기준을 정하고 설정기준에 따른 현상소음 lavel보다 약 10dBA보다 낮은 소음 목표치로 설계되어야 한다.
