Numerical Study on Indoor Dispersion of Radon Emitted from Building Materials (건축자재로부터 방출되는 라돈의 실내 확산에 대한 수치해석적 연구)

  • Growing concerns about harmful influence of radon on human body, many efforts are being made to decrease indoor radon concentration in advanced countries. To develop an indoor radon reduction technology, it is necessary to develop a technology to predict and evaluate indoor inflow and emission of radon. In line with that, the present study performed computational modelling of indoor dispersion of radon emitted from building materials. The computational model was validated by comparing computational results with analytical results. This study employed CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis to evaluate the radon concentration and the airflow characteristics. Air change rate and ventilation condition were changed and several building materials having different radon emission characteristics were considered. From the results, the indoor radon concentration was high at flow recirculation zones and inversely proportional to the air change rate. For the different building materials, the indoor radon concentration was found to be highest in cement bricks, followed by eco-carats and plaster boards in the order. The findings from this study will be used as a method for selecting building materials and predicting and evaluating the amount of indoor radon in order to reduce indoor radon.

  • The objective of this study was to identify the most representative issues of 1990s in the area of architectural design education, which has been interconnected very closely with the interior-architectural design since the history began, to establish a foundational reconstruction of interior-architectural education program. Particularly focusing on the issues of architectural education of 1990s, three subjects of writen materials were examined ; (1) the history of architectural education, (2) the theories of architectural design, (3) the works of architecural students performing the architectural design program in schools. This analysis of existing writings found four major issues of 1990s which are performing the fundamental disscussions in the context of the architectural education, probably these issues would be effecting the future of the architectural design of the future: (1) The expects of Heterogeneity and Multiplicity (2) The effections/penetrations of the world-wide-web (3) The conflicts between globalism and regionalism (4) The breaks of margins in architectural education

다중이용시설의 실내공기질 실태조사 연구

  • 국내의 경우, 2004년 5월부터 시행예정인 다중이용시설 등의 실내공기질관리법에 따라서, 학교 등의 일부 건축물을 제외하고 신축공동주택 및 대부분의 거주용 공간에 대한 실내공기질관리법이 제정되었다. 이러한, 건축물 내에는 다양한 오염원(sources)과 휘발성유기화합물(VOCs), 포름알데히드(HCHO), 라돈(Radon), 석면(Asbestos), 일산화탄소(CO), 이산화탄소($CO_2$), 이산화질소(NO$_2$), 오존(O$_3$), 미세 먼지(PM10), 부유세균 등 유해오염물질(contaminants)이 존재하고 있다. 또한, 실내공기오염은 각 오염원에서의 유해오염물질 방산정도(emission rate)가 실내외 환경조건, 적용 건축자재의 종류 및 공법 , 환기설비의 특성 및 유형 등에 따라 큰 차이를 보이고 있으므로, 이에 대한 정확한 측정방법의 정립과 그에 따른 적절한 실태조사의 실시가 필요하다.   • This study is to analyze the social integration plan characteristics of public rental housing community facilities in England, Singapore and Korea. The purpose of this study is to present the direction of social integrated community facility planning and management system for the revitalization of the Korean public rental housing community. To this end, similarities and dissimilarities are derived by comparing cases of community facilities in apartments. Methods of this study include literature survey, analyzed government web sites in overseas cases. Also domestic cases are analyzed qualitatively through field visits, expert interviews, and internal data review. The results of this study are as follows: First, various community facilities plans are needed to accommodate the role of private and public spaces. Second, activate the professional community facilities operation system with public-private cooperation. Third, Community facilities should be planned as local infrastructure.

  • As the environmental paradigm is the major issue today, the guideline of the ecological design in the interior architectural field is needed. One on the knowledge necessary to plan the ecological interior architecture as a designer is the spectification related factors for planning, which should be applied in materialistic matters. In this paper, the knowledge of materials and products needed to design interior space considering the ecological factors is studied. And, a guideline for the eco-design is investigated for the expression of the environmentally friendly perception.

A Study on the Applicability of Holography in the Interior Architectural Design (실내건축디자인에서 홀로그래피 적용 가능성에 관한 연구)

  • Holography provides a medium for creative visual experiences in space and scale. It has been firmly established as a tool for scientific and engineering studies. It could be creatively used in interior architecture and display as a practical device and as a form of art. Basic principles and features of holography are explained. Design of the holographic systems are illustrated in some interior architectural applications. It is believed that holographic elements can make a valuable contribution to interior architecture design by controlling light and creating new concepts of colour and space.
