HSRC-OQPSK Transceiver Architectures for High-Speed Data Communications using Differential Coding for 4-Phase Ambiguity (고속 데이터 통신을 위한 HSRC-OQPSK 4위상 모호 해결 차동 코딩 송수신기 구조)

  • Recently, HSRC (Half-Symbol-Rate-Carrier) OQPSK (Offset Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) signaling which reduces the bandwidth of transmitted signal for high-speed data communications has been introduced. Since the signal is based on QPSK modulation, it also has the characteristics of QPSK signal. This paper introduces architectures of the transceiver using differential coding to resolve the 4-phase ambiguity problem of the HSRC-QOPSK signaling for high-speed data communications. In addition, this paper proves the functionality of the transceiver with differential coding and shows the BER (bit-error-rate) performance of the transceiver by simulations.

Design of 4-Way Wilkinson Divider with Waveguide to Stripline Transition Used in The Monopulse Radar Front-end (도파관 천이 구조를 갖는 모노펄스 레이더용 4-Way 윌킨슨 분배기 설계)

  • From the present paper we researched about the design of 4-Way Wilkinson divider with waveguide to stripline transition which used to split the LO signal with equi-amplitude and equi-phase in the X-Band Monopulse radar RF front-end. The monopulse radar front end operating in the X-Band is composed of 3 waveguide reception mixers which down convert sum, azimuth and elevation signal to IF and one SSB waveguide mixers which generate X-Band test signal. It is required the 4-way divider with low loss, equi amplitude and equiphase splitting the LO signal to provide the LO signal to each mixer consisting RF frontend. In this paper we designed and fabricated the 4-Way Wilkinson divider with waveguide transition to divide the LO signal into equi-amplitude and equi-phase. The fabricated Wilkinson divider have the insertion loss 6.8dB, VSWR 1.06~1.28, and phase balance maximum 4.5degree for each output ports.

주기적 등척성 수축에서의 국소근육피로 측정을 통한 피로지수의 개발

  • 등척성 수축에서 국소근육피로의 연구에는 표면전극을 사용한 근전도신호의 스펙트럼분석 이 효과적이다. 많은 연구결과에서 자발적 수축동안 근전도신호의 주파수 성분이 근육의 피로에 의해 낮은 쪽으로 천이 된다는 사실이 밝혀졌으며, 이를 근육피로의 지수로 사용하려는 노력이 계속되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 실제와 유사한 형태의 주기적 작업수행시에 얻어진 근전도신호의 중간주파수 천이양상을 지속적 수축에서 얻어진 중간주파수의 천이양상과 비교하여, 주기적 작업의 피로축적은 지속적 수축에서의 피로축적과 같은 경향성을 지님을 찾아냈으며, 이 결과를 근거로 주기적 수축의 수축지속시간으로 정규화된 개념의 피로지수를 개발하였다. 이러한 피로지수는 정량적으로 제시될 수 있음은 물론, 작업설계와 허용한계의 설정등에 응용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • In this paper, we propose a color enhancement system which is based on the improvement of transition time problem and specific color detection stability. The proposcd system apply the time difference correction step to corrects time difference which is taken place at the transimission process between color signal and color subcarrier signal and to reduce detection errors. And also, we proposed stability method to improve transition time problem and detection efficiency as the control of reference color. The proposed system controls specific color when the mean difference value of detected voltages greater than the value of minimum discriminate voltages of two adjacent color signals. Thus, the color enhancement system improves detection efficiency and controls specific color from the color signal without overlapping of correction range.

  • When we classify underwater transient signals with frame-by-frame decision, a database design method for reference feature vectors influences on the system performance such as size of database, computational burden and recognition rate. In this paper the LBG vector quantization algorithm is applied to reduction of the number of feature vectors for each reference signal for efficient classification of underwater transient signals. Experimental results have shown that drastic reduction of the database size can be achieved while maintaining the classification performance by using the LBG vector quantization.

  • In this paper we propose a shift-invariant uHMT estimation for wavelet-based image denoising. The proposed estimation have just nine meta-parameter (independent of the size of the image and the number of wavelet scales) and requires no kinds of training. Also it solve visual artifacts resulted in the lack of shift-invariance in the DWT. The experimental results show that the proposed estimation is more effective than the other wavelet-based denoising by 0.5-ldB (PSNR) and allows an Ο(nlog n) in terms of performance speed.

  • 시벼형 신호인 음성 신호의 분석에 칼만필터를 이용하였다. 일반적인 음성 분석은 프레임단위의 처리방법인 선형 예측 부호화 기법을 주로 이용하지만 음성의 시변 특성을 파악하는데에는 적절하지 못 하다. 따라서 순차적인 추정기법으로 많이 이용되는 칼만 필터를 음성 분석에 적용하였다. 또한 음성과 같은 시변신호에서는 과거 신호의 잡음의 분산값에 적당한 가중치를 부가하므로써 과거의 신호에 의해 서 현재의 추정값에 미치는 영향을 줄였으며 이를 음성의 천이 구간에서의 파라메타 추정에 사용하였 다. 그리고 음성신호 모델에서 생기는 모델링 오차는 일반적으로 백색 가우시안 잡음으로 가정하고 있 으나 이는 자음과 같은 무성음에서 특징 파라메타 푸정에는 오차가 적지만 모음등의 유성음에서는 음성 발생시의 여기신호인 펄스열에 의해서 많은 모델링 오차를 생기게 한다. 따라서 모델링 오차신호는 Non-Gaussian 확률분포로 가정한 후 로버스트 칼만 필터를 사용하여 합성으멩 대해 특징 파라메터를 추출하였다.

DSP based Narrow-Band Signal Power Detector for Tracking Control of Satellite Antenna (위성통신안테나 추적제어를 위한 DSP 기반의 협대역신호 전력 검출기)

  • This paper presents DSP based narrow band satellite communication signal power detector for tracking control of mobile satellite antenna system. An analog filter based conventional power detector has poor performance due to frequency drift of carrier. Also, it is very difficult to change an analog filter bandwidth according to changed bandwidth of transmitted signal. To solve these difficulties, we proposed DSP based signal power detector, which is easy to change bandwidth of filter and to match shifted frequency of carrier. The proposed signal power detector consists of a FFT function to measure frequency drift of carrier, a programmable filter bank function to limit of received signal bandwidth and a power calculation function to measure power of filtered signal in 12-bit linear scale. Test results of implemented signal power detector, based on TMS320C5402 DSP, showed that it satisfied required functions and performances and properly operated.

  • An accurate signal integrity verification method based on high-frequency measurements is proposed. For practical transmission lines that require a package process, process variations metal roughness and skin effects and boundary conditions may have deteriorative effects on circuit performance. These effects are represented in terms of parameters that can be readily utilized for field-solver. Thereby a more accurate signal integrity verification using field-solver can be achieved. It is shown that in both single and coupled lines the signal transients using the proposed method have excellent agreement with the measurement data.

An Algorithm on Function Hazard Elimination for Asynchronous Circuit Synthesis (비동기 회로 합성을 위한 펑션 해저드 제거 알고리듬)

  • In this paper, a new function hazard elimination algorithm is proposed for asynchronous circuit synthesis. In previous approach, function hazard is eliminated by using state graph which is obtained from the state assignment on STG(signal transition graph) representing transition relationship among signals. These algorithms can use conventional hazard removal and synthesis method applied in synchronous system, but it has much computational complexity and takes much time to handle the state graph. Although some hazard elimination algorithm from STG were proposed, it could not reduce the area overhead due to the addition of new signals. The proposed algorithm eliminate function hazard directly on STG and also control the number of minterms and product-term of added signal in order to minimize the area overhead. Experimental results on benchmark data shows that overall circuit area after hazard elimination is decreased about 15% on the average than that of previous method.
