  • The zebrafish(Danio rerio) is a pre-eminent vertebrate model system for clarification of the roles of specific genes and signaling pathways in development. We show examples of positional cloning in two developmental mutants in zebrafish. headless: The severe head defects in headless(hdl) mutants are due to a mutation in T-cell factor-3(Tcf3). Loss of Tcf3 function in the hdl mutant reveals that Hdl represses Wnt target genes. The results provide genetic evidence that a component of the Wnt signaling pathway is essential in vertebrate head formation and patterning. mind bomb: Reduced lateral inhibition in mind bomb(mib) mutants permits too many neural precursors to differentiate as neurons. Positional cloning of mib revealed that it is a gene in the Notch pathway that encodes a ubiquitin E3 ligase. Mib interacts with the intracellular domain of Delta to promote its internalization. The results suggest a model for Notch activation where the Delta-Notch interaction is followed by endocytosis of Delta and transendocytosis of the Notch extracellular domain by the signaling cell.

  • Retinal bipolar cells according to the light stimulus respond to potential slowly, emit neurotransmitter release(glutamine acid) to depend on membrane potential. In this paper, the several physiological information on neurotransmitter release mechanism in the presynaptic terminal of the ON-type bipolar cells are incorporated into the formula model. The source of fast components and slow components of neurotransmitter release was arranged in parallel, this model was able to reproduce the membrane potential and intracellular $Ca^{2+}$ concentration dependence of neurotransmitter release faithfully. In addition, because the fast releasable components of neurotransmitter was represented by the membrane potential dependence of trapezoid type, whereas the slow releasable components was represented by the membrane potential dependence of a bell type, $Ca^{2+}$ concentration rise in intracellular is suppressed by $Ca^{2+}$ buffer to reduce slow releasable components, it was confirmed that the membrane potential dependence of neurotransmitter release was characteristics of a trapezoid type. And, in the light response of ON type bipolar cell, the result of the simulation of the neurotransmitter release caused by the components of transient and persistent was that the start of light response occurred the fast release of neurotransmitter, it was confirmed that the transient component and persistent component of the light response occurred the slow release. It was confirmed that the later of persistent component of the light response occurred due to the continuous release by synaptic vesicle supplemented from the storage pool.

Simulation model is developed using SLAM II network nodes according to signalling mode and transrated into SLAM II statement, . The simulation results are compared with experimental results and analyzed in order to get the maximum throughput, processing delay time, bottleneck eiement. Also, in order to get the optimized structure of the CSM, simulation is performed on the vanous case, namely, change of the number of STB, change of STG bus or B bus speed, change of CSIOB, processing speed, change of the number of transfered message per one poll.

  • We had introduced the backgrounds, history and physical meanings of Jong Nang in "Jeju Jong Nang Channel Code I, II and III". In "Jeju Jong Nang Channel Code II" paper, we have introduced practical the root of digital human binary coded Jong Nang communications as the wooden gate in Korea Jeju Island custom and investigated Jong Nang gatemodels as an approximation of the AWGN model. The objective was to find a deterministic model, which was accessible to analysis the capacity. Jong Nang communications mean the normal 3 rafters placed on two vertical stones with three holes to convey the family's whereabouts that is deterministic signal. In this paper we find the capacity of deterministic signal processing about the linear deterministic signals approximately.

  • In this paper, an analytic transfer channel modeling function by impulse signal propagation effects in indoor power-line network are analysed. The modeled channel parameters of power line channel including background noise is applied to the OFDM system and we analysis BER for QPSK and 16-QAM modulation signals with simulation. By the representation of gain for OFDM modulation, we can estimate the characteristic parameters of OFDM in Broadband power line communication.

  • As a power transmission element, the timing belt is a toothed transmission belt that takes advantages of V-belts and gears. It has characteristics of non-slip and low noise. It is used as a power transmission device when transmitting power from a rotating shaft or linear motion in a mechanism. Rotation can be accurately transmitted through a belt pulley with grooves like a gear and a timing belt with grooves to precisely match with the belt pulley. In particular, in the mechanism in which the timing belt is used for the output shaft, the dynamic characteristics including the rigidity of the timing belt determine the transmission characteristics of the system, so its importance increases. In this paper, a stiffness reinforced belt that can be applied to a timing belt with a limited range of motion to increase its stiffness is proposed. To study the dynamic characteristics of the stiffness reinforced belt, the equation of motion for the stiffness reinforced belt was established, and a simulation model for the stiffness reinforced belt was created and analyzed. In order to confirm the analysis results of the motion equation and simulation model, a 1-axis rotation experimental equipment using a stiffness reinforcing belt was developed and the experiment was conducted. Through motion equations, simulation models, and experiment results, it was confirmed that the stiffness and dynamic characteristics of the timing belt could be improved by applying the proposed stiffness reinforcement belt.
