To achieve this purpose, the study suggested a body image formation model of adolescents that can be applied to home economics education, and based on this formation model, analyzed contents on body image of current 12 textbooks of home economics education. The main results of this study are summarized as follows: First, to analyze textbook through body image formation model of adolescents, educational contents about body image were categorized into 4 constructs with 8 sub-categories. Second, we found the current textbooks about the child and family life field, food and dietary life field, and clothing life, are handling topics regarding body image formation model of adolescents, such as concepts and components of body image and antecedents and outcomes of body image. We conclude that although the current textbooks handles contents on body image of adolescents, those contents are sporadically presented across the three fields without an integrated perspective. Home Economics, as an entity of educating adolescents' self-esteem through daily life activities, needs to have a topic-oriented approach in developing a curriculum.

  • Women's perceptions of body size and body image are important topics for researchers in multiple fields. The terms body image or body self refer to perceptions and beliefs that an individual holds about his or her body (Rosenbaum, 1979; Schilder, 1953). Few studies have focused on body image perceptions as they relate to parent-child pairs. This study investigated the perceptions that mothers and daughters each had of their own body, the other's body, and their ideals for the same. The purposive sample used in this study consisted of 41 mother-daughter pairs. The sampled focus was girls between ages 9 and 14, and their mothers. Significant differences between how mothers saw their daughters and how daughters saw themselves emerged only for the plus size group. The clearest significant difference between mothers and daughters was in their dissatisfaction with themselves. The mothers were more dissatisfied. flus-size girls were significantly more dissatisfied with their mothers' bodies than normal size girls were with their mothers' bodies. The mothers of plus size girls were significantly more dissatisfied with their daughters' bodies than were the mothers of normal size daughters.

  • Grotesque, which has often emerged as a breakthrough in Western art to protest rational and classical pure beauty, is often seen in modern art. Grotesque, along with the concept of pendulum, appears in infinitely expanded forms across cultures, arts, and society. In particular, transformed body images through deformatization and deformatization of the body are interpreted as strong rejections that seek to break away from formalized beauty. The main purpose of this study is how the body reproduced through body deformation, distortion, and bonding in Dimitris Papaioannou's work can be interpreted within the grotesque category. To this end, he examines the Grotesque discourse and modern meaning underlying the interpretation of the work and identifies how the fragmented and expanding body, which is currently actively discussed in the dance world, has an interaction with Grotesque. It selects , , , and , which are the main attributes of the grotesque, focus on conflicting familiarity, life, hatred, and beauty. Based on this, we would like to confirm that in contemporary dance, the reconstructed body reveals concealed things rather than expressing an unrealistic fictional world, and seeks new possibilities beyond boundaries as well as reconsider existing aesthetic views.
