  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between job-seeking stress and somatization symptoms and to explore the mediating effects of maladaptive self-focused and emotional dysregulation in college students. The SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 were performed to analyze the path relationship between variables. First, maladaptive self-focused mediated the relationship between job-seeking stress and somatization symptoms. Emotional dysregulation mediated the relationship between job-seeking stress and somatization symptoms. Second, maladaptive self-focused and emotional dysregulation partial dual mediated the relationship between job-seeking stress and somatization symptoms. It suggests that college students with job-seeking stress tend to be maladaptive self-focused, therefore they have difficulty in emotion regulation and eventually expose somatization symptoms.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of physical health on oral health in university staff and the mediating effect of stress on their relationship. As for the research method, a questionnaire survey was conducted from June 15 to June 30, 2021 for some university staff in the Seoul area. As research tools, general characteristics, somatic symptoms, oral symptoms, and perceived stress were investigated. For the analysis method, Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the correlation between physical symptoms, stress, and oral symptoms, and regression analysis was used to verify the mediating effect. As a result, somatic symptoms, stress, and oral symptoms all showed a positive correlation. Also, somatic symptoms were found to have an effect on oral symptoms, and stress had a partially mediating effect on the relationship between somatic symptoms and oral symptoms: somatic symptoms directly affect oral symptoms, and stress directly and indirectly affects oral symptoms. In conclusion, institutional measures are needed to reduce the work stress of the university staff, and regular oral health education to promote oral health should be expanded.

  • We aimed to provide evidences for developing non-pharmacological intervention in older adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment(MCI) by integrated literature review. The final 16 papers were selected as a result of an integrated literature analysis. All of them are focused on strengthening cognitive activities, while Korean studies have often merged emotional activities such as music therapy and laughter therapy rather than physical activities such as exercise therapy, international studies have combined physical activities rather than emotional activities. The effects of non-pharmacological intervention differed according to the outcome variables. The primary variables were cognitive function and depression, and secondary variables were found to have effects on physical function, activities of daily living (ADL), and self-efficacy. This study contributes to a multidisciplinary approach that can be applied in the clinical field through the development of various non-pharmaceutical intervention for the prevention of dementia in the older adults with MCI.

  • This is a convergence study to investigate the factors affecting the physical health status of college students and to present a strategy for effective program development. The participants of this study were 200 college students in a region and collected data by self-reported questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: 1) The physical-health status of the college students was positively correlated with the subjective perception of health status(${\beta}=-.323$, p<.01), health awareness(${\beta}=-.278$, p<.01), gender(${\beta}=-.197$, p<.01), and breakfast habit(${\beta}=-.192$, p<.01). And the explanatory power($R_2$) by 4 variables was 33.1%. As a result, it was confirmed that strengthening subjective perception, positive reinforcement of health awareness, and habit of breakfast were important for improvement of physical health status. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a health promotion program based on the factors influencing on the physical health status and to analyze its application effect.
