  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the convergence factors affecting of physical activity level on hemodialysis patients' depression, health-related quality of life and sleep disorders. The participants were 193 hemodialysis patients undergoing hemodialysis in five hospitals in two cities. Data were analyzed by technical statistics, correlation and hierarchical regression. The results showed that depression and physical activity were negatively correlated (r = -.259, p <.01), and physical and mental health related quality of life and physical activity correlated positively (R = .273, p <.01, r = .186, p <.01), respectively. Hierarchical regression analysis showed that the higher the quality of life related to physical health, the higher the level of physical activity of hemodialysis patients (${\beta}=.22$, p <.01). Therefore, it is required to develop an intervention program to improve health-related quality of life by improving the physical activity of hemodialysis patients.

  • Despite the widespread use of digital games as a means of promoting physical activity, little is known about the factors that affect active video gaming. Based on the ecological model of health behavior, this study examined how personal, environmental, and social factors would influence active video gaming and general physical activity. The results showed that while all three factors significantly influence general physical activity, social factor is the only factor that affects active video gaming. The finding highlights the importance of social factors in predicting the use of active video games.

The questionary for physical function state were developed and standardized by kung-hee chung(1993), yang-lae Kim(2005). And mental function state were divided two parts; self-perceived scale and depress scale. The questionary for self-perceived scale were based on MMSE-K(Mini Mental State Examination-Korea). The questionary for Depression were based on Depression Scale developed by Beck(1978), adapted in Korean and standardization by Lee Young-ho & Song Jong-yong(1991), regulated by Jo Gyu-whang(2004). • The purpose of this study attempted to collect basic data for development of an integrated self-management program for cancer survivors who completed cancer treatment. Self-management programs are divided into symptom management and physical activity management. Symptom management includes fatigue, sleep disturbance, pain, depression and anxiety. PubMed, CINAHL and EMBASE were used for searching guidelines. Based on the guideline quality evaluation, the final 8 guidelines were analyzed. The structured table was used to extract the screening subjects, timing, contents, subjects for comprehensive assessment and contents, and summarized contents related to the physical activity and exercise in non-pharmacological approach. As a result, after the completion of cancer treatment, all cancer survivors should be screened regularly using reliable and validated tools. In the case of fatigue, physical activity was recommended as the primary intervention, but it was recommended for other symptoms as adjuvant therapy. Therefore, Cancer survivors should be encouraged to be active in their physical activity, and maintain the moderate intensity physical activity as long as they have no complication related to the cancer treatment. Motivation strategies for physical activity need to be developed and applied.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate difference of Physical Activity and Sedentary Life according to Health and Obesity status. A total of 4,783 adults participated in this study. The subjects were divided to four group(metabolically healthy normal weight; MHNW, metabolically unhealthy normal weight; MUNW, metabolically healthy obesity; MHO, metabolically unhealthy obesity; MUO) and analyzed clinical character, physical activity, and sedentary life time. As results, Compared with MHNW, MHO was higher physical activity and sedentary time but there was no notable differences. Compared with MHNW, MUNW was higher physical activity and lower sedentary time but there was no notable differences. Compared with MUNW, MHO was lower physical activity and sedentary time but there was no notable differences. In conclusion, we suggest that MHO has high physical activity comparing nomal weight group relatively.

  • The purpose of the study was to identify available evidence related to physical activity interventions that were effective to improve health-related physical fitness levels of children and youth with disabilities. Studies were accumulated from multiple databases (i.e., ERIC, Child Development & Adolescent Studies, MEDLINE, SPORTDiscus with Full Text, and CINAHL Plus with Full Text). From the initial process, 1195 articles were identified and of those, 13 studies (n = 13) were analyzed. Based on the results, community-based physical activities were the most common environment of interventions followed by school-based and home-based. Further, the most improved health-related physical fitness outcomes were muscular strength, muscular endurance, and cardiorespiratory endurance while limited evidence on weight reduction was available. There is a need for more research on physical activity intervention which particularly improves health related physical fitness of children and youth with disabilities.

  • There were no significant differences in lumbar spine, femur and forearm BMD values among the three groups. However, the forearm BMD in the moderate activity group and low activity group groups were significantly different when the dominant hand and non-dominant hand were compared (p<0.05). In addition, walking, a form of weight-bearing exercise, is strongly recommended to improve bone health and prevent osteopenia in adolescents. Therefore we conclude that high amounts of daily walking could enhance the non-dominant hand BMD even though anatomically, the forearm bone is not a gravitational burden-bearing bone.
