  • In the acceptance of new technology products, not only the characteristics of the product itself, but also the consumer's psychological perception of the product has a great influence. This study analyzed the effects of psychological variables such as perceived risk, technology trust, and optimistic bias on consumers' intention to accept new technology products. This study selected nanotechnology, and we found consumers with high perceived risk showed relatively low intent to accept nanotechnology products compared to consumers with high perceived risk. However, in case of high level of technology trust, consumers with high perceived risk did not show any significant difference in the intention to accept nanotechnology products. We also found that such moderating effect of technology trust is mediated by optimistic bias. We hope that the findings of this study can give meaningful implications to nanotechnology developers, marketers, and policy makers in nanotechnology industry.

  • Due to imbalances in supply and demand within the labor market, start-ups have emerged as crucial players in the generation of high-quality employment opportunities, particularly in stagnant job markets. In response to this trend, governments are allocating substantial financial and human resources to initiatives that support start-up development. This has led to an increasing rate of engagement in start-up ventures across diverse age groups, not limited to younger individuals. Start-ups are enterprises focused on the commercialization of innovative ideas with the aim of achieving profitability in the marketplace. Research concerning the successful market integration of new products and the attainment of sustainable growth is pivotal. Such research is instrumental not only for the success of start-ups but also for realizing the broader social functions and contributions that these enterprises can offer. Previous research has often examined new product market-entry strategies, often referred to as new product marketing, particularly for large companies and SMEs. However, there is a gap in studies focusing on prototype marketing strategies specific to start-ups. Thus, this study aims to examine the impact of Pre-announcing marketing strategies on the market attention garnered by start-ups with low recognition and limited infrastructure, and how such attention contributes to their sustainable growth. Specifically, the study aims to uncover the causal relationship between information attributes like relevance, vividness, and novelty in building customer relationships, and their impact on purchase intentions influenced by performance expectations and hedonic motivations. In terms of Pre-announcing information attributes, relevance, vividness, and novelty positively influence performance expectations and hedonic motivations as outlined in the extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2). These factors, in turn, positively impact the purchase intention for pre-announced new products from start-ups. These findings are expected to provide both theory and practical insights into the factors influencing market entry through the use of Pre-announcing marketing strategies for start-up new products.

A survey was conducted among male and female consumers, and a total of 328 responses were analyzed. Frequency, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis using SPSS WIN Ver.21.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, clothing consumption value was classified into five factors: social value, fashionable value, individual value, practical value and emotional value. Usefulness and ease of use were found two factors and the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel was found one factor. Second, all factors of clothing consumption value had a positive effect on usefulness. The higher the values of the five factors of clothing consumption value, the higher usefulness. • The acceleration of digital transformation (DX) has resulted in SNS influencer marketing trends becoming the mainstream of the new market. SNS influencers act as early adopters in the process of new products being accepted. Chinese consumers are most affected by Hallyu, which increases interest in K-beauty products. This study analyzes how K-beauty SNS influencers are related to Chinese consumers. A survey was conducted among Chinese millennial consumers after watching videos provided by K-beauty SNS influencer; subsequently, 456 responses were used for data analysis. As a result, the analysis based on the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) distinguishes the central route and the peripheral route in the process of Chinese consumers accepting new SNS products. The study findings suggested that information quality, credibility, accuracy, and usefulness had significant effects on acceptance intention for new products among central route factors, and similarity, trustworthiness, pleasure, expertise, and attractiveness also had significant effects on the acceptance intention of new product among peripheral route factors. It was found that variables of the central route, rather than those of peripheral route, had stronger effects on the acceptance intention for new products. Consequently, the central route of K-beauty SNS influencer is more important to Chinese consumers' acceptance of new products. It is expected that this study will offer beauty influencer marketing-based cosmetics brands efficient consumer management suggestions.

A survey was conducted from February 22, 2021, to February 28, 2021, with Gen Y and Gen Z women in China, and 379 questionnaires were analyzed. The conclusions are as follows: First, the characteristics of beauty influencers are authenticity and expertise, similarity, attractiveness, interactivity, familiarity, and trustworthiness; product characteristics are cost, image, product quality, product perception, sales promotion, and sustainability. Second, partial beauty influencers' characteristics and partial product characteristics have a positive impact on consumer confidence and acceptance intention of the new product. Third, the mediating effect of consumer trust in the process by which beauty influencers' characteristics and product characteristics influence the intention of new product acceptance was determined. Therefore, when beauty companies use influencers in marketing, it is necessary to understand their characteristics, consider their professionality and authenticity, examine their reliability, and assess their ability to form connections with images and viewers that match their products. Additionally, to increase the acceptance intention of new products, companies should present the price of high-quality products, product sensibilities, and corporate images of products and establish measures that can positively affect consumers' acceptance intention of new products by combining them with the characteristics of beauty influencers.

  • This study analyzed the failure cases of new products for relative benefits among various factors related to the characteristics of innovation, which is an important factor in the consumer persuasion process among Rogers (1995)'s innovation diffusion theory. This is because relative profits are the most influential factor in consumers' intention to adopt among the characteristics of various innovative products (Holak and Lenmann, 1990). As a result of analyzing the failure cases of new products of six companies, these products lacked relative profits for existing products in common. Relative profits are factors that are measured in the economic sense or are measured by social advantages, convenience, and satisfaction, and are the most important factors compared to other factors such as suitability, complexity, observability, and applicability. In the end, it was found that relative profits compared to existing products are an important success factor in persuading consumers of new products.
